247 Reviews For Golden Corral Headquarters & Corporate Office

First of all, if I could give you less than one star. I would. I've been going to the same Golden Corral my entire life. And up until this year have never had a problem, maybe it's management maybe it's lazy employees. But for your store to serve raw food is unacceptable. My food was raw, so being the understanding customer than I am, as i've worked in the food industry myself. I just got something else. The chicken was so dry, literally it crumbled to pieces. The potatoes... the only way I can describe them would be crusty. I then asked to see a manager, who seemed really not to give a flying crap about my complaint. I had to demand a refund of my money, If I can't eat the food you serve, then why should I pay? I will NEVER AGAIN eat at Golden Corral, I've written several bad reviews on Yelp, Google, Bing and I will continue to do so. On top of all of this, Whenever i've tried to call corporate to make a complaint. I've been ignored, put on hold, hung up on and yelled at. Your company obviously couldn't give a shit about your customers.

My husband, son, and daughter-in-law dined at the Golden Corral Buffet & Grill #929 in Oklahoma City on 8/27/12 for the last time. My husband and I have dined there numerous times since the restaurant opened and have always been pleased with the staff and especially the food. However, on 8/27/12, we met my son and daughter-in-law there in the early evening. My daughter-in-law had sleeve gastrectomy surgery on September 29, 2011, and has lost 95 pounds since then due to the surgery leaving her stomach with a capacity of less than 3 ounces. She can't even drink anything one hour before or one hour after eating a meal. An average 3-year old can eat more food at one sitting than she can. My daughter-in-law carries a Medical Alert Card for Special Diet Request from her doctor which states that a restaurant is to allow her to order a smaller portion of food or get a child's plate. When my son and daughter-in-law stopped to pay for their food before going to the buffet, the cashier told them she couldn't allow them to have a child's plate because that was against company policy, that they would have to pay the regular adult price for both my son & his wife. My son paid only for his meal, but got an extra plate and silverware for his wife on the buffet line. The lady who attended our table asked her if she had paid for her meal and she said she had not because she was eating food from her husband's plate. She explained why she shouldn't have to pay full price for what little food her stomach could hold. The lady then went to her manager and reported my daughter-in-law and came back and said my daughter-in-law would have to pay. My son told the lady that they were not going to pay. The lady then took the extra plate from my daughter-in-law. We have been in that restaurant numerous times and seen families who were feeding 3-4 kids off their own plates and were never treated like my son and daughter-in-law were treated. We have told many of our friends about this particular restaurant and praised it highly in the past, but that is a thing of the past. We will make sure that our story is told far and wide and we will never be back! My son and his wife patronize the Golden Corral on Air Depot Blvd. in Midwest City, OK on a regular basis and all they have to do is show the Medical Alert Card to the cashier and my daughter-in-law is allowed to just pay for a child's plate. When our country is overrun with morbidly obese people and my daughter-in-law had surgery to correct this situation and is penalized by a "money-hungry" corporation, that says it all. Something is not right about this situation! There has always been exceptions to rules, and it's time for the Golden Corral Corporation to take a good look at how sorry some of their rules are. I might add that not only will Golden Corral never have our business again, we didn't leave a tip for the lady who tended to our table. Shame on her!

We love the staff at our Golden Corral in Dublin Ohio. The general manager, Jim and his staff are GREAT! Each wait staff strives to make your dining experience 5 stars. The Chef and his staff keep the food hot and fresh. It is reassuring to see the management and staff contantly checking the food tempature and quality. Fine deserts top off every dinner. Thank you Golden Corral for Jim, his staff and fine food. Thank you for your awesome outreach to our military families with Camp Corral. You have our support and long term business.

Why are your Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina inspections ratings just average? I am from Alabama and health dept. inspections are taken very seriously. Also, why seniors in NC are denied the "happy hour" prices enjoyed by those in Alabama and Georgia, which includes beverage for around $7.00. It didn't take long for me to figure out why the lines are not out of the door at 1:00 pm. This is the home of the corporate office and I am shocked at the how low inspection scores were in several locations, only one was suitable....North Raleigh. Any score under 96 is probably an indication that things are worst than posted. Thank you in advance for hiring better employees to maintain your business. I used to like Ryan's Family Dining and they too didn't know how to hire good employees.

The golden corral in Winchester Ky, needs some SERIOUS looking into. The manager, hires his family, and does not make THEM, work as hard or hold THEM to the same standards as the other workers. Several of THEM get away without wearing the correct uniform. One had a party there and took the party room on a busy night, and none of the guests of the party ate there at the store. There are so many more complaints, that it would be impossible to list them all. It has gotten so bad that a lot of the customers have noticed the tension between the rest of the workers and the "family". Somebody needs to do something before the store falls apart.

Today is Sunday, August 12, 2012 my husband and I and our twins ate at the Golden Corral in Irving, TX. on South Beltline and notice a roach roaches crawling across the tables. There was a Hispanic couple eating right next to the table and they saw it as well. My husband told the waiter and he acted sort of affair to kill the roach he did see but he did. I think that was the MOST NASTY AND DISGUSTING THINGS to be dining out and roaches crawling across the table. I will never eat at that Golden Corral every again. It made me wonder what the kitchen looked like for this to happen. The table should be wiped off with clean towel with bleach on then. We wasted our $28.00 because of that incident. I could no longer eat. I made me want to vomit. So me and my family left. Please make sure that your facilites are clean and spreaded.

On Sat., Aug. 11, 2012, my family of 19 people came to your restaurant in Opelika, Alabama to celebrate the 89th birthday of one of our family members. Several days prior, a family member called the restaurant to make them aware that a large party of 19 or more people wwere coming at 1:00 p.m. She asked about the room to the left front of the restaurant, and she was told that we could not be promised that room. Upon arriving, we were placed all the way to the right side at the end of the building. However, there seemed to be a problem with the air conditioning in that section, as the temperature showed 80 degrees. In addition, the overhead fan was not working, so no air was moving in that section. It became very hot and humid as the room filled with people. We found that the section in the left front of the building was empty, and it was also very cool in that section. We informed management about the problem with the air conditioning, and we asked to be moved to the other room or even another section of the restaurant. We were informed by management that another party was due to arrive at 3:00 p.m., therefore, we were not moved at all. The room on the left front of the building remained empty the entire time we were there!! Several members of our family drove over 3 hours to be at this birthday celebration, and due to the extreme heat they left early. Many of the same family members come to this restaurant often. Grant you, we should not have special priviliges; however, no one, especially someone celebrating their 89th birthday, should have to endure what she and our family went through on that special day, when there were other places available to sit. Those of us who come more often, will now consider going elsewhere. Your 5 star rating in my opinion has dropped to a 2 star rating, one star for the excellent serviced provided by the lady who waited on us and another star for the food. We endured the heat to be with our family, however, please let this be the last time a party or anyone has to endure such and leave your restaurant unhappy. Thank you!!

I went to the golden corral in new braunfles Tx.. and i was very good all the food was fresh and hot. The staff was frendily.. The food was descent considering it is of course a buffet. For my first experience at golden corral it wast bad at all. My only complainet was that it was a little pricy.. Overall it is worth going back to.

If there was negative stars would have chosen thet. Took my family to the Hermitage,Pa. location for breakfast the sausage links were raw. They pulled them cooked another batch and they were also raw. There was no food on the buffet the eggs were empty,no ham, smoked sausage and the hashbrowns were cold and barely cooked. Will never step foot in this establishment again.

My wife and I left the Golden Corral on Normandy promptly 2 weeks ago due to a dead roach on the table and the server left her pitchers of drink on our table causing a constant disruption. After which we called and kept the receipt for proof. I called today wishing to return and spoke with a manager named Sandra. She quickly explained to me that if my wife did not have the sense to tell them when we were there, that there was nothing she could do. I questioned why they would want someone to discuss a dead roach in front of their guests and told her that we were being polite in calling. Again, there is nothing she can do though we were able to show the receipt and then she hung up in my face. I felt at that time that it was prudent for me to then follow their protocol and drive 30 miles to walk in and discuss it with her. I nicely introduced myself to her and told her that I was there to discuss the dead roach on my table as she requested. The crowd was shocked at her response. Did she ask me to sit? No. I was then asked to leave, to which I responded that I was leaving peacefully and walked toward the exit saying nothing. I was not given that opportunity as an armed guard rushed at me, ushered me to the door and walked me to my car. I then asked are you the police? No response. I then asked as we were walking if he were armed and he said, Yes but I don't need to be. And smiled at me. As we were walking to my car I took a pic of him outside standing in front of my car, and he actually told me that I cannot and tried to take my phone. I explained that there was no expectation of privacy outdoors and that he could not. I never raised my voice or touched anyone. I was intimidated and embarrassed in the community that I live in.

I absolutely love eating here due to the variety...but all the restraunts I've eaten at are do darn dirty! These places need a makeover. The buildings inside look like a time capsule of the 90s!

Hello my name is Mark williams I want to give your company just a little feed back on what happen to me and my family today 7/21/12 5:59pm at store 0853. MY family decided to come to golden corral to celibrate my mothers birthday, The waiter was very nice and on piont we loved her. BUT your trays and silverware is discusting and not just at that location also the on on colraine as well, anyway back to store 0853 you cook is very rude and SEEMS to show a lot of favortism to certain class of people I just say it like that. I waited for about 5 min for a well done steak no big deal until a lady cut in line and less than a min the cook quickly helped her, now there was a line of people waiting. The african amarican cook was very nice to her great but when he turn to me his tone was diffrent and rude. I aske for a well dont teak and he rudely said 10 min I walk away and did not come back. The cook a larg amount of bleeding steak plent but not one done steak. What I did like was your waiter if it was niot for her we would have left but as for the cook he sucks and I dont want to deal with this fool again.

My family and grand children visited the Golden Corral in Palatka, Fl on July 13 about 1:30 for lunch. My first comment would be "where is the health department"? Where are the regional managers or the corporate managers? Upon arrival the salad bar was empty and looked like someone had slopped the hogs. The vegetable bar had mashed potatoes that were brown with a film, the cauliflower was so over cooked it could have been mashed the broccoli was in the same condition. The other vegetables were so over cooked and it was apparent everything was left over for several days. The meats were not any better over cooked with films. The bars were filthy all of them! The floor looked as if it had never been cleaned. I call your attention to the review of 6/6/12 from another customer. It is obvious that management does not care how the restaurant is received. I asked an assistant manager to correct the food quality and bring out new however she stirred it and walked away. This is a disgrace it is like they do not want customers or repeat business. We travel to FLorida several times a year and I can assure you I will never set foot in this place again! This is a national chain and is in decline and it reflects on all the other stores or perhaps that is just the attitude and is acceptable by management. SAVE YOUR MONEY eat a hamburger!

Was in Bloomington Indiana on June 22nd and stopped in at golden corral around 5 pm, after being seated, we went to get a steak and was told it would be 25 minutes cause they were backed up and had people waiting, so we went to get something else till the steaks were ready, and everything was empty, or looked like it had been on out on the bar for hours, so what I did get, after a coulple of bites, I pushed to the side. I then after waiting, went to get a steak, medium well, the steak was burnt to a crisp on the outside and pink on the inside, my husband ordered his medium, and his was burnt on the outside and raw, like bloody cold on the inside, so I asked for a manager and told him I wanted my money back after showing him the steaks, he said he would fix the steaks for us, he brought them back after about another 10 minute wait, and again the steaks were not cooked right. It was evident that they did not want to give our money back, so we left, was out 25.00 and still hungry. I then called in the last 2 weeks to get this resolved, left msgs. and still can't get an answer from anyone. One manager told us he would send us coupons for 2 dinners, it's been 2 weeks and still nothing.

DEAR SIRS: SEVERAL YEARS AGO YOU CLOSED IN TERRE HAUTE IN YOUR "GOLDEN CORRAL" STORE HERE. IT SETS EMPTY. WE MISS IT AND UNTIL YOU CLOSED IT. IT SETS THERE UNUSED. WE LOVED IT. CAN'T YOU FIX IT BACK UP. AND RE-OPEN IT???? THANKS. KEN

The store in charleston sc on center point road, dont go there! the manager is a real piece of work, a Mac something and gm, a Mr. Pace backs him up....they are mean to the employees and sometime to the customers. They work their employees without breaks and use their power to intimidate them!! the manager has a favorite waitress that tattles on the other waitresses! I wonder if her husband knows she is so close to the manager?

This was the worst visit I have ever had to a restaurant ever, to spend $30.04 and have to leave and go eat fast food because the business service was horrible. When being seated no one gave credit to my need to use a walker and set me somewhere impossible to sit at not to mention the small room with 6 small children that kept knocking chairs over (completely) so that our plates ended up on the floor and they refused to sit us elsewhere. HORRIBLE...

My wife and grandchildren traveling back from a Florida vacation stopped at Golden Corral at 2811 Wilma Rudolph in Clarksville, Tenn. This was the worst dining experience we have ever experienced. This place was filthy. Food on the floor, food spilled on the serving lines mixed in with other food. More like a pig trough then a buffet. The smell of urine in the bathrooms was unbelievable. In fact the urinal hadn't been cleaned in so long that urine had crystallized on the urinal pipes. Maybe you should teach people how to clean up a bathroom before they try to run a restaurant. We will not darken Golden Corrals doors again. In any state. You should be ashamed!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I have visited this restaurant several times on many occasions but the Golden Corral in Charlotte NC store #2420 has really got me thinking. We called about a month ago to get information on booking this restaurant for a baby shower, we have been told so many different things about how and what is needed for this reservation. We were originally told that there was no deposit or time limit for reserving their private dining room only to call about and speak to the store’s GM Dale Cox to get a totally different story of; needing a $250 deposit, we can only have the room from 2-4 then we only have 15 minutes to decorate, when mentioning to Dale wow this is totally different than was we were previous told by a female that answered phone, he told us, oh that's why she's not the GM...Wow! This type of customer service and conversation about conducting business is coming from the GM. Okay, so since this location is already on our invitations that have gone out, we can't really change it. So we agreed to go ahead and putt he deposit down to hold the room yes for the 2 hours to hold a baby shower, so Dale told us he would be on vacation until June 22nd but the GM in charge Mr. Davis would be able to assist, we drove 30 minutes out to the store for Mr. Davis to say well I don't have answers to your questions but come tomorrow Dale will be back from vacation, wow really he said he was out until June 22nd and you could assist us with anyway. Okay Mr. Davis proceeded to share that Dale has to cut his vacation short because Golden Corral corporate policy is the GM has to work 1 weekend day even if they are on vacation, so Golden Corral has to fly him back from Disney World to work today(Sunday) then he can fly back and continue his vacation. Okay Mr. Davis, you can't tell me how refunds on the security deposit work, you can't tell me how long we can reserve the private dinning room but you are pretty familiar with how the vacation/days off work. This is has been a nightmare and the worse experience I have every had reserving a venue for an event I'm hosting. I don't have a problem with the deposit but what I do have a problem with is the management at this restaurant and I think is this is a corporate policy that events can only be held for 2 hours they should really rethink this. I understand you can not book a room for an unlimited time, but I do feel 2 hours is not long enough, this to me is for your party to come in eat and talk not host a baby shower. I ask if we could at least have the room from 2-5 but Dale was not flexible at all.

Earlier today (June 16, 2012...FATHER'S DAY) at the Clinton Township Location on Hull Road our entire party of of 16 were humiliated and in my opinion discriminated against! Upon arriving there were 13 present, when the cashier was asked if we could pay for the other 3 on their way she happily replied "Sure" and rang up the bill totalling over $200.00. There seemed to be some confusion or resentment over seating a party so large which was confusing because at the Westland location this has NEVER been an issue! Sunday's and Mother's Day and Father's Day usually draw large parties and with several decades of customer service under my belt, I've never encountered a manager like this one. He appeared peering through the blinds with a smug sort of scowl on his face several times. When one member recieved a call on her cell phone stating they were in the parking lot she got up to meet them at the door and lead them back to where the rest of our party was seated. The manager approached her and rudely asked her to terminate her phone call. She explained what she was doing and he then became profane; drawing others to come and see what the issue was. By this time the others have arrived and this guy was terribly irrate for no apparent reason stating "Pre-Paying" was against the policy. That is understandable; however, that courtesy was in fact extended to us and when we attempted to show the reciept the guy walked away. Several minutes later the police arrived and apologized since they witnessed no unruly behavior but stated that because the manager had asked them to come and escort our party from the premisis we'd have to leave. They apologized profusely and suggested calling the Corporate Office. Which we ALL will do the first thing in the morning. In my opinion this was racial profiling AND discrimination. This incident terminated the attempt to honor and celebrate two great fathers and grandfathers. Everyone drove a distance and it's not as if we are unaccustomed to dining out or don't know how to behave! This man was unprofessional, and from the start he was unnecessarily snappy and rude. Needless to say we will never dine here again!
