lost a long-term business customer

I not only have an office full of Dell's for my employees, we are a manufacturer that actually currently ships a Dell with every one of our industrial automation installations. Business support was fine (and unneeded). I never bought through Dell home though, until now. Never will touch any Dell product again if we can ever help it, personally or as a company. Defective unit I can understand. Being stuck with it for almost 90 days with no resolution, hours of being lied to on the phone, shuffled around, disconnected, more lies, and a refusal to honor the warranty, solve the problem, or refund money at all. This just went to a simple CC chargeback and a letter from our attorneys. Its the only way to handle these crooks apparently.

HORRIFIC SERVICE!!!

After approximately 1 hour on the telephone with 6 different representatives transferring me from one agent to the other and having to repeat my name, my service number, my address and telephone number, it gets really exhausting. And no one can help me troubleshoot my printer. I have purchased 2 desk top computers and printers and a laptop for my daughter. I will never buy another computer from Dell again. To buy a computer you get someone quickly, efficiently and ready to do anything for the sale. But I feel what comes after is more important "CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER THE PURCHASE. And DELL sucks. Maybe I will give APPLE a try.

Frustrated AND unhappy

Wow! I see that I am one of many dissatisfied customers lately...that is a shame since I have been using Dell products for many years. I have not been able to use my computer in way over a month...problem after problem....reloaded software several times....have talked with many, many people...I might add...none American, of course...and none that knew what they were doing :( They even had me send my computer to Texas to be repaired...however, apparently they didn't look up my records in Texas or they would have seen that my hard drive had already been emptied several times and there was NOthing left to save....so when it came back.....worse than when it left....I have warranty and would like to have someone that knows what they are doing to fix my computer....is really to much to ask???

Dell Has Gone to the You Know What

What customer service? India customer support was courteous however lied continuously, if not answered without checking a correct resource. Philippines was a bit better a supervisor tried to help me ....I cannot give any stars ... just a big goose egg. I was extremely disappointed with dell. I may never come back to dell. This is a sad day for another American company ... straying away to the boonies …

I have been a Dell customer for years. I have always felt 70% of the sale is the Service behind it. I bought an XPS 18 which is a totally neat tablet. Well, it stopped working. When trying to get it fixed I cannot get a United States Dell rep to call me. Dell has moved its company to India and all calls are routed there. I purchased next day onsite service. The computer stopped working Tuesday night and I called for support Wednesday morning. As of yet, nothing has happened and the reps in India say they cannot get a rep from the US to call me. I didn't realize this when I bought the computer as I will not give any financial information to anyone outside the US. I guess this is the last computer I buy from Dell. This is the worst experience I have had when buying a computer.

GREAT

Called the international number for a hardware problem. Got right through, discussed and diagnosed the problem and will have a tech phone me to come out _I have 2 day on site service. Total time- about 20 minutes and satisfaction very high.

No Customer Service

I have had no problems until I needed help from Customer Service after I bought my last computer. I had to call India to get them to download my operating system. After 3 weeks, I still do not have the software I need. I am going to take the whole system back to my retailer and ask for my money back. I will never buy another Dell product again and highly recommend that you do not either.

Terrible service

I recently tried to buy a desktop system on the phone from Dell. The experience was frustrating. Numerous sales reps, failure to return calls in a timely manner, change in price and delivery info from rep to rep, and inflexibility in meeting my delivery requirements. I have bought Dell systems two, maybe three, times before, and each time the procedure was smooth and satisfying. Not so this time. I believe part of the difficulty is the outsourcing that has occurred since my last purchase. I like Dell products. However, this time I bought an HP system at a local retailer because I don't want to work harder to buy a Dell than the employees are to sell one.

Bought three new computer and two were not able to be used. One worked only after additional hardware was added and hours of lost work on the phone. The second STILL does not work! I have logged over 70 hours with Dell techs trying to fix the problems and nothing works. They keep trying to say that it is a problem with software that I installed and that is NOT the problem considering that exact software works in several other computers within my company. I have tried multiple times to get them to just send me a new computer and take this defected one back and they refuse! NEVER BUY FROM DELL!!! Also, it would be quite helpful to speak with a representative in the US that is in the same time zone and does not have a strong foreign accent.

When you buy a Dell product, they DO NOT have to comply with 3 day rescission law. I had for one day, work with technical for 5 days, no luck, I wanted my money back and Dell said NO.

dell computers

what am i to think of Dell when you have to have your computer worked on and fixed with new hard drive, mother board and cooling system. This is the 3rd time i have had the hard drive replaced in this sytem, i ask for a new computer but got an asnwer of no!!. What what should Dell's rating be? -1

maintenance

i called dell because my dell desktop computer wasn't working properply.the dvd drive wasn't working at all. they looked at it and said i had a virus an that i would never be able to use the dvd drive anymore, but for a mere $260.00 i could get the virus taken off. i discontinued the call to get a second oppinion. i contacted somone i knew and they fixed the dvd drive in less than five minutes, he also said i did not have a virus on my computer. i dont know what kind of shadey buisness dell is doing but i suguest you look into it. sincerly max rash.

YOU FAILED. I ordered a PC 6/5/2013 with two day delivery it came damaged, sent it back called dell about problem and requested a new PC it came almost 30 days later. this after about 10 calls to your service numbers. i paid for two day delivery they offered me a $25. gift certificate which can only be spent on a dell purchase?? Now they sent me my warranty with expiration date of 06/05/2014. My PC has an order date of 6/20/2013 and was not shipped out till 7/1/2013 this makes my warranty only 11 months. they tell me this is because the original invoice date was 6/5/13 i asked that the warranty be base on the PC i received in early July. NEVER AGAIN WITH DELL THIS IS MY 4th AND LAST DELL.

Spare yourself the agony

Wanted to replace old Dell with new desktop. Had purchased Dell many yrs back & was pleased with system so decided to replace with new Dell. Called 800-289-3355....An absolute nightmare...I simply wished to make a purchase....no one understood. Put on hold for eternity...transfered to wrong dept...agent hung up when i expressed my frustration. Called again, pleaded for someone to help me with purchase. Transfered again...OMG wrong department. Advised to call back by agent who was annoyed that I kept asking her to repeat what she was saying. Finally ended all calls...resorted to having a glass of wine to calm my nerves & made a decision NEVER, EVER to purchase a Dell product.

Terrible Company

Dell is the worst company I have ever tried to do business with. I will never contact them again I was looking to purchase a Dell laptop. I was on the phone for 20 minutes and was transferred from one person to another. I never did get any questions answered about the product I was looking for. Every time I was connected to another person they asked the same repetitive questions about my name my address and so on. the chatline had a twenty-five minute wait. Awful company.

I bought a Dell Laptop. After six months I had a problem with the hard drive. I sent it it through mail to get it repaired two months ago. They told me that it was fixed and I would receive it in 2-3 days on two separate occasions. I just got off the phone with them and they told me they had no idea when I would get it back. Two different customer service representatives hung up on me when I wanted to file a formal complaint. Dell does not have customer service. It does not exist. I will never buy a Dell product again.

Service / Tech support

I have a Dell computer that technical support has been trying to resolve a problem since December 2012 and it is June 2013 still unsolved. Dell has sent the following wrong parts hard drive, updated ram and sold us their recommended system mechanics program at a cost of over $250 dollars. Multiple technical support with wrong drivers installed and problem is worse. Dell is now saying to bad your lose. Dell is not willing to resolve the losses. Dell's rating is well deserved. I would not recommend purchasing a computer from Dell. Their system and service is not dependable.

Dell has problems!

I have been a long time Dell customer, but the service I've received lately has changed my mind. One of my Dell computers began to have problems with the touch pad, so I contacted Dell support via the chat screen. The agent opened a web browser and began to download software from CNET without my permission and then rebooted the machine, which disconnected the chat session. He never called me back. After waiting a bit, I called technical support, and that became a nightmare. I was transferred to India. I was put on hold, disconnected, and forced to deal with people that didn't know anything! I couldn't believe that Dell support had sunk so low! After my experience today I will never purchase another Dell computer.
