Bought a 2007 George SE 34' look like a great unit, until the floor squeaks started. we only had it for two weeks when it started. went back to the dealer they tried to fix it from working underneath didn't work waste of time. went back the second time tried the same thing it was ok for awhile now it's the same way as before. now they are telling me that it was a flaw at the plant and nothing they can do. WOW what a bad deal we got.

Don't walk, RUN from Forest River Campers!

I purchased a new 2012 Cherokee Grey Wolf on Aug 29, 2012 from Paw Paw’s Camper City in Mobile, AL. After months of searching for the perfect camper we were so excited to finally find the camper of our dreams. Unfortunately the camper of our dreams has turned into a nightmare. The very day we brought it home, we opened the slide-out so we could get it packed in preparation of our first camping trip that weekend. While packing the camper, it started raining. To our disappointment and surprise, water started pouring in through the skylight. We immediately called Paw Paw’s Service Department and were told that they wouldn’t be able to get to it until the following week and was asked to wait until then to bring it in. While inspecting the leak, we found that the skylight had never been sealed. The entire glass lifted up. We put tape around the glass to prevent more water from coming in. We realized this was just a temporary fix and since we couldn’t bring the camper back until the following week, we kept our plans for our camping trip that weekend. The tape worked fine until the next rainstorm that came on Sunday, Sept 2nd. Unfortunately, I was sitting directly under the skylight with my four month old baby when the rain began pouring in on top of his head! We returned our camper to Paw Paw’s on Tuesday, Sept 4th. We were told that all the repairs could not be made by the weekend and since we had already planned and paid for two future camping trips (Sept 8th & 9th and Sept 22nd & 23rd), we were allowed to pick up our camper on Sept 6th and were asked to bring it back afterwards. You would think that we would have received our camper back in at least the same condition we’d left it. However this was not the case. There were dirty fingerprints on the shade that pulls over the skylight and dirty fingerprints on the ceiling. There were also black, rubber trimmings left on all of the dinette seat cushions and under the table. When we started vacuuming up the mess that the service department left us, we discovered water stains on the wood and dinette cushions from apparent previous water damage (the camper must have leaked every time it rained while it was on the lot before we purchased it "new"). During our next two camping trips, we found several more items that needed to be repaired or replaced. We gave our list to the Service Department when we returned the camper on Sept 24th. By October 10th, I had called several times in an attempt to find out the status of the camper. After calling our Sales Rep, who sold us the camper, and letting her know how greatly disappointed and frustrated we were with the Service Department, I finally received a call back from the Service Tech with an update. He explained that most items had been repaired but that they had to order new cushions for the dinette area and that they should be in within the next couple of weeks. That, obviously, did not happen. On November 19th, after again not hearing from Paw Paw’s for several more weeks, I attempted to call and find out the status of the repair work to our camper. Nobody could tell us anything other than providing excuses i.e. there had been a turnover in that department and they’ve had several different Service Managers. On that particular day the Service Manager was unavailable as he was in Picayune, MS. On December 3rd, we still had not heard from anyone or received any kind of communication from Paw Paw’s Camper City of the status. I am beyond the point of being upset. I feel that we have been more than patient with Paw Paw’s Camper City and have provided more than ample time for repairs to be made. We have missed out on several camping trips with our friends and the beautiful fall weather has now passed. It is absolutely ridiculous that we bought the camper in August … it is now December and we have only been able to use it three times. All three of which, we had to use tarps and duct tape to ensure more damage was not caused because of the poor craftsman ship of the NEW camper we purchased. We have now requested a FULL REFUND of $25,194.21 and the return of our belongings that are still inside the camper (sheets, dishes, towels, etc.). If a refund is not granted, we will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and an attorney. Not only that, as far as advertisement, word of mouth & Facebook is more advertisement than any billboard or t.v. ad you can pay for. Believe me the remarks I have will not be in your favor.

bought a new 2013 survayor 2220 have had endless problems, the worst is the blackwwater tank won``t drain corectly. I`m sure its a bad design ( I`m an architectural designer and know a lot about plumbing designs). The tank is too shallow and the waste lays at the bottom untill the tank is over 3/4 full, by then its too late and you already have a hudge stinky problem that takes 4-5 dumpings to cure. The dealers just don`t take the time or can`t to come up with a solution. In my openion DONN`T BUY ANY FOREST RIVER PRODUCT.

I purchased a 2012 Sierra andi I would like to order extra dinette cushions to convert it to a couch/daybed. Can you advise me on this? Thank you.

i purchased a 38ft xlr viper 5th wheel toy hauler and have had so many problems and i can not get the warranty dept to return my calls in a timely mannner, all i can say is good luck if you make the mistake and purchase a forest river camper!!!!!!

2004 Sierra TT 33 Foot, The front cap is buckling and pulling away.

We were in the process of purchasing a 2013 5th Wheel. We were very excited since we had our hearts set on what what advertised in their brochure and website. When the 5th wheel arrived at the dealer we were astonished that what we had ordered and what had been delivered where 2 different things. They had taken out 75% of what sold us on that model. We are now fighting with the dealer to get us the trailer we wanted or pay up. We have been trying to communicate with Forest River but it seems that we are dead in the water. I will not recommend to buy a Forest River product.

We bought a 34 1/2 foot Wildcat 5th Wheel by Forest River May 2012. We couldn't be more pleased. It Has the rear entertainment center with electric fireplace and three slide outs. As with any new rv there are always a few things that need to be tweeked and the service department of the dealership in Turlock CA where we purchased it has done an outstanding job in making those minor repairs. We are rving across America and last year drove about 6,000 miles. We are on another trip this year and are at 4,000 miles and counting. The unit pulls easily and is under the 15,300 pulling weight for our truck. The inside storge is amazing...it has more storage that what we actually need and the interior craftmanship is what we would expect for a medium end 5th wheel. Since we do not live in the rv, but only use it intermittantly for about 5 months out of the year, we expect it will serve us well for years to come. We can sleep our family and grandkids with room to spare. Great product Forest River!!

I have a 2004 FOREST RIVER SIERRA 32BHSS. We had our fifth wheel in Wyoming for the summer and noticed the front buckeling and the front pulling away, we have no water damage inside, Wyoming had a drought this summer! I called my insurance company to have an adjuster come out for 4 minutes and tell us it is water damage and it is not covered! I am so angry, we now cannot trade in or sell because of the damage, our camper does not have a hard cap on the front, and after research and happening to park next to the same model in a meijers parking lot, we have noticed that the early model has the same problems as ours, Please if you have the same issue, bubbling and pulling away at the front of your forest river please comment, need as much ammo as i can get to show the insurance company or forest river, was this a recall or problem? thank you angry woman in Michigan

I have a 2008 Forest River Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite. The window frames have yellowed, the microwave vent has yellowed, the outside speaker grills have yellowed and the clips to hold the storage doors open have yellowed ..oh yea, the accessory lite in the front by the hitch has yellowed. This yellowing against a white camper looks BAD. Who can I go to get corrective action. I have pics as well. Lets see how good their customer service is!!

I bought a new Forester from my local dealer and have had nothing but problems with the Radio/Nav system. Forest River has done NOTHING to assist the dealer in fixing the issue. i have lost 4 weekends since they have to work with the Radio/Nav supplier, vice working thru Forest River. I will reoommend that anybody planning on buying a Forest River product, think at least three times prior to investing.

Hide a bed air matress leaks, been working on it for a wk...3 cuts from the factor closing it up wrong. 2010 so of course its out of warrenty...never used it till 2 wks ago, never opened up the couch..what a joke, still has a leak..think ill just go buy a new air matress and throw this one away..and what is up with the cabinets coming open during travel..wow..opened her up to find everything was on the floor..

thought they were good campers glad i checked in

We purchased a 2012 Coachman Freedom Express Travel Trailerthe end of May. It has been problems from the geico. It was in the shop for 3.5 weeks for repair of: THE WATER PUMP, SPEAKER NOT WORKING, DRAWERS THAT OPENED WHEN ONE TRAVELED, AND THE SOFA DRAWER THAT WOULD NOT STAY CLOSED. After we finally got it baack and took and took a short trip we hada tire that almost blew because there seems to be a bent axel. We could have been seriously hurt. We know it is an axel problem because my husband changed the tire to the spare and we could see it also wearing down. Duringt the warranty period it seems it will be in the repair shop more than we can actually use it. Plus now we are concened about how safe it actually is. Very frustrated!!!!!

Trying to get info from corp. hq is like trying to get a gold mine for free.

Bought a 2012 Shockwave Toy hauler in April 2012. Was scheduled to pick up are camper on a Saturday...they didnt even call us to tell us ther was a water leak and it wouldnt be ready...i had to call to ask a question otherwise we would have driven ther and it wouldnt have been ready...poor customer service if you ask me. After we got are camper home the bedroom speakers was not working...called them they said they would call back and send somone out to fix it...we waited a week no response...we finally called them they said they dont make house calls so we need to bring it in...hello a call would have been nice...we make an appt cant even get in in till end of july and its end of June when i called...so we go camping...why we are camping...the outside shower is leaking...the drawers come open during travel...some windows are very hard to open and close..,gap in the back door dust getting in...fuel tank fuel of dust...When we arrive home 2 days later...the fridge has stopped working...lost alot of food....called they said bring it in at the end of july...so we miss a trips...We finally take the camper in on a Monday they say it will be done Thursday...no call on Thursday so i call Friday they say it will be ready the following week....missed another camping trip...pick up the camper..go camping again...bedroom speaker still not working...did get a new fridge...windows still hard to open and close....drawers still opening during travel...this place has very poor customer service...I spent alot of money on this camper to go camping not to have it sitting in my driveway with stuff not working or in the service department. I beleive idaho has a Lemon law and they need to replace my camper or give me my money back...ther customer service sucks and Forest River should be served with a class action law suit. THIS CASE IS NOT CLOSED!!!

I purchased a 2005 Sport Coach in Aug, 2008., used with 12700 miles. I am now having a problem with the inside step cover. While driving on a trip last month, some where in VA., on I-95, the step motor fell out from under the vehicle. I stopped at rest stop later that day and my step cover would not open. I have contacted Coachmen' parts department ( Mr D. Johnson). Mr. Johnson sent me to contact Lippert for the motor. Lippert indicated that the motor Serial # LL004 and Assembly part # 116710 was obsolete with know replacement. i went back to Mr. Johnson and he indicated that I would have go to Forest River Services. Forest River Services (Jason)told me to go back to Mr. Johnson because he was the parts person for Coachmen. Neither, department attemted to locate me replacement. There must be a motor and assembly that will operate my step cover.

I hope this message finds its way to Forest River Corporate head quarters. Two or three months ago I ordered a new 2013 Sierra 5th Wheel with 4 Slides and an outside kitchenette. We received it right before Memorial Weekend and used it right away. I have to say, I have bought new before and I anticipated problems, but boy, does this one have problems. Let me back up a few years. My mom had purchased a 1978 Winnebago Motor home that our family used for many many years. Quality was great, even after 30 years!! We sold it in 2006 to purchase something bigger. What we bought was a brand new Jayco Eagle 5th wheel and it came with a 2 year warranty. Of the 6 years we owned it, we really only had one issue with it and they fixed with no issues. It was the water heater. Again the quality was still good and when we sold it, I was told it still looked like brand new! The reason we sold that and was looking for something different, was because it didn't have any storage underneath. We used it all the time and it got old moving stuff around. We really liked the floor plan of the Sierra or Sandpiper and it had storage we were looking for. We purchased it and used it memorial weekend to find A LOT of issues. I have to say Forest River must not care about the craftsmanship of their products they put out. The interior looks like crap. I took it back to dealer I bought it from and showed them the many many many issues. They said I was not the first to complain about the craftsmanship of their campers. A LOT of exposed bare wood, handles on doors that you could see all the way through. Doors on cabinet the couldn't even close properly, the camper actually damages itself when trailering because doors and drawers don't stay shut. Scratches and deep scraps on the wood. I could go on and on but I won't. I would be very embarrassed putting out a product like that. The coach was in know way cheap!! I would expect more for what I paid for. Actually, I would expect more for a lot less then what I even paid for it! To top all of that off, the dealer didn't know if most of it was covered under the warranty. I said I wasn't going to pay anymore and I would share with everyone that is how Forrest River puts out their products. I am very disappointed in my camper and I wish I would have never bought it! Buyer Beware! Denise
