I had my hair permed at the Cranberry Mall, PA, rt 19 location and it did not turn out correct. It is all frizzy and stringy. 2 days after the perm I went back for them to fix it. Because your policy is ""My receipt says "your satisfaction is fully guaranteed." What does that mean?
It's very important to us that you leave happy. Please let us know if we've made a mistake so we can do our best to make it right. You can even bring your receipt to any Great Clips salon for a free fix"
I was told they can not re-perm it for a few weeks. This does not fit into my schedule. I asked for a refund, I was told no and then offered a certificate for a reperm. I said Ok. But.... then the manager was called (also the person who permed my hair) and she said that is was Ok when i left and insinuated that I dd something to screw it up. The best she would do is give me coupons for free haircut. meanwhile I look like a hag. It is the worst perm I have ever had and it was just suppose to be a body wave. My family and friends have frequented Great Clips ever since it opened and we will not go again after this type of treatment. It appears you company does not value their customers

Me and my mom have been going to great clips for a few years now.I usually walk out with a decent simple hair cut that looks well except the other day.At the front desk she asked me if I just wanted a trim.I said yes but usually they just ask me if i want a hair cut today.She takes me to the cutting chair and asks me how many inches i want off.I just said I wanted it shortened up but not really short.Then she combs my hair straight up on top and says how many inches i want off.My hair is a bit long at this time.If I said 1 inch,I don't know what that would be like all the way around my head.I don't cut hair.I said again just shorter then it is but not way short,but even.Then she's pulling my hair from here and there.How much off here?How much off there?I'm not the one giving the hair cut!Well i finally got a chance to say usually I say just give me a layered cut not too short.Then she says now you tell me as if she already started cutting but she didn't.Then she raises her arms and says were not on the same page here.I haven't had this much trouble getting a cut in years.She took the clippers and just started chopping all through my hair every where without being careful.After she chopped my hair shorter then a school boy on the sides and back she lifts the front of my hair and says how much off the front right here.I said make it all even and mach.I kept my cool and hoped for the best and i stayed nice.She didn't know what she was doing.I got home and looked it over more.She basically cut 2 bald spots above my eyes to the sides because it was way too short and left too much length still hangs in my eyes slightly right in the front.It looks like a giant mustache on the front of my head.I cant go anywhere because it looks so bad and cant be fixed I also don't wear hats.I took pictures but what can I do?The customer feed back never called me back either.

Person who cut my hair was high on something I specifically said I wanted to keep my hair long.. End result was that I can not even put my hair in a ponytail. I asked for her manager and she claimed to be it. I asked for her manager she denied me the info. I went home, cried, and tried to fix it my self. The parts that she didn't chop off were completely jagged and lopsided. don't ever go to villa park, IL great clips! Ever!!

When a stylist asks you how you want your hair cut and you tell her that you still want to be able to use a curling iron to which she says how big is your curling iron. 3/4" I reply. My hair is 1/2" long now. She totally messed up my hair. Some days I have to wash my hair 3 to 4 times and start all over in order for it to do anything. The general manager, the manager, the owner, even corporate office have not done ANYTHING to MY satisfaction. Having me come in to have another stylist see what she can do is not the answer. She thinks it is. I will not let this rest until it is handled to my satisfaction. If that means I have to call them everyday then I will. This WILL be dealt with to MY satisfaction and not theirs.

I took my lap top into the McMinnville OR Great clips with a picture of what I wanted it was a aline hair cut to my sholders my hair was past my shoulders ! Well one side was shorter than the other the sides and back were zing zang had cut the back to short ! I liked like the doll head from toy story ! my kids could of done a better job then this women who had been cutting hair for 8yrs ! To top it off my daughter who asked for a trim half of her hair was cut wrong and the other half was not cut what for $15 ! So I went home to dry my hair because it was wet on one side and not the other ! I dried it and that is what I got so called the place they heard my voice and put the phone down tried for two day to call and no one will pick it up !

My wife went in for a trim today and the stylist at the Hixson,TN location, RIPPED her hair out of her head so bad that it took uneven CHUNKS/ GAPS ALL over! When she got back home I noticed IT! I didnt want to say anything because my wifeI am pissed OFF!!! I get back from Afghanistan and I see my wife being mistreated... Not smart! You will see my face. When you open and I will get my money back along with legal representation. It's convenient, brothers a lawyer. is a soft spoken loving person that gives her heart out to anyone. I could also tell that she had been crying due to the horrific experience! My wife informed me that the lady vigorusly and repeatedly combed my wifes (naturally curly) blond beautiful hair without using anything.... DRY!!!! I have worked for Great Clips for 15 years,and I have never been treated so poorly and discriminated upon because Im white at this salon Ive worked at. I worked there for 6 1/2 years. Was great at first because I would work 10 hours shifts,and basically lived there. I also have 3 children,a husband and a house to take care of. There are all almost all Asians working there,and Russian. There is only one white person left. All the Asians were treated better because they worked for whatever shift and for however long. My back and feet cannot take those kinds of shifts.I started suffering from anxiety working there. owner would stand and stare at you until you were done doing a haircut so you could take another. Sometimes when really busy, we were told to just keep going. I couldnt,so was made feel guilty for taking a lunch. I thought i should contact you guy i went into the greatclips in sylvania ohio the one by magic wok i beleive its called sylvania walk. Well i was getting my hair done there later on in the day. As i over heard the MANGER talkin about another STYLIST as she walked away.As i heard the STYLIST in the back cleaning she seemd sad after that. The young lady in the back had said "seriously is she really saying that about me wow!" i have no clue who she was talking to i think she was talking to someone else in the breakroom. BUT before this She was cutting someone hair in the chair the MANGER was,She seemed to be drillig the lady with questions. "So you wanted me to cut your hair" the lady in the chair said something she had a quiet voice did not understand her. As i continued to listen The MANGER seemed angery after the responce. As i checked out the MANGER skulled the girls over the lady that was sitting in her chair im not sure what happend before but the young lady in the back was crying and i believe she was on the phone and explained to someone on the phone that the MANGER was mad because she interrupted her smoke brake took her anger out on her and the lady in the MANGERS chair wanted a more experianced person to cut her hair and one of the girls named starts with a C or K not sure how to say or spell had sent the young lady-{the one in the breakroom} to grab the MANGER from outside in her car smoking. Im not sure what happen after i had left but i go in there every so often but i never use the same phone number but all i know a MANGER is to lead by example not talk about others she is not to yell at anyone on the cutting floor save that for the break room or the back office.

As i said previously i have gone in there. I know of one lady in there and im not sure why she is not fired yet. Its very displeasing to hear the conversation that she has with her clients. She is very disrespectful and rude. She gets an attitude with her clients if she doesnt understand what there saying. She has cut my hair one time and i was not happy with what she did. She is a lady with a mowhak and her hair is brown. I can remeber as time when i went in there and she was talking to someone in her chair how she was a "crackhead,herion junkie". And she has been sober for 7 months but i know she has been working there for about a year or more. It's very upsetting to know that those previous months that she was not sober she was not only hired but cutting coustmers hair high! The manger was on the floor that day as she was telling the client all of this and did not say one word! I can not believe that the owner of this store lets this go on! If he doesnt know he really needs to get a new manger and a new stylist this is outrageous and there needs to be a end to this im so dissapointed the these two young ladies!

I don't understand why you name yourselves great clips. My hair is long, and thick. When I went to "Great" clips, I was sat down by a rude lady. I told her how I wanted MY HAIR and she said okay. When I reminded her as she was cutting, she told me no, I can't have my hair that way. I was like, excuse me, this is my hair, NOT YOURS. When she was done with my hair, I had long pieces jutting out of my hair. My bangs were half trimmed, when she straightened my hair, she puts hairspray on before. My hair began to flake off. She was rude, and I will NEVER go back to "GREAT" clips.

I recently took my daughter to the Great Clips in Fairborn, Ohio on Dayton Yellowsprings Rd, and the manager Twila did her hair. She was very professional and explained everything she was doing also this was the best haircut she has ever had we will be returning and telling everyone to go see Twila. It is so hard to find a great hairdresser and I am so greatful to have found this one. Thank you Great Clips for having such a wonderful staff.

My hair is a mess! Im 13, and what I look for in hair is style! When I went to GREAT CLIPS, I absolutely did NOT get style! I got uneven, choppy ends. Which look like someone ran over them with a lawn mower! It looks awful in braids, obviously the lady did NOT know what she was doing. I am ashamed of the mess she put in my hair! UGLY UGLY MESS. never go to a "grand" opening at great clips. There were several pieces of long hair. Topping, my ugly mess, she was totally rude. I will never go to GREAT CLIPS EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER again.I'd rather pay $25 for a hair cut than at a trip on not so great clips.

Omg you ruined my 5th grade year I needed a hair cut realllllyyy bad and my mom didn't have time 2 take me to our regular hair dresser and my hair wuz pretty and find but you damaged my hair so that it puffed on one side and the other side it was flat and your an IDIOT my mom wanted her hair bleached how hard is that and you bleached it then made it like brown i mean WTF your such idiots i hate that place soooo much you even messed up my dads hair and all he wanted was a buzz cut so really your just hair retared

Twice, I have been to the Great Clips in Florissant, MO, located on New Halls Ferry Road. One particular experience makes me wary of that place.
I went in for a haircut and wash, and it had been a few months since my last haircut. I have a slight issue with dry scalp, but have never been treated as horribly about it before.
The girl who cut my hair seemed disgusted, telling me (loudly) that I needed to use a clarifying shampoo, that my hair was "really bad", and then talking about a customer being worked on beside us, saying, "look at her hair. It's so nice and shiny, don't you want hair like that?" Continuing to exmaine my hair as she cut it, she suddenly said in a LOUD whisper, "Honey, I think you may have lice." She than said loudly to her coworker beside her, "Can you come over here and look at this?" I was mortified. Her coworker came over, and my "stylist" said, (loudly, of course) "Is this lice?" Her coworker looked at it for about a second, and said no. The girl contined to cut my hair then. I WOULD HAVE left, but I didn't want to go with half cut hair.
After the cut was over, Thank God, becuase by then I wanted to melt into the floorboards, she took me to the front counter to print out my bill. She actually seemed surprised she wasn't getting a tip!
By the way, my husband was getting his haitcut nearby, and heard everthing she had said. So embarrasing! He knew she was ridiculous, but still!
The cut wasn't bad actually, but I have heard of a lot of other people woho have had trouble with the "stylists" at Great Clips, who seemed to lack the common sense it takes to treat customers nicely and not embarrass them. Maybe a class on customer serivce is in order? And while your at it, one on haircutting. A friend was in the same Great Clips recently, and said that a woman came in to have her hair redone becuase one side had been cut longer than the other. Yikes! Just what you want to hear when getting a haircut!

My short note is to inform you that yesterday i ent to one of your greatclips saloon , located at :902 Kitty Hawk, univerzasl city, texas. there the air conditioner was down, so I asked the attendent and she told me that someone was there earlier to check the unit and that they told her the unit compressor was out. Well! first of all i do not believe that the compressor is out since that business it is only been open for about five years or so, I am a proffessioanl A/c repair, . I have just had a horrendous experience at the Great Clips located at 3322 Sugarloaf Pkwy suite -100 Lawrence Ga. I have been using this same location for the past three years and have had nothing but great experiences there.
However I just left the location and I am at a appoint I do not know what to do, my hair looks like someone cut it with a dull bladed lawnmower, and I have large gaps and holes in my hair, valleys. It looks awful, and I am ashamed to go out in public I look like a freak. I had to ask the stylist to stop cutting my hair. I understand he was new, but someone should have been supervising him. The young lady whom was working with attempted to correct it as best she could but short of shaving my head there was little she could do. She apologized over and over for his lack of workmanship and stated she was sorry. I am 52 years old and do not want to shave my head.
Also I work for a local County Government and have to be out in the public eye every day. And this is a totally unacceptable look. But more important my granddaughter is having her christening this Sunday so we have people coming to town for the event and I can NOT wear a hat in church. I am so upset I could almost cry!!!!!!
Brenda in you corporate office was very little help, refusing to allow me to talk with anyone else there stating �I cannot transfer you� that to me is poor customer service. However I am still faced with my problem. I feel like I want to get a permit from city hall and stand in front of the business with a sign to look at what they did to me. I am not looking for a free hair cut or coupons I want help.

I have been to many Great Clips over my 40 years of Life. Granted. Not all of them have been supior cuts, but the majority of them have been great. Its not the Price of the cut. It's the person giving it. You can not base a whole company on one bad cut. Mistakes are made. Don't tell me in your whole career. YOU never made a mistake at your own job!! As far as I am concered. They are good poeple who truely try and give you great hair when you leave. It is their reputation as stylist that walk out that door with you. and remember. It's only hair and it will grow back. As for debasing a WHOLE company off one bad apple.. maybe you should do some soul searching before you critisize someone. As for the woman that the girls where saying you where a bad mom for cutting your daughters hair. I seriously doubt they where saying that. You probably just head with your heart instead of your ears. though, I have been in some places where the stylist where mean, I never visited that place again. Thank you

Thought I would save some money and use a coupon that arrived in the mail for $4.99, afterall I have 4 kids. I usually spend $16 at a local place for the last 4 years. After arriving to the Denville, NJ location, I waited for 10 minutes before even being acknowledged. She took my name and put in the computer for obvious marketing reasons. I sat down and, in walks three other customers. They stood at the register in LINE behind each other for 10 minutes, not wanting to move or sit down and lose their spot. There were only two "haircutters" there. I was next, I sat down with the young girl and asked her how long she has been cutting hair. She told me a few years at a place that is very far away. I glance over at her license and she just got it two months ago. I stood up and looked in the mirror and was embarrassed of how I looked! I immediately got in my car and made an appointment at my regular place, 20 minutes later! where she cut fixed it for NO CHARGE. She said the owner is never there and is opening two other locations in the area??? I will never go to Great Clips again and love sharing my horrible experience with anyone who will listen. Thought you should know.

I worked for GC in Utah. The owner of my store is John Lehmen and it was horriable. They do not know how to treat their employees. All they care about is cutting hair in ten minutes. Well as you can see with all the complaints is you can't do a good hair cut in that time. Somehow Great Clips has lost what it means to truely treat a guest in a salon. I am truly embarrassed that I even worked for Great Clips. I know you as a company will never change. It is sad, even when I worked there the guests would complain about what a crapy place and what a crapy job we did. I would think to myself "then why are you coming back". It was awful You have no idea what guests want not even a small clue.

Well you should try working at a Great Clips. I have 20 years experience and have owned my own business. I'm moving to Long Beach island and applied for a job at the Manahawkin salon. The girl told me after the interview she would be in touch the next day. I didn't hear from her for a week. I finally called assuming I didn't get the job, but wanted feed back on what I could do better at my next interview. She told me she loved me and hired me. I went in for training and the assistant manager had a attitude right off the bat. Talking down to me like I was a idiot. I figured just keep my mouth shut I'm the new girl. My first day I performed at the rate that Great Clips wants and above. Doing enough haircuts to raise my hourly pay by 2 dollars. I even worked late because there were clients coming in and having owned my own business the client is the most important person. I thought I did well that day 18 haircuts in 6 hours. My next work day, I asked for help with the computer a few times and the girl who help me spoke to me in an embarrassing tone in front of clients. The second time she did it I ask her please do not speak to me that way.Afterward she came up to me and said we needed to talk, I was with a client and told her when the shop was free of clients we would. The other stylist and myself worked this out. But then management got involved and the chaos was insane. The part time manager obviously didn't like me and I did not realize this. She accused me of things I didn't even do. Even the other stylist agreed it was blown way out of proportion. They made me sign a paper that said I acted badly. When I didn't want to management said I would not receive my check if I did not. Management said everything was fine but if it happened again I would be suspended. I thought ok lets get past this maybe this will still work out. At the end of the day I was called in by another manager who fired me. I even had a request today from a client because someone came into her job bragging what a great stylist I am so she wanted me to cut her hair. I worked for Great Clips one day and was already getting requests, stayed late for the company and performed at the top of what the company wants.I get fired for something me and another stylist worked out just fine.

ThE ABSOLUTE WORST PLACE TO EVER GET YOUR HAIR CUT. THE MANAGER WHO CUT MY MOTHERS HAIR WAS RUDE BUTCHERED HER HAIR. IT WAS A VERY COMMON HAIR CUT. HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF WMEN HAVE THEIR HAIR STACKED IN THE BACK AND WHISPY SIDES AND TOP. MY MOTHER CAN NOT STOP CRYING WE WERE SUPPOSED TO GET FAMILY PICTURES TAKEN FOR CHRISTMAS AND COULD NOT. I needed a haircut bad after i was released from jail and my hair was of of control so i decided to give great clips a try. well I walked in and this young beauitful woman walked up and said welcome to Great Clips and can i help you? I said I need a cut bad so she took me back to the chair and she had asked me what are we doing today I told her lets do a number 2 on the sides and back. Well she started cutting and the hair was falling then I noticed it was shorter than it looked before with a number 2 so I asked to see the blade and she told me it was a 2. Once she was finished I grabed the clipper and looked at the blade and it was a 1. I told her I am not paying for the cut because you didn't do what I asked. She told me I wolud have to pay and she would contact a manager about the service and she would contact me.As of this date no one has contact me. I thought this stylist named Crsytal would have given me a great cut she even gave me her phone number and I don't know why.

how about went to get my hair shampooed and styled. stylist barely shampooed my hair, everything i ask him to do he didnt. it was horrible then he over charged me. I argue and walked out and he called police , they said either pay or go to jail. Me making my point said ur gonna have to take me to jail then, 3 days in and a 825.00 fine and they took my drivers license. I am seeking attorney for damages. All because I was an unsatisfied client. and also the stylist was rushing to get me done. HORRIBLE........

Thank you !! I recently moved from New Jersey, where I had the same stylist for the last 15 years. With all the other worries of moving, finding my soon-to-be new stylist was amongst one of my top concerns as I had been used to a certain level of service and am very particular when it comes to my hair. I had several bad experiences throughout San Antonio including some high end salons. I was willing to travel, cost not being a consideration, to find that one individual I could trust to cut/style my hair every two weeks. A business trip came up and I needed my hair cut immediately. I stopped into your Gateway Plaza location (Live Oak/Selma, TX) and thought I would give it a try as my options were running out. Thank God I did !! Your stylist, Krisin Watts, has been a true blessing. Professional, courteous and empathetic to my particular wants ... absolutely someone that makes my experience truly a pleasure not to mention the great job she does!! My only concern is what I am going to do if she ever leaves, as I frequent your establishment solely because of her. Please pass this along to Krisin and her management team. True talent, superior customer service and a smile that lights the place up should be rewarded!!!

I took my daughter to Great Clips a few weeks ago as she needed her hair cut badly. She is 9 and had long hair that she wasn't taking care of and we decided to have it cut into a bob. My mother was a GREAT hairdresser for over 30 until her death and my sister is also a very good hairdresser but I don't live near her for a haircut so growing up I am aware of haircutting. My daughter received a horrible haircut!!!!! So crooked! I was so angry that when I left I had to pay someone else to fix her haircut. I won't waste my money on Great Clips again ever! Horrible horrible experience. Also, the "stylists" there were rude towards me...talking amongst themselves loudly about how I was a bad mom for having my daughters hair cut off. My daughter had her hair cut because she wasn't taking care of it, not because I'm a bad mom. I was insulted and the hair cut was horrible.

You know I realize getting a haircut for a man should not be a big complicated deal. I just went into a Great Clips in Dade City Fl and gave specific, but simple instructions on how I wanted my hair cut - even showed the girl with my fingers how I wanted it cut around my ears. She listened and started cutting. I told not to cut much if anything in the back or around the ears, but something DID NOT REGISTER, she went sissor happy in both places, more around one ear than the other. She didn't even comb my hair when she was done. WTH? Am I wrong here, or someone please fill me in???

Went to get a haircut, asked to have it dryed and the hairdresser used her fingers saying if she used a brush which she had not one she would have to charge me for a style? I was a stylist for years and when I worked I khad brushes, all kinds, I even had scissors, combs etc... what is going on with Great Clips?

i got a perm done on my hair the first week of june. the girl that gave me the perm totaly fried my hair. no treatment was offered.i have been going through a lot of emotional stress. because i had really nice hair, now it looks like a pile of straw. i would like a refund of $45.00. i have been goig for treatments else where.i am thinking of talking to someone on the cosmetolgy board. would appreciate hearing from you on this matter. my email address is rt12co@netzero.com
