My wife and I eat at the I35 store in ft worth texas quite often. We like to eat a breakfast of multigrain pancakes and was shocked to find that they did not have any. They ran out! The cooks did not know how to scramble eggs. They were hard and slightly burned. I realize it was 3.00 pm, but would think the cooks could scramble eggs! The service is great and the staff are great. Just need to get more multigrain pancakes in house. And might need to teach the afternoon cooks how to create a breakfast meal. Will eat there again Im sure. Ken Mitchell Fort Worth Tx

I was in the Wilmington, NC cracker barrel last night. There was some kind of argument going on between a customer and a manager. The manager did not know it, but I was close enough to hear him say FUCK and other words to the customer. The customer got angry and the manager got angry. He was yelling, We don't need your business". I guess you don't need mine either! I would be afraid to bring a problem to the manager.

Management at the Wilmington, NC Cracker Barrel could learn a lesson about customer appreciation! I don't know what it was about, but someone (customer) at the Wilmington, NC Cracker Barrel last night was treated very poorly. Haven't your managers been told not to argue with the customer? It doesn't matter who was right and who was wrong, the manager must keep a cool head.

Management needed at most Cracker Barrels!!! With so many people looking for jobs, why does Cracker Barrel choose from the bottom of the barrel. Literally! Wilmington, NC management is down right nasty!! I've read some of the reviews listed and many speak of poor management and poor service, not to mention the food is not the quality it once was. WAKE UP CORPORATE! People are spending money more frugally, and how they are treated is just as important as the CHEAP food they are paying for. In fact, I think we can put up with the food as long as courtesy is extended. "One customer well taken care of, could be more valuable than $10,000. worth of advertising. Jim Rohn

I would give CB a 5 star rating accept I the milk is a rip off.  We love going as a family and the staff are most always pleasant and helpful.  However, no matter how clean the facility, how caring the servers, or how nostalgic the experience, I cannot justify paying $8.00 in milk for a 6 and 2 year old.  The milks are little milk carton school sized milks and kids go through them rather quickly and are left still thirsty.  The cost is $1.89 per container.  I think there needs to be a better, more cost  friendly way to quench my children's thirst in a healthy way without the lofty expense.

I am amazed with all of the discrimination that this company is know for - why anyone would visit them. We all need to join together and stop eating at Cracker Barrel Think about what they serve.... Grease and other things that are very bad for your body. Eat smart - Don't eat at Cracker Barrel

My husband and I went to Cracker Barrel in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, on July 28, 2011, to celebrate our thirty-sixth wedding anniversary. The server, Terri, was quite good with her service. I had finished about half of my salad when our entrees were served. As Terri was serving our entrees, off to my left a young man was bussing a table. As he walked past me, I think he must have tripped, and a glass of cola was spilled across my shoulder and into my lap. In no time Terri, the manager Nina Barnes, and another woman whose name I don't know were at the table helping me to get cleaned up. They even brought me a fresh salad, as some of the cola had spilled into it. Nina insisted on taking my name and address, and told me that if I could not get my clothes clean that Cracker Barrel would pay for the dry cleaning. I had mentioned (sort of under my breath) that it would be nice to have a free meal after this ordeal. It was either Terri or Nina who said that both of our meals would be given to us gratis, and not to forget to order dessert; that if we couldn't eat dessert just then, then we were to take it along home with us. During all of this we mentioned to Nina, Terri, and the other lady there that we were celebrating our thirthy-sixth wedding anniversary. The next week in the mail we received a lovely anniversary card from Nina and Cracker Barrel. Nina even remembered that it was our thirty-sixth anniversary and mentioned it in the card. But not only did she send us an anniversary card, she included a certificate for two more free meals! Wow! Talk about great customer service. We are impressed. Now this whole episode could have ended with my husband and me making a huge scene at the restaurant, but what would that have proved? We understand that accidents happen. After all, it isn't like the young man deliberately threw cola on me! And he did apologize. We Told Terri to tell him that we were not upset with him. So, all of this just to say that Cracker Barrel in Carlisle gets two thumbs up from my husband and me for the great customer service. We will definately be going back again. This was customer service at its finest! The crew there that night should get an extra special something in their paycheck!

Gentlemen/ladies, Our daughter gave us a $25.00 gift card for your Cracker Barrel restaurant. The location is in Commerce, Ga. I am a yankee, I eat whatever is put in front of me with little complaints. However, my wife was born at the old mill in the Lula, Ga. area. She was raised on home cooking, biscuits, gravy, meat etc. She was very disappointed with the biscuits, they must have come from the grocery store, they certainly were not homemade! The gravy had little taste and she don't know what the potatoes were, some kind of hash browns only they were like a casserole with something else added. She complained that, "they just don't know how to scramble an egg." Her ham was tasty what little there was of it. You don't realize who eats at your restaurants, we are country people, you can fool the city folks once in a while but the word will get out. Breakfast was not good. Please don't think our service was hampered by the meal, the waitress was very attentive and professional in every manner and we will try to make our next meal later in the day, when your daughter, or son gives us another gift card. I had pancakes and the total bill took, with tip, the entire amount.

I LOVE CRACKER BARREL. THAT IS WHY I WOULD LIKE ONE ON THE "OTHER SIDE OF THE RIVER" IN THE HIXSON AREA. I HEARD THAT THERE WAS GOING TO BE ONE, AND THEN-NOTHING. CAN YOU TELL ME IF THIS IS A POSSIBILITY FOR THE FUTURE. THANKS.

Hello All, I understand why the food is no longer at the level it should be. Cracker Barrel is being run down by the same 'leadership' team that ran Metromedia out of business (for the most part). They demoted the exceptional VP of Purchasing, who eventually quit. He was integral in making sure CB purchased the best quality products. The company is being run by by a chairman, that loves the women and doesn't care about the overall business. They really need new and younder blood in that company that has more foresight. Believe me they are no longer the best in the business in my opinion.

I dined at a location in SC near my home and greatly looked forward to it. The food was mediocre at best with the potato casserole fit for the hogs. Value for my dollar: -5. Will I return? No.

Sunday July 24th 2011 was the first time I have had the chance to dine at Cracker Barrel in Mesa Arizona. Things started out well and my wife and I were seated promptly in a quiet location that suited us. We were approached by a waitress by the name of Marva T. Emp# 1297049. She was trying to be what I thought overly friendly but as it turned out she was very inept and may have been under the influence. She would not make eye contact with me as she handed the menu’s to us.(which is fine with me) but what was odd was that she wanted to stay and chat with us with languorous meaningless conversation. She took our order then I was amazed that she brought a tray within a five minutes to our table. She proceeded to place the food in front of us and I noticed I had sides that were not mine but what my wife had order. Marva apologized and went to retrieve another plate when my wife discovered she had something she did not order. When Marva returned we told her that we had the wrong dinners. Then she picked up two of the plates and went to the kitchen. Just then a waiter comes to us with a tray that had our orders on it. I explained that Marva had made a mistake and he then rudely asked if I had eaten some of the dinner that Marva had taken back. When Marva returned she was apologetic. But then she said “well with all that has gone on I think I should know you people and should just sit with you and visit” Believe me it was the last thing my wife and I wanted was to have this inept rambling waitress sit with us. We finished our dinner and Marva brought our check, she asked us if we wanted a refill of ice tea.. It would have been nice to have had it with our meal when we finally got what we ordered. I was going to complain to the manager but when I went to the register he was busy bawling out the girl at the register. This was my first and my last time I will set foot in this establishment. I have had the worst experience at Cracker Barrell in Batesville, Mississipi. My God, the restaurant is losing money, big time. Customers are complaining and leaving. Meals that are being prepared will not have customers to pay for them, because they have left. The manager is clueless. He receives complaints like he is being told that it is a pleasant day. My family eats at Cracker Barrell a lot, but this experience will leave me questioning the corporate leadership as to why that would have a manager in place who cannot perform.

My Grandmother travelled quite extensively over the years and quite often carried my cousins and I on business trips. We ate almost everyday and some days multiple times are Cracker Barrell all over the South. She and my grandfather carried the entire family on vacation once and sometimes twice a year on vacation. We always ate at least twice a day at Cracker Barrell It was one of the highlights of our vacation. We have never been disappointed with Cracker Barrell and never had a bad experience. We love Cracker Barrell

On July 1-2011 Athens Al, Me & my wife eat at cracker barrel every friday night. for some time I have noticed most employes were new almost ever week. on this day we ordered our food, I asked that my eggs be prepared scrampled very, very soft, when my food arrived my eggs were very hard, I asked for soft eggs again, when the the eggs came the second time they were fine. our check stated $15.31, when I went to payed Cracker Barrel, they wanted to charge me $25,31 for the meal, said it was becaus I Sent some of my food back. I will not be eating Cracker Barrel any more.

I have been shopping at the Cracker Barrel for years. I used to buy most of my granddaughters clothes there. I went in the Cracker Barrel, in Athens, Tn on June 24, 2011 and after making my purchase. That is the last I saw of my debit card, had not been anywhere else. When I told them I didn't get my card back they said they hadn't found it, that I must have dropped it in the parking lot. Why, would I have it out in the parking lot,I was paying inside. I immediately cancelled my card. I returned there on June 28, 2011 and was told they hadn't seen my card. I made a purchase of $33.48, and because I didn't have my card, I had to write a check. They ran my check through a company called certigy. What a joke. It is artificial intelligence. Not even a human, imagine that. They denied my check. I called the bank and the bank verified it as a good check, to management, but they still wouldn't accept it. When I called certigy, the automated system said my check was refused, but not to try to speak to anyone because they couldn't tell me any more than what the automated system said. When I finally did get to speak to someone from certigy they ask for my birthday and drivers liscense number. I thought they were going to straighten it up. She came back oh, I know you have never had a negative credit report, this is just precautionary. Why did she ask for my personal info for. I have already read on the topix site about certigy how someone at certigy sold, their info to someone else and created identity theft for them. Now I am worried. I encourage everyone to NOT SHOP AT CRACKER BARREL. THEY DO NOT CARE IF THEY HAVE YOUR BUSINESS OR NOT. IF A MANAGER CANNOT ACCEPT YOUR CHECK WITH THE BANK ON THE PHONE VERIFYING FUNDS, BECAUSE CERTIGY SAID NOT TO. THE WOMAN FROM CERTIGY ALSO TOLD ME THE REASON THEY DENIED ME IS BECAUSE I HAD NEVER WRITTEN A CHECK AT CRACKER BARREL BEFORE. I would not have needed to in the first place, if they hadn't kept my card. I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE WHO WANT TO BE TREATED WITH RESPECT AND NOT BE EMBARRASSED IN FRONT OF A WHOLE CROWD OF PEOPLE TO NEVER EVEN ENTER CRACKER BARRELS DOOR. As of June 24, 2011, I will never, ever shop at Cracker Barrel again. They are plenty of websites that you can go to, where they care about your business. I encourage everyone to also write a letter to Corporate, because unless you do, the people that can actually change this will probably never know about how you or I were treated.

you have a hostess at your sunbury store in ohio named sherrie. she is rude and unfriendly and treats her fellow employees like dirt. I have seen at times her telling other employees its her way or no way even though her policies are not cracker barrel policies. I strongly suggest that someone has a talk with her today because you are on the verge of losing some of the most dedicated and loyal employees you have at that store, one who has worked at your company for 14 years in 3 different states. She is definately bringing down the quality of your customer service there and if you lose these other employees it will get worse. I am in that store once or twice a week but will mo longer even go there if I know she is working. thank you sicerely Douglas FReeman

As a former worker at a Cracker Barrel, I'll say nationwide it's one of the best places to eat when traveling. But as for working there when I started there in 2001, the working environment was like family, as the years progressed and the "old Guard" at home office retired, over 3 years it became i nightmare to deal with working there. As i said before I would recommend eating there, but never work for them, it's dog eat dog and they no longer have any respect or consideration for their workers.

All Cracker Barrels are coporate owned. There are no franchised units.
