Oh my gosh Davids Bridal is amazing! I feel sorry for you girls that had a bad experience at those other stores. The Seattle store is way better, the people that work there are so nice. As soon as I walked in the store there was a nice young lady greating me and she called up a cunsultant to help me look for a special occasion dress. She was so helpful. She asked me what I was looking for, what styles i like and then she grabed me a few dresses and also recommened shoes to wear with it.

Britney Martin Four years ago I would have given this company five stars and now I wouldn't give them half a star. I am divorced and four years ago Davids' Bridal was great, I don't what happened. My husband left 2 years ago and I am getting remarried. I found the dress of my dreams here when I looked for my first wedding, so I thought that would happen again and I was very wrong. When I went to shop a few months ago I thought I would be able to find a great dress in my budget and I was wrong. I went for the ninentynine dollar sale and I hardly found any dresses at all. I had a budget of 350.00, but I knew from experience that I would spend about 200.00 on the slip and alterations. I way only 102 pounds and I am only five feet tall. I picked one of the two 99 dollar dresses close two my size and it was a 2. I thought it would be to big because I wear a 0 or 1 at the most, but it was actually a little tight. The girls who helped me try it on told me it was a little tight but I didn't know how tight it was so I bought it and the bra they brought me to try on with the dress, without knowing the price of the bra I was astonished to see that the bra that won't even stay on my boobs now because it is mishapen and flimsy is non-returnable and was 84.50. I was never told it was non-returnable. Then when I got my dress back from alterations and brought it home it had been stained, sequins were missing, and strings were hanging out of it. That's not the worst part though I weighed 104 when I bought the dress that the consultants who helped me try it on said was only a little tight, I weighed 102 when I picked it up and it wouldn't even zip. I was so humiliated when I tried to put it on for my fiance he couldn't even get it to zip. When I brought it back to the store the alterations lady realized that the dress was to small and let it out for free but I heard her and the other alterations lady starting to gossip about me apparently the other lady didn't know I was in the fitting room until she asked and by then I had already heard her. They didn't get the stains out or fix the sequins all they did was cut off a few strings and tell me I was lucky to have such a great dress, and that other girls weren't careful when they tried on the dresses so it was probably already messed up when I bought it. It wasn't because I looked all over the dress before I bought it. So either alterations messed it up or they let other customers try it on after I bought it. I have no more money for another dress and after this one was let out, stained, and messed up I hate it. I wonder how the women who did this to me would feel if this happened to them.

If your surf the net; you find nothing but negative write ups, bad customer service complaints from every state. HOW CAN A CORP survive, when they treat their employees so bad; the employees are a root of the company, and the employee treats the public so bad. To top it off, they all dont care. Write a complaint, send an email, call the office, they DONT CARE> yet they are still in business, laughing all the way to the bank. Hmmmmmmmm, because girls still walk through the door, and take it; and pay for it... they pay to be treat badly. IF they were Boycotted, picked, and put in court- they would change. But the old saying, put up or shut up is here... not one makes them Accountable... I just am asking why not

I purchased a ball gown in the davids bridal in savannah ga....I put it on layaway for a week and then when back and fully purchased it!.....when I took it to my grandmother to alterate she notcied my slip on my dress was sewed inside out...she went ahead a began to just put a stitch in the bottom of the dress...and then stopped from there...I called davids bridal explaining to them and they said they can not fix the problem even though they sold me the dress all messed up...it is very discouraging to pay a large amount of money and now the dress is ruined!....I will never ever shop at davids bridal in savannah ga again and I will highly recommend no one else goes there...and I will be reporting this to the bbb...because they are ripping people off....

Last week, I went David's Bridal located in New York City, to look at dresses for flower girls. I went to ask the manager Carrie a simple question, to which she responded very rudely. Lest to say, they lost a customer. I will be contacting the headquarters about this!

To begin, I had called a head of time to schedule an appointment to purchase a dress off of the $99.00 dress sale rack. I made my appointment at the Charlotte location in North Carolina. My appointment was schedule for a week before hand, and was set for Sunday, November 7th, 2010 at 2pm. I live in Lincolnton, NC (which is about an hour and a half drive from the store)we left early to find the store since we had never been there (they moved locations) and didnt want to be late for my appointment. My mother, sister(maid of honor), future mother-in-law and myself arrived at 1:30pm. We entered the store and we stood for 5mins before we were even seen. The lady took down my information, and was very rude and snoody. She made a comment about how we were way early, I thought we would be making great time. So she informed me that a lady named Ms. Karen would assist me when my appointment time came about, until then we could look on the rack and choose of our likings. Okay so were are following her back to the dress section of the $99.00 sale and Im thinking okay we are going to have a wide variety of dresses. May I add that last year my sister got her dress from there and she was telling me that when she went to purchase hers they had more of my size than hers but had a very big variety. Also note that this is the first weekend of the sale. To my suprise, the sizes ranged from 2-16. And there were less than 15 dresses on the rack. So we waited and waited. And my mother in law walked off with my sister and they were talking about how things were playing out about the situation, and all of a sudden the lady who is supose to be helping me find a dress comes up to them and ask if they needed any thing. My sister then explained the situation, that the sale rack didnt have any of my sizes and she also told her what the rack looked like a year ago when she purchased hers. The lady then told her that they do not choose dresses of a bigger size because they sell enough of them because they are at high demand and that it would be stupid to put them on sale because they get more money for saling them at full price because of the "high demand". Okay, I dont understand why you would run so many ads about this sale and I come in to find.....hardly any dresses must less my size. I find that its descrimating that they only select the smaller dresses for the sale. Why dont the ads say that? On another note she made a very degrading gesture to my sister about my size. After my sister told her about what the rack looked like the previous year. She then looked at my sister and nodded and opened her eyes wide, and said "Your size? Her size?" and threw out her hands at my sisters waist line. I find that her comment was very discrimanating and disrepectful and RUDE! Her name was Karen, at the Charlotte location. I have warned everyone on the internet and social sites that if they were a plus size lady, DO NOT SHOP AT DAVIDS BRIDAL. That is the last thing a Bride wants to hear is some one critize her about her size while shopping for her the most memorable piece of clothing that she will ever own. I will not shop at Davids Bridal and I have full warned any one else. My sister was completly taken back at the incompetent, and rude, and disrespectful employees of David Bridal. My advice to you is that be careful of whom you hire because people like this ruin you business. You may keep your appointments and your dresses and workers with bad customer service for i will be working with a private owned small business and I may pay more money but I would rather pay for good business than to deal with people of such judgemental character.

How can soo many people be disgusted with a corporation, and the corporation does not even know. All these comments should be posted on Facebook to help others stay clear of these stores. They are unprofessional, incompetent, and most of all from what I have read alot just plain out RUDE. We are warning people not to go there and have to go through the hell we did. Can you tell me where we can get these posted to Facebook?

I visited your David's Bridal in Gainesville, FL at the end of May to order a dress for our 40 th Anniversary. I had a great experience with the sales person who took care of me. My daughter is a manager for another company was with me so she is great with conveying my style to the sales person. We picked out the dress, much more than I intended to spend, but it is beautiful. The dress arrived ahead of schedule, made my Alterations appointment and Charlotte was great, had the necessary alterations made. My daughter picked the dress up for me, it was not steamed correctly, she had them re-steam the dress. It was perfect and made our Vow renewal less stressful. I looked great. The girls in Gainesville also told me how I could get more use out of the dress by buying different color jackets or sashes. I have a wedding to attend in New York in September 2010, so I visited the Morrow, Ga store. What a mistake, sales girl was not very helpful, told me it was too late to order a jacket in the color or size I was looking for, NEVER volunteered to call another location, so I walked out with a sash and wrap that were not quite what I wanted. This store was 48 miles from my home. Knowing that I was going to be in Orlando, Florida, I took the sash with me for a chance that I might get a jacket. I visited the Millennia Store in Orlando, FL and was greeted by a lovely "sales person." She asked how she could help me and I told her my story. She was knowledgeable, professional and EXTREMELY helpful. Within 15 minutes we had a sale wrapped up in the colors that made me happy and she had even told me that she found two stores in GA that had the truffle color jacket in my size. Her name is Susan Damitio......the Store Manager. I had no appointments in any of the three stores I visited. I totally recommend the Gainesville store, they are great. I absolutely recommend The Millenia Store in Orlando Florida. Visit Susan, she is fantastic. But, I would stay away from the Morrow, GA store until they train their staff to give more customer service. My dress was $349.00 plus #138.00 for alterations. I think your alteration prices are very high, but, I am not a first time bride and just wanted to party, eat and breathe in my dress.

I purchased my gown and a cloak from your Harrisburg, Pa. store. After getting home and looking at my receipt I realized the cashier had charged me the full price for the cloak when it was supposed to be on sale for $89.99. After a long and lengthy conversation with the manager, they reimbursed me for the difference. Today 8/28/10 I took my gown for my first fitting, with 3 of my bridesmaids who were going to order their dresses. First of all your people put me in a room to be fitted, and then walked away leaving me there to do everything by myself. The woman came back and saw I didn't have the dress on. She said I have to put it on myself. Luckly, my Maid of Honor came in to help me. Now here was screw up #2 for this store. Although the dress I put on today was the same style dress, it was not the one I tried on back in February of this year. I was told in Feb. that I had to take one of the dresses off the rack, since they couldn't order it for me. I put the dress on layaway, and paid it off in the required amount of time. Today at my first fitting, I put on the dress they sent me home with and it was about 4 sizes to small, maybe more. Now granted, I did put on about 5 to 10 pounds, since I bought the dress, but when I bought it fit me perfectly. The dress I bought was a 16 womans. The dress I was sent home with was a 16 regular. How can they possibly make all these mistakes??? Granted, they did make it right by ordering me the right size, but the dress is not going to be in until November 20th. This date is exactly 2 weeks before my wedding date. Not to mention, I thought I could not order the dress in the first place. But your people were able to order it for me today. (Hmmmm) I bought my dress early, so I wouldn't have to worry about running around like a nut prior to my wedding day. Thanks to your stores incompitence, I will be doing it anyway. Now, may I say you have some very rude people working in this store. Not only did your people keep leaving me on my own to deal with my gown, they also left my brides maids on their own. The woman that was to do my alterations, kept leaving me, and when I asked a simple question on the alterations to the bottom of the dress, she said don't worry and walked away. I bought the dress due to the look and detail of the dress. I was worried that the detail would be lost at the bottom. Twice your consultant just walked away from me. All I wanted was an explanation of how the would alter the dress without loosing the detail. The woman that was to help my girls, never did help them at all!!! My girls waited and waited for the girl to help them. Finally, they went to the racks and pulled their own dresses, went into the dressing rooms, and tried on the dresses themselves. Luckly they were able to find the sizes they needed. Needless to say, my maid of honor got a little upset about the treatment we were receiving, and she and the manager of the store had some words. They actually had the nerve to say we were just causing a scene in order to get a discount. This comment was rude and not appreciated at all!! We came to this store because your prices were much better for my dress and my bridesmaids dresses, then anyone else in our area. And I thank you for that. But, your consultants need a lesson in customer satisfaction!! I will never deal with your stores again. If I ever need to buy a dress for a special occasion, I will go to the smaller more expensive shop. At least they were not rude to me or accused me of causing a scene for a discount. They were also much, much more helpful. And, I wouldn't have to pay for my alterations. They were included in the price of the dress. Small shops have way better service then you bigger ones. Nor will I ever recommed your stores to anyone.

I purchased a wedding gown and all the accessories that go with the gown, and jewelry to match, for my daughter about 2 months ago. The only one of that particular dress was hanging on the mannequin. They tried that one on her. She decided that was the dress. I paid for it all, almost $1300 with my debit card. Only after the transaction was complete did they inform me that all sales were final. AFTER. The dress had to be ordered since they didn't have any other than the soiled one on the mannequin. It won't be in until September. We don't even have the dress yet, and they can't issue me a refund on my debit card? The wedding may not even take place, and I'm stuck with over $1200 of wedding things, with the dress still to come. All I have to say is, I will NEVER do business with this store again.
