Very Bad customer service! I'm a manager for a restaurant and I own hair a hair shop and we always purchase balloons their for the shop and I never had a problem until I meet(Karen). The Dollar Tree in Winston Salem on Hanes Mill store 212. But I never experience what I did on Thus May 24, 2011 at 8:40 p.m. Employee standing outside smoking with friends or family and two children (cursing). I thought I could ask her a question about just getting helium in the balloons that I purchase two days ago. She jump to conclusion and thought I wanted something for free, started talking to me in a very bad tone. So I asked her was the manager in she said I am the manager (Karen). So as I was walking to the car I heard her say (BLACK PEOPLE) Karen, I said what did you say. She approached me like she waned to fight me (Remind you children are standing their). So I went to the car to get my credit card and returned to the store. She tried to repair the damage but it was a little to late to try to be nice to me. Someone should teach her how to be professional when dealing with the public. I want purchase anything at that store again.

horrible policy about exchange that needs to be on the receipt and aware to customeres before they purchase items Horrible Horrible service and it has been reported to the better business bureau. The rating should be negative zero.

Actually it would be a rating of a negative unlimited stars dollar tree has the worst customer service ever especially with the management down here on 62 ave south saint petersburg florida 33705 Debra the manager treats her employees like crap and waits until thye long lines are almost gone before she opens another register and then by the time she starts ringing people up the line is gone so whats the use! but as I read from all the complaints in your reviews I know that Iam just another statisic that does not matter but some how or another this will get addressed even if it means going to the media and let them place it all ove the news then I bet youll do something about the crappy people you hire! your application should have a qualifacation check list you must be RUDE, AN ASS, A BITCH, HEARTLESS, COLDHEARTED, UNCAREING, SELFISH, NASTY,HATEFULL,AND TRUELY HATE CUSTOMERS TO GET HIRED HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT WAY YOU HAVE LESS TURN OVER HIREING THE NICE ONES BECAUSE THEY DONT LAST LONG AT ALL USEALLY THEY QUIT DUE TO BEING HUMILIATED BY THE MANAGERS

The store is always a mess on 5/8/2011 I enter the store with my grandson slip and felled on and item in the floor. One customer was nice enough to help me up. I address the issue to the sales associate:Keith at the time and spoke with him showed him where exactly I felled. He also mention that the Item should have not been in the floor. That is considered neglience by Law. I was in formed to call to speak with the store manager Finlin. Store 709. 3857 West Broward Blvd. Fort.Lauderdale,Fl.33312.Called and spoke with him he very rude basically rush my concerns didn"t ask were I okay. I related to him I need and incident report. He replied that they do not give incidents reports. I need to go have myself check out for the pain that I'm expierencing and where"s the car that comes with and fall in their store due to there fault.I will take this matter to and higher source. since the store manager has and very rude attitude and very cockey concerns.

I went to the Dollar Tree located in Bradenton, FL. on Cortez Rd. & 75th St, Shopping Center where Bonefish & McDoalds is located. They close at 9pm, I walked in the doors at 8:54pm according to my verizon cell phone, which is absolutely correct time. Angie told me they were closed, even though the door was open, and she stated that their clock says its 9pm and they are closed. So I asked her if I could please just get a bottle of peroxide for my baby's ear infection. She said again, "No we are closed." I grabbed my cell phone and said maam please its only 8:54pm & my son's ear hurts. She said again, "Our clocks say it is 9pm & we are closed." I asked her to show me her clock, she said no & that I had to leave. I told her I am not leaving until it's 9pm and she went to the phone to act like she was calling the police for me to leave. I looked at the receipt of the lady who had just purchased a few items and what do you know, her reciept said 8:53pm. Angie was so rude that I will never go to that, or any Dollar Tree ever again as long as she works for them. I will be following up with phone calls to her corporate office and manager above her. Also, I went into the same store earlier today, because I am a regular there, I live a block away. I asked a different associate where the $1 solar lanterns were, he told me he didn't know and that was it. So I asked Angie (I didnt know her name until tonight)and she told me they were out of them, because she was too lazy to look, they did have them, they just didn't want to help me find them, so I found them myself and let it go, I don't like to complain. However, when Angie did what she did tonight I will not let that go, and will seek all remedies possible. She messed with the wrong mom this time!

Just bought a item tonight from the dollar store and it has metal inside the food. I called the store and the manager gave me the run around (not too concerned) and 5 bad phone numbers. I tried to call the company at it's emergency line at 757-321-5001 but nobody was there. I will report the product and the this company to the FDA in the morning.

Today, I visited a local Dollar Store. On the wall was numerous flags that had been turned into banners by insertinga dowel in the left hem and attaching a ribbon. When hung, this places the STARS AND BLUE SECTION in the WRONG PLACE for display. Protocol states that the STARS AND BLUE SECTION are always to be in the upper LEFT HAND CORNER WHEN DISPLAYED, EITHER HORIZONTALLY OR VERTICALLY. This was brought to the corporate office last year when you made the same mistake. I was told then they would be pulled from the stores. I learned from the manager today that they were initially pulled last year but returned to the rack for sale. Evidentally, whoever is instructing the Chinese to manufacture these does not know their flag etiquette. It is an insult and slap in the face to see these improperly made banners on sale at this time. It would be appreciated if they were pulled off the market. Those who approved the manufacturing of the flag in this manner needs to do their research and see what is proper rather than making themselves look like complete idiots because they know nothing about the displaying of the flag of the country they live in.

On April 10, 2011 I was shopping at the Dollar Tree 2396 N. Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As the cashier "Alisha" was ringing up my merchandise, i asked her if she had already rung up a particular item, she was very rude and did not answer me. When she gave me my total I said that was too much and she took everything (5 items) out of the bad and was rudely telling me what everything cost, when I looked at the receipt, she indeed rang up the same item that i asked about twice. She then said "you asked me if I rang it twice"....I said exactly and you did. I was thrown when she said you don't haven to get rude with me. We went back and forth and when she started loudly cursing at me I grabbed my stuff and asked someone else to ring my merchandise. The other store employee (who identified himself as manager when I asked for one) kept asking her to be quiet. She was still cursing in front of other customers and said she didn't care if I made a complaint. When I say I will never shop in that store again, I mean it...nor will my family or friends. Cursing, really. Screaming at me like she wanted to fight me, really.

I worked for the dollar store in wenatchee, washington. I quit because of lack of hours and ended up getting a new job. Prior to leaving the job i put in my two weeks notice and was immediately told that the store no longer needed my services. A year later i tried to apply for the same job but as a second extra income job and i found out i was black listed from the company. I seeked out info on this and found out that no reason was given. I was put up on the non hirable list for no reason what so ever. I just most recently got hired at another dollar store in the spokane valley but was immediately disqualified because of my non hirability. Im still trying to clear my name. the management in wenatchee state they dont have my file and that it got sent out with a bunch of other files. I asked where they went to and i was told it was classified. thats my personal employment document how is that classified. I think i deserve an answer. Clear me please!!!!

The dollar tree on West Parmer Lane in Austin, Texas has the rudest managers and unethical, and non-customer friendly. The store is a mess where they don't put up merchandise as it arrives. The main store manager Veronica Oyervides should be fired for treating employees in very discriminatory ways. That stores has way too much employee turnover.

I,witnest a manager at a dollar tree store totaly humiliate this poor casher. She had called for help and this woman acted as if she was bothering her .This was a grown woman and was supose to be a profestional and she kept rolling her eyes up and around ,as if to say this person is so stupid and is so anoying. This was in a store in union n.j.I felt so imbarest for this poor woman .And you could very well tell this was aregular acurance.I left there so discusted. And this is the best they do ,in the way of aprofetional.I"never go back.A customer that will not return.

Worst store ever to shop at with very poor customer service. Trinidad and Mary are the worst in management. Bad experienced...I'll never shop at a Dollar Tree store again.

Usually, the stores I frequent have friendly helpful employees, which is nice. However, I tried to get an answer on an item - glass airtight jars - needing to know the lead content, as in California items must be marked lead-free or lead-content item ... no lead identification was on the jars, or in the store on shelves. The store managers and employees at several California stores that I called could not answer this important question: Does this item contain lead? The item is made in China. Dollar Tree Website does not list product information for the public with this needed information. I could not get a live person after several calls to Dollar Tree Headquarters. I was on hold, then sent to voice mails each time I telephoned back ....awaiting return calls and email replies... requesting a 24hr reply. It would be important for the stores and employees in California to know and post (as I understand is required by California law) whether an item contains lead. Thank you.

i visited your store in largo florida, it was extremly busy and the cashiers needed help so i saw one call for help to open a register and the manager patrick opened a register up, butttttttttt he was so rude to the customers and complaining as he was bagging there items, this was not the first time i saw him like that. i visit your establishment often and i love your products but the new manager is not very professional at all. i hear many customers complain about him. i don't know how he can be a manager if he does not have customer service experience. he is down right rude to the customers and even to his employee's. the previous manager pete was a very pleasant manager, very personal with customers and alway's was willing to jump in and help with the employee's if they were backed up. you really need to send someone from your office to act like there shopping or even apply for work there and see how this man is. not good for business. we are a small community and the employee's and customers know each other well. this manager has a real problem with people. no people skills at all. go there and you will see. i have talked with some of my other friends about him, they feel the same way. thanks for letting me tell you about my many recent shopping trips to the largo florida store, it really does need a new manager that can atleast talk to the public nicely also his employee's. thank you.

I have tried to shop at store #1961 several times. No matter what time of day, the store floor is filthy, items linger on the floor, and it is a mess. I will not ever return to that store.

I used to work for dollar tree and I must say, hearing some of you say that this is the worst store ever is obsurred! There are thousands of stores all across the US alone. Lynn Mcpherson - I know several stores that don't accept 100 dollar bills. Im sorry that the ONE store near you has "suspect" employees, but that one store does not represent dollar tree as a whole. also it is a dollar store not a bank! it is policy that big bills cant be broken unless there is enough cash to feel safe in doing so w/o risking the possibility of not having change for others. Why are you so self centered? Susie- it says right on the recipt that there are no returns....you can do exchanges. its pretty self explanitory...and the staff smoke right by the front door in case they are needed, they are not too far away...makes sense dont you think??? Ashley Hill- you are entitled to have your items exchanged regardless of what the manager says. Its right on your recipt. If you still have it, show it to the manager and your problem is solved. Also the CORPORATE PHONE NUMBER IS (757)321-5000.....

I shopped at your Tempe store #2814 today and was helped by a wonderful lady, Miss Lisa. She helped me find everything I need in the store, even things I didn't need that she sold me. She is a very good sales rep. I will always come to that store for her smiling face. What a pleasure it was. Thank you for providing such wonderful sales staff.
