I bought my first American car in 2007, a Ford Fusion. I was so excited about the whole idea of a nice looking American car like the Fusion. Little did I know that right at 60k miles, the transmission would colapse and it was already out of warranty. No wonder Ford was on the verge of bankruptcy. Now they claim the Fusion will have a better re-sale value than Toyota Camry. Right. I never heard of a Toyota vehicle's transmission pasing out at 60k miles. I had the transmission fixed, I'm still paying for the car, and the transmission is already breaking down. Any suggestions?

I purchased this truck new December 2010. It first problem was that on three separate occasions it stalled and died approaching a red light. I took it in and the tech reprogrammed the engine. I didn't have a problem for a month until today. Todays problem scared the crap put of me. I was cruising down the road at 70 mph when my truck shifted down from 6th gear to 1st. I fish tailed and almost lost it. Thank god no one was behind me or they would have plowed me. I got pulled over and started my engine, everything was fine. I drove for a little while longer and pulled over called roadside assist and had it towed to my local dealership. Anyone else had this problem? Did I purchase a lemon. I was so proud to own my first truck. I purchased a Ford because they are supposed to be safe and dependable. The truck has 9500 miles on it. UPDATE: The dealer Family Ford florence, alabama called me and said they couldnt find anuthing wrong with my truck. I am so frustrated and do not feel safe driving me or others in this vehicle. weir003@gmail.com

I own a 2002 windstar I have many compliants. The 1st compliant is the service light stays on constintly even after I had spent 250.00 on intake gasket set for it and the sliding doors wont lock or unlock with the power locks. But the thing that really made me mad was I took it in to the dealer for 2 different recalls one was for the rearaxle breaking and the other is the sub fram infront breaking. I droped it off at the dealer they kept it all day just to tell me they didn't have the parts to fix it and i would have to bring it back when the parts were availble. I work for a living and got to have the van to take my children to school and other places. This has cost me a hole day of sitting and wiating just to be told that i would have to screw up another whole day or more to get it fixed. After all this agrivation i will never buy anther ford agian i try not to make the same mistake twice.

I have a 2006 Ford Escape. Only 42,000 miles on it. I have a warranty that is good until August/2011 for up to 60,000 miles. The transmission went out and Ford decided not to honor the warranty. See you in court!!

I am contacting Ford already and seem to be getting no where. I don't feel we are the only people on long island or there for around the country that are having problems with our Ford Explorer transmissions. We have an 03 explorer which had the transmission flush they recommended on 2/28/08 then on 3/13/08 our tranny goes and parts are replaced under our extended warranty, which was at 58934 miles. Then on 2/24/11 at 102958 not even 50k miles the same parts need to be replaced. My son has a 98 explorer and on 2/2/11 the same parts needed to be replaced in his tranny. Each time it is over 2000 dollars to fix this. Ford knows there is a problem and so does every dealer and mechanic on this island know there is a problem with 1998-2006 ford explorer transmissions. We want some publicity to be brought to this situation so ford can address these issues and take care of their loyal customers before they aren't loyal anymore. We have contacted every news channel and newspaper here in NY. We want answers and our situation taken care of.

I just watched the Best Ford Commercial Ever about the son returning home from war and his father and the Mustang. This was one of the most moving things I have ever seen concerning soldiers returning from war. As a 2004 Mustang owner I am proud of how Ford has conducted themselves over the past few years. Not taking a government bailout and standing on your own two feet is how companies are supposed to act. I do not know why this commercial has not been shown on TV but I sure wish it was.

I honestly would give NO stars! I bought a windstar a few years back. I had problems since I got it. The 2nd day i had it they wanted to charge me for repair. And I had a warranty! I took it in to get the alarm fixed and when I picked it up, I had a new problem that I didn't have before. And they want to charge me for that now! This isn't the first time this happened. I will never buy from ford again.

Dear Ford motors-------I am a longtime Ford stockholder and having not owned a Ford since 1996 I was ready to buy the really cute little Fiesta on Saturday. I even had the model with extra options picked out. You cannot imagine my dismay when I read the window sheet that said less than 10% of the parts were us made. The car was made in Mexico and the motor and transmission are from Mexico and Brazil!!! If I wanted a foreign car I would buy a KIA but I wont. I saw that the mustang is still made in Michigan---why not all the cars? When I went to the Auto Show the Chevrolet womwan proudly told me that the Cruz is made in Lordstown---I like the Fiesta a lot more than the Cruz, but I dont think I can bring myself to buy it.

I live in Bowling Green Ky. My mother owns a 1999 Ford Windstar Van. She took it into the dealer for the recall on the subfram. They said that it can no be fixed. The van only has about 140,000 miles and runs great. It also has a wheel chair life in the back of the van. My mother is 76 years old and only draws around $700.00 a month she just gets by. They are only offering her $3,729.00 for her van and they refuse to fix it. Just how can she buy another can or van that is is real good condition for that? This recall is not her fault it is Fords fault but she is the one that is having to pay for there mistakes. I am just wandering do they realy care about the people that drive a Ford????? I just wish they would wake up and realize that people out here don't have a lot of money and they need there vans. My mother and father have driven Fords forever and now the Ford company is leting them down...I would realy like to know where I need to go from here.

I would like to know why your company will not look at my design for a electric car that needs no charging.Think about the jobs it will create or have the government got you like the other motor companys and the major oil companys that do not want this design to come to pass. With my design it is unlimited and needs no charging. No one want to hear or see it.Call me at 8634679979 or walter fowler 368 n.e.17 ave okeechobee, florida 34972

I have a 2006 ford explorer and I have had now 2 cracked radiators since I have had the truck once in 2009 and now again in 2011. We need this problem fixed a radiator every two years is crazy

own ford f150 supercrew heard about air bag recall went to dealership and asked about it because air bag light came on a year ago service rep assured me that with the light on airbag would not deploy sure hope he is right also found out there is a problem with sticking fuel injectors after i paid 289.00 6 months ago now there is a secret warranty for them would have been nice to know before spending money by the way mine is a 2005 i dont know is this typycal ford ??????

I work for the University of Alaska Anchorge and have a 2011 F-250 Super Duty 4 X 4 pick-up in our fleet that has 151 miles on it and about $800.00 in towing bills from taking it to Every dealer in the state. Frankly, if I could be sure of getting a replacement truck from the insurance company, I would set fire to it and put it out of its misery. It has persistant electrical problems with its sensors/ECU and will run one day and leave you stranded alongside the road the next. The dealer we bought it from has had it in the shop (so they say) for over six weeks and admits they don't know what's wrong with it. At what point is Ford obligated to admit this vehicle is a lemon and replace it or refund the University's money

This is a complait about a recall on my 2001 Ford Winstar van, that Lebano Ford has had since September of 2010 , this is redicullous for them to have my van for this long and all I get out of them it still might be months to go. They should just give us what we have in the van and let purchase another vehicle. We have 5000, invested in the van , but they just want to give me 2000. you cant buy a descent auto for that. Can some one please help us.

I HAVE A LATE MODEL V-6 MUSTANG.. APPX 3 YEARS OLD. I DRIVE ALOT AND USUALLY DRIVE MY CARS FOR NEARLY 300,000 MILES BEFORE REPLACING ONE. THIS MUSTANG IS BY FAR THE BEST VEHICLE I HAVE EVER OWNED. THE DEALER THAT SERVICES MY CAR IS TOP-RATE. TO DATE I HAVE 106000 MILES ON MY CAR AND STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL BRAKES THAT I LEFT THE DEALER LOT WITH WHEN I TOOK DELIVERY. I SHOULD HAVE STARTED BUYING FORD'S A LONG TIME AGO..

Our 2006 F150 had broken down after 2 hours into our trip to Bass Pro Shops due to a rusted out Fuel Pump module. Well we pulled into a gas station and where we were then stranded early in the day. The gas station called the FORD Dealer at AVON, NY in which they were open till 8PM. When the gas station called them , they told us that they were to busy to help us. My family was stranded in the small town of 3000 people and Ford would not help or even look at there made vehicle. What kind of service is this for Ford, you must ask yourself. Oh take a look under your hood again and see how rusted out your items are (pitted) around your engine. My old dodge pickup doesn't look this bad. Shame on Ford for there cheap products!AND service! Please pass on about there service in Avon, NY and please tell people to stay clear of there piss poor services!

I BOUGHT A 2006 FORD F250 SUPER DUTY BRAND NEW FROM A RI FORD DEALER. THE TRUCK CAME WITH FORDS STANDARD 5 YEAR 60000 MILE POWER TRAIN WARRANTY. LAST MONTH THE TRUCK HAS A SKIP IN THE ENGINE. I BROUGHT IT TO FLOOD FORD IN RI. FLOOD FORD DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO BE TWO FAULTY FUEL INJECTORS. I GAVE THEM THE OK TO REPLACE THE INJECTORS AT A COST OF $200.00. THE NEXT DAY, FLOOD FORD CALLED AND INFORMED ME THE TRUCK NOW NEEDED A CATALYTIC CONVERTER, HOWEVER, IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY,BUT THEY NEEDED TO ORDER IT. TWO DAYS LATER FLOOD FORD CALLS ME TO COME PICK UP TRUCK WITH A BILL DUE OF $1100.00. WHICH WAS FOR 2 INJECTORS,AND 8 SPARK PLUGS AND THE NEW CATALYTIC CONVERTER WHICH WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. WHEN I GOT TO THE DEALERS TO PICK UP MY F250, THE SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE NOW TELLS ME THE ENGINE IS NOW RUNNING A LITTLE ROUGH AND NEEDS MORE DIAGNOSES. A FEW DAYS LATE FLOOD FORD CONTACTS ME AND INFORMS ME A DEFECTIVE BOLT THAT HOLDS ON THE SPROKET WHICH THE TIMMING CHAIN IS ATTACHED TO WAS DEFECTIVE AND SHEARED IN HALF AND CAUSED ENGINE DAMAGE AND THAT THIS HAS BEEN THE PROBLEM ALL ALONG.THE FLOOD FORD REPRESENTATIVE, TOLD ME NOT TO WORRY, BECAUSE THE POWER TRAIN IS COVERED UNDER FORDS 5 YEAR 60,000 MILE POWER TRAIN WARRANTY. I HAD ONLY HAD THE TRUCK 4 YEARS 2 MONTHS AND THE MILLAGE IS ONLY 44,100. WELL,ACCORDING TO FLOOD FORD, FORD KEPT INSTRUCTING THEM DAILY TO DISMANTLE MORE AND MORE OF THE ENGINE AN SEND THEM PHOTOGRAPGH OF IT DISMANTLED. FORDS LAST REQUEST, WAS FOR THE DEALER TO REMOVE THE OIL PAN. TO DO THIS FLOOD FORD REMOVED THE ENTIRE NOSE OF MY TRUCK AND REMOVED THE ENTIRE ENGINE FROM THE TRUCK. LAST WEEK, FORD DECIDES TO SEND THEIR COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE OUT TO VIEW THE DISMANTLED ENGINE.GUESS WHAT? THE FORD REPRESENTATIVE WANTED MY OIL AND FILTER CHANGE RECEIPTS. SO HE COULD DOCUMENT I MAINTAINED THE ENGINE ACCORDING TO THE FORD WARRANTY CRITERIA, WHICH IS EVERY 5,000 MILES OR 5 MONTHS. WITHIN A DAY OR TWO I WAS ABLE TO GET MY RECEIPTS TOGETHER. MY OIL CHANGE RECEIPTS, CLEARLY DOCUMENT THAT I CHANGED THE OIL AND FILTER EVERY 4,1000 OR 3 MONTHS. FORD REJECTED MY CLAIM FOR A NEW ENGINE SAYING LACK OF MAINTENCE. THIS IS TOTAL B.S. I GAVE THEM THE DOCUMENTATION THEY ASKED FOR AND THEY STILL DENIED MY CLAIM. I CONTACTED FORD A NUMBER OF TIMES AND WAS TOLD,SORRY ONCE A DECISION IS MADE THERE IS NO CHANGING IT AND.THERE IS NO REPRESENTATVE TO SPEAK TO AND ALL YOU GET IS A CALL CENTER IN CENTRAL FLORIDA. MY TRUCK IS MINUS AN ENGINE, WHICH IS IN A THOUSAND PIECES AND MINUS A NOSE AND NEITHER FORD MOTOR COMPANY OR FLOOD FORD WANT TO REPAIR IT UNDER WARRANTY. REMEMBER, I DROVE THIS TRUCK TO FLOOD FORD WITH A SLIGHT SKIP, NOW FLOOD FORD TELLS ME THAT EVEN IF THEY PUT THE TRUCK TOGETHER IT WILL NO RUN BECAUSE WHEN THEY DISMANTLED THE ENGINE SOME OF THE PARTS BROKE. I AM IN THE PROCESS HAVING AN ATTORNEY BRING LITIGATION AGAINST BOTH FLOOD FORD AND FORD MOTOR COMPANY. KEEP IN MIND I HAVE PRCHASED 23 NEW FORD VEHICALS SINCE 1993. ALL I CAN SAY IS, DO NOT BUY A FORD PRODUCT.
