Refund?

I purchased a Groupon for $40 for $210 value at JCPenneys Portrait Studio about a year ago. It expired in March of 2012. I have tried since to get Groupon to refund my $40, as my family now has no need for portraits....they surprised my husband and me with a beautiful portrait of our children and grandchildren, so they don't plan on getting portraits anytime soon. As well, my husband and had already had portraits taken by another studio, so we don't have a need for them, either. Here I am, stuck with a useless Groupon. I have talked with Customer Service at JCPenneys Portraits and they say that it is in Groupon's hands. This may well be the last time I ever buy a Groupon.

Misrepresentation

Why is it when Groupon can not follow through with their end of the bargain, it is okay? But, when they offer something and don't give you all of the details, you can not get your money back. I have dealt with someone named Naomi T in the customer service department, which absolutely should NOT be working in customer service in any way. I think it is time for Groupon to be looked at in regaurds to how they do business. I will not let this rest until I have been reimbursed.

mislead sales

Don't buy the motorsports Lab package. There are extra charges and potential extra charges over thousands of dollars. Read the 17 page wavier and extra charges doc on motorsports Labs web site first. Groupon so far will not return my $398 yet although I canceled and didn't use the service

Ive being doing business with them for about a six months,they were always slow to pay but at the end of the season I informed them that it was the end of the season as im mobile now im having trouble getting paid for sevices ive already done,since im a small company they figure they can do what they want,ill never do any details for them again and if your considering useing them as a consumer or purchaser I would recommend against it.....

2nd amendment assault

I have removed my e mail and will never participate in a groupon offer again. As a consumer who believes in my 2nd amendment right, I choose to do business with companies which support my rights rather than join the assault on them.

Groupon Cancels Gun-Related Deals, Citing ‘Pressure’

This is very disappointing. If you believe what you offer is legal and provides the customer with a value product or service, you should continue to commit to your vendors and continue these offerings. I believe that you should not submit to these pressures. Doing so is what is making this country weak.

I believe the concept of groupon could be really good for both groupon and vendor although that wasn't my experience. Groupon reps are very nice and accommodating when they call you to get an offer they want but if you call them to run one that is good for your business plan they get arrogant and blow you off. They do not work with you. They misrepresent information: such as details of the offer/contract, dates etc. It saddens me that their customer service was so poor. I am sure the business owner of groupon wouldn't want his business being run like it is. And if he or she does know....shame on them.

i bought a groupon for tribecca spa of tranquility nyc for $69 in sept for body scrub and mani pedi - i made an appt jan 10 but should have been suspicious as i paid in full in sept but thsi spa asked for my cc to reserve the appt- i warned them i would fight any unauthorized charge- when i got there the receptionist asked me for $32 tip plus $5 in tax- a $32 tip which would be 50 % of the total paid- before i had any service - i was appalled and thought this spa was owned by pigs demanding handouts - and how stupid is that?? the receptionist calls the owner and tellls him i refuse to pay the tip and tax- and i said tipping was optional and who asks for a tip before a service- i figure the service must be awful as the courtesy and brains of this place so i am demanding a refund from groupon like fifth one- but this is partly groupons fault as they print on the voucher very stupidly to tip on the original amount-- but who does that- this is thievery and fraud by groupon and the vendor and i am getting tired of prepaying service and requesting refund - using them less and less if at all in future

Bad Customer Service!

I ordered for the first time a few weeks ago. When I receive my confirmation of my order, I noticed that my shipping address was incorrect but my billing address (which was the same as shipping) was correct. I went to their website to correct it before shipping occured and contacted customer support to request a correction. They informed me they could not make the changes until I made another purchase from them? Are you kidding me? Now my order is going to someone else's address? I asked for their corporate officers names, phone number's etc. They will not give you any information willingly and they do not provide you with last names. I called corporate number and guess what? their mail box is full and no living person answers the phone. GROUPON is a big Scam!

Groupons's Excellent Customer Services makes Supporting Small Businesses Easier

I've purchased nearly 30 Groupons over the course of the past year. I only had trouble with two of those Groupons. One was a good and one was a local service voucher. The good was a simple problem with a hair product having arrived without application instructions. I contacted Groupon and they promptly sent me instructions via e-mail The local service was an issue with the business having relocated and changing their hours after selling the Groupon, making it impossible for me to use the Groupon. I contacted Groupon and they refunded my money and were extremely apologetic. In both cases their customer service was excellent. I have thoroughly enjoyed using my other Groupons. I have found many small business that I now use repeatedly. For example, I now spend more than a hundred dollars getting my hair done every six weeks at a hair salon that I discovered by buying a Groupon for a manicure. My experience with Groupon has been five stars and I'll continue to buy Groupon. I love being introduced to businesses in my community that I might never otherwise discover. And, I love having Groupon's excellent customer service to back up my purchase.

bad customer service

worst customer service ever! they charged me for a watch that I never ordered and that I even returned which was then signed for so now I am waiting to get my refund even though I shouldn't have even been charged in the first place! ridiculous

dissatified customer service

purchased Groupon, did not use it because i cancelled first appointment within 4 hours...when I went to reschedule, the merchant told me there was a 24 hour cancellation notice, which was NO WHERE on the fine print. Merchant told me to get my money back and called Groupon. Groupon is denying she called. I have written and called customer service 10 times and still no results. I'm out $35.00 and will probably never use Groupon again.

Disappointing Service..

I have ordered a Steam Cleaner from this company. i am in Bangkok and was told that I could collect it from their local office in 1 month. I did so and was told that it had not been sent from the manufacturers yet and it would now be sent to my home the next day at no extra charge. On phoning them the following day I was told that it would now be later in the week. They were quick to take my money when I ordered the thing so I expected the same in return. I am beginning to think that this company is just a BIG CON. very disappointed.

I bought 5 meters led stripe and when I opened the box, there was an information message saying that the 12 Volt 3 ampere trasformer, was not included and had to be bought. Unfortunately I was not able to find it to any store, unless I ordered with the led stripe. I wrote Groupon to know where I could buy it but I got no response. It is a fraud, stay away from this Company.

cannot get into my old groupons since my old e mail has been changed,and the e mail suppport does not work at all.Also,I try to call,and the mail box is full 24 hours a day.HORRIBLE SERVICE!

I ordered 2, "60-minute Relaxation or Deep-Tissue Massage ( a $95. value) for $32.00 at a Chiropractic wellness and Massage Center First, you listed the incorrect phone number. After talking to the office manager and the Chiropractor, I was told that the cost of a 1 hour massage, regular or deep tissue is $35. and 1/2 hour is $20.00. I checked it out per an inquiry phone call and yep, $35. & $20. So where's the $95. value? After questioning this with the Chiropractor, I received a long dissertation on semantics. Just make sure they don't charge your insurance company.

I purchased a groupon for Oberwise today. What a disaster!!!! I will never use either services again!!! First of all I have spent over two hours on the phone with both Oberwise and Groupon BOTH blaming each other. The head of Oberwise called me, it got to that point. I then called Groupon when yet again my groupon did not go through and they were rude. No consideration for the time that I have taken from my day in order to deal with this. I told them to delete my account. The manager I talked to ten minutes ago, what a joke. They seriously missed the business class on customer service, because I will tell you in no way shape or form did they even care that they inconvenienced me.

Just to let all of you know, Groupon Singapore is doing the same too! They had even given me the dates and times, 4 times, to deliver my 3 items but there was NO DELIVERY and NO Followup. I called the company many times and sent emails. Each time when I eventually managed to speak to someone, he/she said it would be looked into but it NEVER DID! Items were bought in June and July 2012! I STILL DON'T KNOW IF I'D EVER GET THEM! They even hang up the phone! This company is a fraud! SO DO NOT BE FOOLED! The rating should NOT be 1 star. It should be less than ZERO! But the rating system does not have it, making those who did not wish to give it a star ended up, I think, 'jump' into 5 stars! Your website stated: "We do not know the accuracy of the reviews". I believe they are all genuine based on the very bad experiences and anger felt by all your customers! Please, if you do not wish the collapse of the company, do something about it to get back customers confidence!

I placed an order from Groupon in August, it's the almost the end of September and still have not received my order. I checked the tracking # provided and my order was delivered to someone in Beaumont CA. I live in Moseley VA. Contacted customer Service a number of times and still waiting for a resolution. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!

I bought 2 Groupon coupons 6 months ago for a Shabu-Sushi buffet. When I tried to call to make a reservation, there was no pick-up. After wasting 2 days, I called Groupon and was told by Emmanuel (support centre) that the restaurant has decided to dishonour the coupons! I just spent the last 2 months trying to get Groupon to refund my money. I forwarded them my vouchers, reference numbers, e-mail address, credit card details and they still insist that they cannot refund me my money because they cannot find my purchse in their system! Is it my problem that their system is screwed-up? Conclusion: Groupon is a scam! They take a hugh percentage (like 50%) from the merchant for all the coupon sales; when the merchant refuse to honor the coupon, its just too bad for the consumers. Groupon DO NOT refund you your money. Don't buy Groupon coupons. The potential savings is not worth the time and RISK!
