My brother bought furniture on Saturday May 12 and set up the delervery date of Wednesday May 16th, they didnt show by 5pm that night when he called they said they cant come til next day 1030am, ONE man showed up that next day and wanted my brother to help carry a pull out bed up 2 flights of stairs, my brother got lucky and found 2 maintance workers where he lives at and they helped. he paid them 20.00. my brother and myself went back to the store in norfolk va on saturday may 19th and spoke with store manager Mr. Brown and he would not give us the 20.00. he claims my brother agreed over the phone that he would help the man. why would he do that? we both walked out and will NEVER walk back into that store again. they had us wait over 1/2 for manager to speak with us. they also had us picking up the stuff when we wanted it delvered to us. mess up place. Better Business Bureau and Facebook will know more.

took my money, never gave me furniture, and won't refund my money. i have been hung up on countless times. chesapeake location. pack of liars and thieves. I am taking legal action. i WILL get my money back This is NOT myfirst time getting retribution from a crooked company. The ghetto women that work there are so disrespectful and rude. I wish I would have read the reviews before going here. BEWARE!!! DON'T BUY FROM HERE!!" Their customer service personnel are unprofessional, rude and condescending. FYI-don't believe any arrangements made through Ivory. She does not uphold her word. Why is it that everytime you ask to speak with the supervisior or request for the number to corporate they refuse to give you that imformation. Is corporate even aware of the customer service that is being provided to the customers. If anyone reading this post has a number to corporate please share if with me. And I mean a number to corporate not 1 of their offices in town where you have these non customer service skills people answering the phone

They are full of crap. What company sets up a payment plan one day then the next day its null and void, both my accounts have freezes on them, and they basically took all my money I had. Now I have a sick son with no money. Do not get your furniture with them because they are rude as hell and will not work with anyone.

Here I am again Grands had put an lein on my banking account and recieved the money not its 2/06/2012 and they sent a garnishment to my job and recieved more money. I am passed pissed when I get on the phone with these ghetto hood boogers. I dont care where I have to go I want my money back today not next week old crooks. I hate that store.

I agree with many of you the overraul experiance with the poor quality of Grand Furniture, when ask to speak to a supervisor they refuse, the manager of customer service was outrageous! she was rude and threathen me. I don't believe they get a customer service class before working there, seems like a whole lotta hoods and thugs that work there, no proffesional service at all. Please if your reading this and are planning to buy furniture go somewhere else or you will regret it. A very Dissatisfy customer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot believe the Customer Service that was presented to me over the phone. The associate that I was speaking with was very rude and short with her answers. She was not willing to help me out in anything. When I requested to speak with her supervisior she refused to pass me to her supervisior. Had I know that I was going to have to deal with such poor service I would have never signed a contract. Now Im going thru hell trying to find someone in the company to help me and speak with me..Never again...POOR POOR POOR.. This company should be ashamed of themselves

I totally agree with the others Grand Furniture is the worst company to purchase from. I went there looking for a bedroom set and a couch, after looking at the bedroom sets i picked a particular one i started asking the price she said 999 for everything and you get the matrass and accesories free i asked again if everything was included and she assured me it was after signing, paying my deposit and setting up an allotment i waited a week later for delivery i had duty (military) that day so i had my boyfriend check and sign he said they had a delay on 2 items after reaching home and not seeing the two nightstands i figured those were the 2 missing items after going to pick up the items in the store a week later i was handed two lamps (considered one item) and picture frame and a vase for the dresser (number 2 item) i asked what about the nightstand and was showed a price tag attached to it and told i have to buy that seperately after being told it was a "COMBO" trying to return it i was told no return/refund after 72 hours....... NEVER AGAIN as soonas im through paying thats it with them!

I had the same experience. I had a bad experience, they hit my account after I had already paid them. The say you are getting a discount and then they take it back in fees, Grand Furniture is a joke, preying on the elderly, the poor, the people who need help the most and are just tring to come up in life. Grand Furniture will never get my business again. They messed up my bank account with the ACH payment plan. I repeat.....I will NEVER do business with Grand Furniture again. Talmadge Lodge

I have had two accounts with Grand furniture...recently I fell behind on payments and my contract was over I owed Grands 125.00. They have put a lien on my account for $182.00 and saying i owe more. They customer service was POOR and make me want to go to that corporate office and slap one of them ghetto a&* b*&ches. She didnt provide me her name and told me she didnt have to. I am so pissed I will ever in life get anything else from them I HATE THAT STORE!!!

I wish I would have known about this site BEFORE we bought our livingroom set from Grand! I would have changed my mind because 2 of the posts I read are exactly what my husband and I are going through right now! Bought a couch and love seat as well as a coffee table set in February 2011. Couches started breaking down not even 2 months later. Have had the "insurance" people out 3 different times taking pictures and telling us they will see what they can do. Took an act of congress to get a district manager number.....finally did that and got corporate to agree to do an exchange. We exchanged/purchased a different set over a week ago....can't seem to get delivery details worked out so that we get our new set.......finally came to our house today and brought the wrong couch and love seat! So here we are.....4 months from when this all started.....still have no resolution. Now the tables are starting to warp, and we are having to go through the same process. Spent a lot of money to get new furniture that is not worth the paper the contract is written on. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GRAND FURNITURE. IT IS A HEADACHE AND YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!!

Same as above. I've been with Grand since 2008. I've purchased thousands of dollars and have paid faithfully on time until last month. I ran into some financial difficulties fall a month behind and they submit a warrant in debt!?!?! The people in collections/payments department are the RUDEST most HORRIBLE excuses for people on this planet. They have an attitude of entitlement and arrogance and don't even LISTEN to what is being said to them. After I'm finished with my contract, GRAND WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER DIME FROM ME!

My experience with Grand Furniture has been the worst experience that I have ever experienced as a consumer. The employees, Ms. Boggs in particular are rude, unprofessional and extremely sarcastic. I strongly suggest that the staff be trained to teach them how to effectively interact and engage customers in a manner that is cordial, polite and professional and enable them to enhance their communication skills. They actually put a lien on two different accounts at two separate banks because I was behind two months in my payments. When I attempted to make payment arrangements, I was told it was not acceptable. You just can't win with them. I can honestly say I will never, ever purchase anything from Grand Furniture again in my lifetime. I will also discourage anyone who is thinking about purchasing from them.

If the rating box allowed me 0 stars that is what I would give Grand Furniture. Their customer service personnel are unprofessional, rude and condescending. My son purchased furniture from them some time ago. He was laid off from his job and tried to renogotiate his monthly payments until he could get back on his feet. They told him they would not work with him. They would make arrangements that benefit Grand Furniture not him as the consumer. When his payments fell behind they placed a lein against him, freezing his bank accounts so he could not give them their payment. When he called to discuss this the customer service reps would not give him any info on how to resolve this. They wanted all their money up front. Even though he was still under contract for monthly payments. He has been to their store and even tried calling on the phone to no avail. When asked to speak to a supervisor because the rep was being rude and ridiculing him about being out of work she said she was the supervisor. This company should not be allowed to be in business. They swindle people into buying less than quality merchandise at outrageously trumped up prices and then offer no customer service to their clientele. I hope people are actually reading these posts before considering doing business with these crooks. Even the most prestigious credit establishments offer their customers suitable options when trying to resolve a debt. FYI-don't believe any arrangements made through Ivory. Grand furniture is the Worst store I've ever had to do business. The associates are rude and don't have any sympathy or compassion. I've asked to speak to a manager on numerous occasions even left a message and never received a call back. I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone. Then I called the corporate number and the automated system takes you around in circles.

I've been through it all to you guys! The quality of the furniture isn"t the best, its the unprofessionalism of the collections dept! Well this one certain collections rep (as I see was mentioned in another complaint) Tywandria Boggs!!! She is the most worst person I have ever dealt with! How did she complete an interview and get this job?! There should be some type of law on having people like her working. I have worked in collections as well and I didn't take customers past due account history personal. (like she does) Tywandria Boggs has hung up on me several times as well and has addressed every issue with an attitude. It doesn't make a difference if you call and keep abreast of your situation or not, she leaves a salty taste in your mouth! This company would proabaly have more sales if they get rid of her! I give the store 3 stars ,but collections dept gets JACK!!!!!!!! This woman most not be happy with her life! Find another job then!!! She is RUDE!!!
