Great Clips for Hair Corporate Office & Headquarters

My sister-in-law recently visited one of your salons and was refused services. She was told that they do not cut Black peoples' hair. What is that about? She ended up going to another salon and paying almost three times as much for a hair cut. She had purchased a hair extension from your salon. You were more than happy to sell her that. It was a human hair extension and was quite expensive. Looks like a boycott may be in your future as she has posted her experience on Facebook.

Just got one of the best haircuts from Rachael at the 7260 Greenbay Rd. location in Kenosha , WI. She was amazing. Although she recomended a style a bit different then what I went in for .. it turned out GREAT.. she knows her stuff .. have gotten the best compliments and would def. go back to her again. She almost made me cry when I saw how she transformed my hair from limp to body & movement with layers. What an asset to your company! I would def. go back to her again. Can't think of anywhere else I would go now.

I have gone here for a hair cut many times, and will only use one older woman to do my hair, but I definitely wouldn't let anyone else cut my hair in this place. I can't believe how some women walk out th door after they get their hair cut. Most of them rush to finish the hair due to them being told one person every 15 mins., but then when they have customers waiting, since they don't accept appointments, they take the time to do their own hair or chat away on their cell phones or with another stylist. I shouldn't even call them stylists, and I always wonder why they don't have their licenses posted while they are working. Makes me wonder if they just get hired because they say they can do hair, which they sure can't. The problem is that the owner is never there to see what these young people do to people's hair, and she is more interested in making money. they use to give seniors a discount, but they stopped this a while back, and they also increased their prices. I have a friend that goes to Great Clips in a neighboring state, and she says they still give the senior discounts. I thought they all charged the same prices and gave the same discounts, but I have found out differently. If the woman that does my hair ever leaves I will never return to Great Clips, as she is concerned about doing your hair correctly and the way you want it done. This is why she has so many people asking for her, while the others sit there having no customers when they are slow.

Im sorry but the people here are shady. I worked untill everyone was done with the shops vacations . I feel they made up complantes to get me out,maybe cause Im not two faced i dont fit in. I was working doubled for my boss so she could enjoy a weekend at the hard rock. I watched a nother ladys house and did most of the hours While she was on her two week vacation, i had stopped by to give the girl homeade soup and her husband attact my efforts and told me to leave. I was never late or missed a day i was the top in sales. I know every time i worked the store was spotless. I needed a little time, to move my time down my adverage was 18 mins_ 20min and as i understand they have to be 13m_ 17. My boss I have tried to get in contact with to get a termination papers together for the state , she egnores my call and my needs . I never caused any problems and would never treated any one so poorly and all i need are these papers

I have been trying to get a job with GReat Clips. I went to the store and fill out an application, I applied on line. Why are they not calling me for a job when they ate hiring. I use to work at Great Clips. A great place to work.

On October 19 2012 my wife and i went into a Great Clips located in Elgin Illinois on South Randall Road Suite 246. as we my wife and i was giving the girl at the check in counter our name and phone number another customer came up to my wife and reached into her purse taking her wallet from her. Funny thing about it all of your employees saw this and all denied it until i called for the Elgin Police. the good thing was the customer was caught the wallet was returned and nobody was hurt. the manager of that great clips is Bobbi Phommaleuth informed the elgin police that Great Clips has a security camera but it has not worked in weeks or even months. i really feel that when someone enters a business they should feel safe, but i quess the ownwer of this Great Clips Frank Hoisteadter feels different about it.

My daughter worked her behind off for a Great Clips in Eagle Mountain, Utah. She got laid off after a few months because she did not meet their standards- that means 8-15 minute hair cuts, because she does a nice job, and is an expert on soldier cuts which are very difficult. Too bad these places aren't unionized, then this crap would stop.

To the stylist that said Great Clips should be slave clips, is exactly right. I have worked for great clips 6 years. The franchisees do not give a damm how they talk to their stylists or treat them. Most of them do not know anything about the hair industry, they are not even licensed cosmotologists. They all want you to rush to do haircuts before the 17 minutes are up. They pressure you to sell their brand of products,they do not offer good benefits nor do they give good raises. They will give you a raise of $ .25 which is very unfair to the stylist who is standing up all day behind the chair.They have a poor quality pay scale,most salons offer you up to 50% great clips does not. I am delinitely considering moving on to something better. I was promised better pay and advancement in management training but have not received any. They are nothing but liars using other people for their purpose.

I WENT TO GREAT CLIPS IN FRANKFORT, INDIANA ON 8/7/2012 AT 3:54PM AND GOT THE WORST, THE MOST EMBARASSING HAIR CUT IN MY ENTIRE LIFE... THE LADY THERE LINDSEY, WAS TALKIN BOUT HER AN HER FIANCE HAVIN DIFFICULTIES THAT DAY AND HIM ALMOST HAVIN HER IN TEARS....AND I END UP LOOKING LIKE A SQUA CAUGHT BY THE GREAT WHITE CHEIF AND HAD THE WORST SCALPING OF MY LIFE.. I AM NOT THRILLED WITH MY PHYSICAL APPEARANCE AT ALL, THE ONLY THING I WAS SOMEWHAT SATISFIED WITH WAS MY HAIR, NOW I DONT EVEN HAVE THAT... Twice now I've gone to Great Clips in Morgantown, PA and I got bad hair cuts, where do you get your stylists? I told her how I wanted my haircut and she told me how she should cut it. Several other people I know got bad hair cuts. My hair looks like someone put a bowl on my head and cut it. I've been going there for years and this is just getting bad the last few times I've gone. I got great hair cuts before. What has changed and why are so many people getting bad hair cuts? I would appreciate an answer to why your stylists don't seem to know the first thing about cutting hair, and I understand they are on a time limit. But, when I get a hair cut I want it cut the way I ask. She even told me I should look in a book and pick out a style and she asked me if I was going to continue to color my hair. She was rude and unprofessional. Please contact me!!!!!I am very disappointed if the service I received.

My boyfriend got the worst hair cut ever by ann in highland indiana every month he goes there and it looks like complete sh** they lady took 5 minutes to do his hair and when he called back to get his money back and the tip they said no and they would redo it for free well if they did they would have to shave his whole head they call themselves professionals i think not and they lady on the phone said people have these days so thats okay if a doctor has these days? No and we are going on a trip soon and his hair will look terrible thank you ann from great clips in highland you have done the worst job ever and great clips call themselves professionals we will never be coming back to you guys thanks for a bad expirence

I had the worst haircut. I asked for the same haircut I got last time. I ended up with a shag haircut, layers, and uneven ends. I went back to show them, they wanted to try to fix it. I would not have any hair left or it would be way too short. I waited a month I thought it would grow out of it. I went back with my reciept and askesd for a refund. NOOOO refunds. I got a gift certificate for another haircut. I should get my free touch up plus a haircut. It will take at least that much to repair the damage. It's less than one star here.

I took my two little boys in for haircuts today (Santa Clara--Eugene, OR) and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. My autistic 6 year old is a little energetic (he likes to explore) and my 3 year old is afraid of haircuts so he wiggled during his. The two women working were both so outwardly rude, I almost walked out. One is autistic and one is 3. The first had his hair cut and it looked terrible. I'm going to have to fix it myself. My 6 year old sat perfectly still for his and even that has some really bad spots that need fixing. I shouldn't have tipped these ladies. When we left one said, "Come back again" and the other laughed and said, "Yeah, right!" Have they never been with a child with special needs or cut a difficult child's hair? I was amazed and so deeply offended. I will never return and would recommend anyone with children with special needs not support such a disrespectful business.

worst salon ever i dont even know where you pick your stylist from but i do know for a fact a girl named brittany bakely who works at the huntley il location is on drugs and the store manager and assistant manager will not drug test her because they know for a fact she will lose her job personally i dont think the girl should be holding a pair of shears or have a cosmo license. most unprofessional place ive been and the girls are all white trash unless you are getting a buzz cut i wouldnt go there.

I had my hair cut at Great Clips in a suburban Georgia location. A black woman was taking peoples names I asked specifically when a particular person would be there, she was very hateful, I later heard from another person that was her modus operandi, it seems she thinks because of her color she can get by with whatever she chooses, the mgr at this particular store has been told about her but she doesn't do anything about it simply because the woman is black, now how unfair is that. I won't go back I refuse to be treated so rudely.

Hi, my name is Rocky Young, Im not sure where you guys are located, but I live in Lafayette, IN and I graduated in your same industry. As we all know you grow to like certain things and dislike other.(perms-Updos-Woman with super long hair and their not sure whether they want two inches off or a bob)Before I graduated I set my goals high for how I will use the knowlegde I've gained. So in conclusion from graduting I have recently started my owe business. To make a long story shorter, my ideas ranch from cutting men and women's hair, selling products such as perfume, cologane, brushes and Hats. A place that caters to the person that works days and gets off too late to get that haircut or that present for the your wifes B-day. Thus the employer not being on a schedule, not making numbers and clients not worring "can this girl cut my hair right?". But more less showing care to the individual. Employees and clients. Never the less I am an Africn American therefore my ideas take different turns than the usual. I would like a chain of Salon/Barber shops that understand the needs of african American through out the United states. My goals are not the goals of a raceist man but yet a man that would be please to educate the welling in the process of understanding the needs of all individuals, Black, White, Hispanic, Bi-racial, Etc. I went in to Great Clips and the lady that cut my hair was the manager and my hair look a hot mess and she, mess my hair up and I need to speak to someone from the corp office because it's sad how she suppose to be the managerr and mess up my hair. Thanks A very angry customer

Hi and Hello, I've been a Stylist for Four years now and have been to many salons looking for a "fit". As it turns out my life has taken new directions [as many people do] and had to find a place that could accommodate my work schedule, as well as a comfortable atmosphere without the absurd uniforms. Great Clips as other stylist have told me is suppose to be a part time job. I've been with Great Clips for almost a year now working fulltime and its just like every other corporate franchise. Salons should not be franchised. You cannot be a happy and healthy stylist worring about what numbers your missing, if your product sales are meeting, how long that cut took you and if your boss will put mats down under the chairs so you don't pass out from how they over work you. Its all about numbers with Great clips. You are a number, their customer is a number. how else are they going to make money if they don't push and push and push you till your all dried up. Slave cuts is what they should be named. because you better give every man, woman and child a buzz cut to meet that twelve to fifteen min cut time as well as make product sales, be fake enough to have a thirty second conceltation, and a ten min cut. You dont have enough time to get to know the client and if your doing fifteen min cuts on a 8 hr shift, I wonder how many people that is? Do you think you can do thirty-two hair cuts a day and be perky and meet every thing expected? who ever decided it was ok to make hair salons a chain business is a moron, you can not crush numbers on an art. interdependently owned salons are the places that should be trusted with kind hands and a loving heart. Sadly these are dieing out because of convenience, as well as money assurance. with a franchise I know my hourly and when my check will be in. As a young twenty-something, with two creative businesses and a increase in hobbies turned career, in order to fuel these careers I need steady so these can bloom. My One Year is coming up and I have lined up interviews else where. As well as i heard about Upscale Male from my mother whom is also a beautician. handed me a flyer, twenty to twenty-five bucks an hour, consistent schedules, sun off, drama-free environment, no clientele needed, and no RUSH/TIMED haircuts! I think they will give Great clips a run for their money, I know thats where I'm going. -young and corp free
