i called the dicks sporting goods store from my home dickson tennessee and asked about a product. i was told that there were plenty of these in the store. when i got there i was told there was none and that it was a mistake made by the person on the phone. I asked about a certain item and was assured that there were plenty of these in the store. when i asked was told the sales person i talked to said he was sorry and that was it i was told i could talk to the manager who was the bald headed man checking out people at the cash registers with about 10 people backed up and the boy i was talking to walked off i am not going to this store again and will complain again

Golf Equipment. The quality and selection of your golf equipment is very poor. I went into your store at Jasper Georiga to hit demo-drivers. You did not have any demo drivers to hit, none. Why might I purchase a $300 top of the line driver withour trying one or being fitted for the proper club? Also, you have only one line of wedges to select from. You did not have Ping or Titleist nor even Wilson clubs. Most of your clubs were off-brand cheep junk. I will not try to shop your store anymore. I live in Murphy North Carolina a 95 mile one way trip.

I am trying to get a hold of someone to hold the rude employees at the Mooresville NC location accountable. I am very frustrated that, unfortunately, it is the only convenient sporting goods store. If there was another option I would definitely be there. I have yet to go to your store and walk out satisfied. I am usually approached by the rude blonde that just stands there looking miserable and is never any help. Today I was greeted by a dark haired lady that was absolutley miserable. She was of no help at all and when I asked her a question about a product she pointed to an area and stated "over there, if you dont see them that means we are sold out" Of course I went over and they have been sold out of this product for a month. When I asked the manager why they cannot get anymore, he stated "if you ever want anything pink and football related you need to shop at the beginning of September" seriously???? So then he spent an hour calling around stores that showed they had my item in stock only to call them and find out that they were sold out as well. The manager then told me that the item that I was interested in was not available online, so therefore I was out of luck. My husband and I and our three children unfortunately shop at the Mooresville store quite often (as you can see by our score card) yet we never get any help when it comes to coupons. We spend a lot of money at your store and everytime we ask to borrow a coupon or to look up our account to see how often we shop there and to see what we are available for we are told sorry there is nothing we can do for you. Your employees are beyond rude. Your store had 6 employess this afternoon up front and when my friend and I went to the customer service counter we stood there for a good 5 minutes with not one person asking if they could help us. So then I finally had to flag someone down and ask "can I please get some help" Like I have previously stated I have NEVER left your store satisfied. P.s the last three times we went to the shoe section to get my son new soccer cleats the employee in that department had no clue what they were doing and as always they never have our popular size. All Im asking is that you take notice of popular items and maybe order more appropriately. Your sales could definitely increase. Not that you care, but you should! Sincerely, Jaime Frederick

Went to dicks in longmont Colorado just now. 6:50 pm Saturday oct 13 2012. Stood in the shoe department for 15 min. Yelling for help to buy camp boots. Gave up finally. Went to walk out and three employees were all in the front of the store huddled talking. When we told them we could not get help in the shoes the man laughed as he watched us walk out the door.

I just got off the phone with Amy in customer service and she was great. She was able to dig up a receipt for a treadmill from back in 2005 so that I could validate my proof of purchase related to my warranty. Alot of the reviews above are bad so I wanted to at least say that I had a good experience with customer service at the corporate headquarters. Thank you Amy.

I made the mistake in going to the Fish Department to look for a "Fish or Depth" Finder for my husband for his birthday at the Plainfield, Indiana store. First I could not find anyone to help me, so I ventured over to the gun section. There were two store associates there, and only one with a customer. When I finally did get their attention, they said they would send someone right over. Ten minutes later, I go looking again, and the one associate finally decides he will help me. He showed me the Fish finders, and I found one on the display showing for $100.00. I questioned the associate and he confirmed the price of $100.00. I went downstairs to check out, and the price came up at $219.00. I declined the purchase stating that I was told a different price, the associate was called and basically lied stating that he had not told me that price. I politely said no to the purchase, but stopped on the way out to complain about service in the Fishing Department. I was told it was two days before hunting season, and that they were overwhelmed with gun customers. Not my problem. I will never shop here again and will pass this on to all my friends and family. I guess if I was a gun toting man, they might have been more willing to help me.

The Richfield store is the WORST they have little staff to help and one of the managers names Chad is the worst with his attitude. I will never shop here again I will be going to sports authority from now on! They should close all dicks down they have no good reviews what so ever.

Dick's has poor customer service maybe the worse. I go there every year when the football season starts up again to buy clothing and anything else the boy might need. I wasn't asked the first time I went in last week if I needed any help and I needed help but no one was around in any departments by the football stuff. I had nothing but nice friendly help in the past that's why I kept coming back year after year. Oh that day I spent $116.00 and change and I come back to exchange the size of my don's football pants and buy something else. Let your cashiers know too that when a customer says I hope it fits they don't say that's why you bring your child with- REMEMBER I'M THE CUSTOMER! I can exchange for a different size so the rude comment wasn't needed. So when I came back a day later to exchange the football pants I had wanted to buy the under armour 6 pocket men's girdle white color size medium. I asked the guy checking out for help right away cause they never ask me if I want any help and you never find anybody. They gave a woman that didn't know anything about football at all. I usually get somebody familiar with the sport football and the products not this time. I told her I was looking for a football girdle and I even had the description of the girdle and the item number. She was going to the woman department for a girdle I said this is for a boy its for football- she said oh. Then she went for youth and I said no it is a adult girdle. Of course they didn't have it but had other ones she tried to get me to buy. She didn't even know what they were for cause she said they look the same. Maybe but the one I looked up and my son wanted gave more protection and had great reviews from other costumes. So since the store didn't have one she said I could order it online through the store and get it by next week when I needed it by. Oh just one major problem without a credit card your store wouldn't order my son's girdle for me. Wow, I had cash to pay for the $29.99 girdle but I guess Dick's doesn't want my money! Money is money and I was turned away because I have no cash on my card but I had money to pay for the product. I guess that's how Dick's runs things doesn't want customers business since you turned me away. I can go into other department stores and they will order me something that I need or want to buy from their website and will take cash. I walked out with out being a satisfied customer because I wasn't able to purchase what I needed. I needed a Orange under armour too but you have red, blue, yellow, green, black and white but no Orange only online. You know what there is other sports stores out there that would be glad to have my money and my business. I might treated better and I would have what I needed too. I am spreading the word that your business ( Dick's) refused my as a customer and wouldn't take my money cause I didn't have a credit card. Everybody says what business is that and I say Dick's Sporting Goods. Also telling people you don't want business even with money. I thought money was money but I guess I was wrong. Went to Dick's in Buffalo to buy some ammunition on the long weekend as Buffalo Gun Centre was closed. Asked by a teen-aged clerk at check-out if I was a U.S. citizen, I said,"No, but I am in possession of a valid United states hunting license." After checking with her manager, she refused to process the sale. I asked her if he manager knew U.S. law which clearly excepts legal aliens who are in possession of a U.S. hunting license for firearms and ammunition. She didn't know! As a Canadian who regularly shops in the Buffalo area, hunt and travel in the U.S, frequently, I was embarrassed and a little angry. I would think that given to-day's economy my legal, law-abiding business would be welcome here as it has been in every other store I have purchased firearms or ammunition from over the last twenty years. I will be sure that non of my hunting and shooting buddies give Dick's the business they deserve! NONE!!!!

Dicks sporting goods sells inferior products and without original receipt, refuses to provide decent customer service. I have a cornhole set that is unusable. Smells of PVC, legs won't hold boards up, and the bag is so flimsy it is coming apart at the seams on all sides. I called my local store explained all of this and they told me to bring it in and they could do an exchange. I took it in and they offered me a $10 credit. Not what I was told on the phone by a manager. I called corporate and was told that without a receipt, they would not do anything. When I asked them why they sell an inferior product then won't stand behind it, the manager hung up on me. I will NEVER spend my money at Dicks and I advise all to shop elsewhere!!!

Don't special order in the store. I has special order a month ago for canoe and paid cash. Believe me, i still don't know when i can get my canoe. I contacted with the store man many times. They always say they don't know and Feeling is so bad. They also say i can cancel anytime and get money back. That is waste my time and money. I just want to know the exactly ship day. I would never buy any thing from Dick's and tell to anybody my experience. 

To Whom it May Concern, On August 17, 2012 I contacted Customer Service via the web contact page regarding the 15lb Resistance Tube I purchased from Dick's store in Millbury, MA. Earlier, that same day, the Resistance Tube broke in mid workout during a triceps extension. The cheaply manufactured plastic fastener that holds the tube to the handle broke during normal, recommended use sending the tube shooting rapidly against my back, resulting in a welt on my back and possibly a pulled muscle/sprain. Instantly recognizing the danger (Had I been doing a chest press, I could have knocked an eye out!) I did the responsible thing and attempted to contact Dick's to inform them of this danger before someone else gets more seriously injured. I was dissapointed at how difficult is is to get through to Dick's as the web contact sheet is the only method and unfortunately, even after calling today, it did not result in speaking with anyone that seemed concerned about the dangers to customers that this product comes with. After calling today to speak to someone, I was told I have to await a call from Dick's "Risk" team and I was not allowed a direct number to call to speak to anyone. I decided the best I could do is at least write an honest review of the occurrence, complete with detailed photos of the inferior product and the injury it caused me. Much to my greater disappointment, it turns out Dick's carefully edits all products reviews to be sure that only "positive" experiences (or perhaps those written by Dick's themselves) gets published. So, it appears that not only does Dick's sell highly dangerous products and have inferior customer service - but they also take an additional step toward placing customers in harms way, by carefully editing out honest negative reviews/warnings posted in their product review section on the Dick's website. Dick's also removes all negative PR from their social media pages WITHOUT addressing the issues! I have documented proof. I am very disappointing in Dick's and will be sharing this experience with my friends and family and at the gym where I sometimes train.

I'm not sure what is going on, but Dicks does not carry womens' fitness walking athletic shoes anymore. At the store I was told I could use running shoes instead. Really? Hmmm! THat's not what I've been told. The foot motion of walking is very different from running. The store is LOADED with mens' footwear but very little in the womens' dept. Same thing for clothing- very little real womens' clothing- unless you are a size 2!! I guess I'm just not "athletic" enough for Dick's and they don't want my money... Guess what- they won't be getting the money I would have spent on shoes for my sons, either.

Dicks firearm policy is the worst. If you are delayed on a nics check they will not allow a transfer unless a proceed comes back from the fbi. Federal law allows the transfer to take place after 3 days. Dicks policy does not allow this and they will not allow the purchase to take place from another person in the household. We have enough government restrictions now we have companies who feel they need to go above and beyond what is already in place. I will not shop at dicks again support your local gun shop where you are treated as a person and not a number.

so got the cleats in my hand at Dicks , CANT SELL DISPLAY , STUPID IDEA< retail store that cant sell what is wrong with this idea? an i get that there not in your inventory, but they are in your store,someone needs to look up an say DUH we just lost 130.00 sale sorry but this has left a bad taste with me an will never go back in this store again , YOU blew it DICK !! hope the big boys at corp. are enjoying there time on the market, policys like this will run you out of busness fast , good bye DICK , pleanty of other sporting goods stores out there that WILL take care of the customer, !

URG!!!! I'm so frustrated and tired of people not doing their job!! I was charged twice for the same purchase on Saturday 8/4/2012. We were told by the sales assoc. and later by one of the Mgrs. that our account was not charged the first time, however, when I pulled my account up online I discovered that we were charged twice. The Mgr assured me that the first charge would clear off my account by the following business day (Monday). The charge did not clear off the following business day. When I called back on Tuesday to let them know the Mgr told me to wait one more day and if it hadn't cleared from my account that he would take care it. I called back today, Wednesday morning, to let him know that it had not clear from my account. He is not there. He's not scheduled to work until this afternoon. The Mgr on duty this morning told me that I needed to wait until he came in at 1:30. I told her that I didn't think I should have to wait, that I needed this taken care of now. I've had an additional $250.00 charged against my checking account since Sat. I'm waiting on her to call me back. I'm still waiting!

The single worst customer service I have ever run into. Went to buy golf clubs. Tried to use a gift card to purchase. The manager said the system was down and there was nothing he could do. I left the store, then came back the following day. I received the same response. No sorry for your trouble, nothing, just walked away.I made a 100 mile round trip to this store, twice for these clubs and still didn't get them. I will never use this sub par company again. My suggestion to everyone out there is to AVOID Dicks Sporting Goods by all means. The single worst sporting goods store in the U.S.

Ordered by phone from Dicks. 2 hours later I called back to change the size once I found the sizing chart for UA. Was told that I could not change the order, even though it takes 1-2 business days to fill the order, and I had informed the sales rep of my waist size when I ordered. Also was told that I could not cancel the order. Dicks need to work on customer satisfaction. Edward Stack, CEO of Dicks, needs to address such issues or another USA company will be losing business. They lost mine for a $20 purchase.

Have had several bad experiences at the Dicks in Biloxi, Ms. Terrible customer service on more than one occasion. Several times I have picked up items on "sale" racks only for them to ring up full price at register. Each time the cashier did not want to give me the sale price. Just bought a golf net for my two sons. Got it home and it it broken and obviously used. I live 2 hours away so a return will not be easy. Will NOT be shopping at Dicks anymore. They just don't care about the customer.

I would like to say that the staff at Dicks in Rockaway NJ were very nice and I am pretty sure embarrassed that they had NO Team USA or Olympic wear 8 days before the London Olympics! I seriously thought there would be a whole display dedicated to our amazing athletes!! I am totally disappointed in the stores for not embracing this wonderful time for our country and our athletes...I feel like we are way too focused on the overpaid professionals these days.
