| I was employed with CitiFinancial for about 2 years....and it was the most miserable time of my career. I enjoy people and the oppurtunity to help them. When I applied for the job, I was under the understanding, I would make lending decisions. I felt this was a great way to help better lives and earn a decent living. Shortly into my employment, the company transitioned, and made us a collection center. We were told how worthless our borrowers were for not paying us, and our jobs threatened reguarly for poor collections. Some of my coworkers could treat borrowers like dirt, saying comments to them such as, when is the last time you ate out? Or, instead of being home now, why aren't you working, why not get a second..a third job. I spent month after month not sleeping, pacing the floors worried borrowers in my collection list would end up in court, missing a day from work that would put them further behind; or losing their vehicle, which would inhibit them from going to work at all---or worse, losing their home. I agree, we were told we were there to help. But, we were never put in the position to actually do so. We were yelled at, treated less than senior manangement, and disrespected as employees regularly. Of course, there are some employees who I considered tools. They would grin and agree with whatever jargon was given to us to help conceal what douches the company consists of. They are legal loan sharks and that is why as soon as I found another position, I took it. I am making substantially less money, but I can sleep at night and actually find myself smiling while working again, and that is truly priceless. Do not borrow from One Main Financial either, they are Citifinancial rebranded. | |

| Just read the comment from a supposed Citi employee who, of course, rated Citi Financial with 5 starts. First of all, I find it hard to believe that this person is an employee since her grammar and sentence structure skills leave a lot to be desired. That being said, this person claims to work for Citi and, of course, it is the borrowers' fault that they receive harrassing phone calls bordering on a crime. This company charges an outrageous percentage fee. Granted, people do borrow, but when people are desperate for money for their car, bills, or medical expensives, they sometimes have no choice. Times are difficult in this economy, with high unemployment, gas prices, grocery prices, and cost of living rising daily. That is still no reason to be harrassed with daily phone calls that come twice every hour, and voice messages threatening to go to the magistrate who will come to your home and "tag all your pocessions". I understand the employees are given a percentage of what is collected so I guess they feel they can collect by any means. The fact of the matter is that my experience has not been a good one and I can tell you that what this so called 'employee' said about 'helping' you is not correct. | |

Try more like making numerous phone calls everyday even after, message, after message has been left at your office. Sometimes people have to work the same hours your office is open. If I am out and you cant get a hold of me but I have called to give you information and had to leave a message at your office then sometimes that has to do. Calling everyday for a month straight and then arguing on the phone when arrangements have been made is not what I would call helping. Not to mention the fact that your company tried to take money out on my account on days before the due date of my payment and wondered why the money was not there. This happened 3 months in a row, something to do with the long weekends. Now if I could make my payments via computer, but since your company seems to enjoy calling and calling my home phone instead of making it easy for me to make my payments, there would be no issue. Since I work out of town and start before the post office is open and finish after it closes and cant get a money order at the drop of a hat. So this seems to make you think you have the right to harass me. Thanks again for the help as you call it. By the way I was told that the payments would be easy to make via computer when I signed up for this loan and yes I did explain I worked out of town and it would be next to impossible to get a hold of me when I am on the road. Once again I was assured this would not be an issue. I do believe that yourself righteous attitude is one of the problems with this company. ITS NOT YOUR MONEY. So give it up, do the work to make life better not worse. You sure made it easy for me to sign up for the loan, selling all the bells and whistles adding on insurance and other coverage barely checking references and excepting printed on a home computer pay stub. I have been working for Citi Financial for over 8 years, I am a person just like everyone else I have bills and a faamily also. I aslo strugale with my bills. But to blame us employees for the choices you made is not taking responsibility. I have encounter customer that refuse to pay, and when I give them the option to use the insurance they purchase the refuse to return the paper work so payments can be paid. I have offered customer adjustments to reduce their payments, they have turned around and stated that there is nothing in the world I can do to help, and at this point they haven given me the chance to help. All you customer act as if we have done all the wrong. But go back and you at your loans, have you helped with reducing your payment?, or have you got a deferment because at the time you called for it. We are the bad guy only when you as a customer have exhasted all the options we can offer. Once we have nothing but to collect, thats when you turn around and blame us. I am sure that people that took money from the equaty from their homes, you should not have used your house like a credit card. I can see people might have emergencies. They never came and got the vehicle after the bankruptcy was discharged and the vehicle is junked. They stated I have to pay them to get the lien out of my name...WHAT a CROCK!!! That's why I filed bankruptcy to not give them crooks another dime. And people have told me that is not right because that's the purpose of bankruptcy. | I am reading all these letters and so many of them sound like me! First of all, you are right, the interest rate is SHAMEFUL. It's like taking money from a loan shark because that is how you're treated when you are late. We live paycheck to paycheck of my husband's, I'm trying to start a new business in the worst economy, and I have a family of four to feed, cloth, and take care of, not to mention mortgage, utilities, and so on. I have called their office to let them know when I would make a payment EVERY SINGLE TIME, but if I am late the harrassing phone calls start even though I TOLD them when I would pay. Even after I call them and tell them honestly when I can make the payment, THEY STILL CALL EVERY HOUR! I have asked them repeatedly NOT to call my husband's work and lo and behold, they call him and act like they don't understand why I'm upset that they have done that even though I have asked them not to. When they leave me messages they act as if we have a personal relationship and they are angry with me. They say their name, phone number, (no message) and then slam the phone down. How is this professional?? They also play 'good cop' 'bad cop'. One treat you like dirt and then another calls and acts really nice and tries to calm you down like they are on your side. | I borrowed a small amount of money from Citifinancial in Peace River, Alberta so that I could finish some landscaping. The loan is one year old now. A few months ago, the payment did not get pulled from my bank. They told me they "missed" the payment cycle and that I would have to mail in a cheque or come into the office to make payment as they could not attempt to withdraw it again. I explained that I work the same hours they do and that I am not available to go to the bank or to their office (one hour away from my home), which is why I was set up on automatic withdrawal. After them calling and hounding me several times a day, I finally had my daughter roll all of my change in the exact amount of the missing payment, and I mailed it to them. They signed for it at the time of pickup. They phoned a few days later and said that they cannot accept my money and that they were sending it back. They then sent it via bus to a town 45 minutes away which is where it still sits. This month, they are hounding me daily (sometimes hourly) because AGAIN they missed their payment cycle with the bank due to the long weekend and "forgot" to withdraw my payment out of my bank account. The money is still sitting in my account. I am afraid to send them anything via mail as they will not acknowledge it, or refuse it altogether, and they are very rude and condescending. They act like I am a criminal who is trying to rip them off, when really this is their mistake in the first place. I phoned to ask for a payout amount and the amount is $1000 more than the original loan....even after a year of payments. I will NEVER deal with these glorified office mafia people again!!! The employees at this bank are liars, swift talkers and care nothing other than there own paycheck. They are unethical, unprofessional and will cause you to lose everything that you have ever worked for. I applied for a loan with this bank in 2008, and in 2009 I became disable, of course I had the disability issurance because they pushed it, but encouraged me not to get the life insurance because after looking at my employment status they felt that I had enough insurance to cover this if I became deceased, so I listened and presently have no insurancce to pay this loan off if I expire, leaving a big burdened on my children. My home was paid off before coming to Citifinancial and even though the Insurance company have done their job by making the payments, Citifincial somehow applies the entire amount to interest, really this insurance just gives you 60 months to prepare to begin paying your loan after 60 months, and by the way, disability ins does not pay the loan off, it only pays 60 months, and it begin on the day you sign the loan for example I began my loan August 2008, according to my intelligence August 2009 is one year. I became disable November 2009 and I assumed that 60 months would be from the day of disability and not from the date of the loan, however not according to them, it is from the day of the loan. I not only was disrespected, humiliated, and harassed, but I also was yelled at like I was a child. The payments were 175 per month and 100 a month was going towards interest! I received a zero interest credit card and wanted to transfer the balance. | I just found out that City Financial in Tulsa on Sheridan Avenue has put a freeze on my bank account. When I called to talk to them about this a Tracy Leonard was rude and said that they would take all of my money in my account to bring my account up to date. | Yes, I too am utterly disgusted by my treatment from the office of the account manager named Jeff Mullins and his staff at the Fort Lauderdale office. My father is ill and I only tried to resolve all matters concerning his loan. I was treated like dirt or worse. Mr. Mullins was very aggressive and rude he even hung up on me because he said i was speaking over him, mindful that I wasnt using profanity or yelling at this man and he still felt the need to hang up on me. He also said he didnt care if I didnt like it, he has a job to do. Ive worked Corporate America and even the irate desk at Call centers and there has never been a time that it is acceptable to hang up on your customers, especially ones that are trying pay off a debt. I dont think corporate would appreciate them hanging up on a customer thats trying to pay them money. I called his district manager John Avorgado and I asked was this acceptable and his response was "that there may be a time when it is" I was shocked and responded"well when is it appropriate" he couldnt really answer I will be sending an official written complaint letter to corporate and I have over 20,000 facebook fans that are apart of the Corporate world and Senators and Lobbyist and other Legislators that are in session right now on the hill in Tallahassee and will definitely be spreading the word about their disrespect and total disregard for their clients and humankind in general. And then refunded the premium with a letter stating " Here is the refund YOU requested". I did not request it, I needed to use it. I was taken off work due to medical reasons, which was unforseen. Recently or may be I have not encountered with little balance in my bank account, the service has gone to zippo. Customer service? I think they do not have in their manual any more. If you call their customer service number it goes to overseas, with heavy accent and apologatic screwing voice from their end, without fixing the problem. Time has come, we should bring those all jobs back to our country from top to bottom and let America be America and not.... Those people who have $200~300 a month income are very cruel to us American, and take their grutch from talking nasty. I want our Banking Department must take notice of this and kick all these bigname little service institution who just job is to suck blood of our hard earn income citizen. | |

| You people have some of the rudest people working for you in the Akron, Ohio (Green) office. especially some %^&%^%^ who calls himself Chris. I have tried on more than one occasion to have a rational conversation with him, to no avail. he must think that is is on some type of sit-come. He has been extremelyly rude every time that I have had the mis foortune to speak to him. They have clled my home more than 10 TIMES. a day somtimes after only five or ten minutes.. If they continue to harass me.....I will have to seek further help. I know that my husband made the the bill without my knowledge, because at our age, the last thing we need is another bill. | I own a PRIVATE storage lot, and have a vehicle with citi as lein holder, well in talking with the recovery dept in Co. they basically want me to give them the truck and transport it for free 60mi to there storage yard for free. the lady I have been dealing with in Co. is heather wingate and tried to educate me on ethics is that the pot calling the kettle black or what. | the offices of CitiFinacial in my area have the most rudest, lying, abusive people I know...they yell, and curse customers out over the phone...they never return calls, they make tons of errors, are calling us, when they decide to call...up to 4 and 5 times a day....they threaten to take peoples houses away...do not want to give you a reciept if you mail the payment in...I have never seen a leading company treat people so bad...wish we could all get to sue /citi in court, refuse to modify loans when the customers qualify...loose paper work...these people are from hell... | |

I started out 3 yrs. ago at 8,000 and here i am 3 yrs. later and still owe close to 8,000 could someone tell me why my account has not moved in three years. when i call for a pay off it's always '' let me call you back. | They're horrible people, they harass, they bully and they could care less about you. Yes, they're very friendly while you're filling out the papers to get the loan, but after that all you are is a paycheck to them. I have had medical problems, fell behind two payments and they refused to help me, they called me work, my parents and when I finally went to talk to them (while I was sick also) they were rude, refused me and the second I got home they called me again to tell me they were taking me to court. I can't stand these people, they have a "ghetto" way of doing business and people in my small town seem to be forced to go to them. | |

| Citifinancial is the worse institution I have ever borrowed money from. If you are late on a payment, they resort to harassment. They have called my job and left messages with my co-workers. This is very unprofessional. I am not negating the fact that I owe the money, but leaving personal information with people who are not privy to my financial situation or have nothing to do with my business with Citifinancial is wrong and will certainly not make the payment any sooner. | |

| These people are terrible--they are relentless in trying to get payments from me in spite of the fact that I have told them I have lost my job and have no income. At one point, a manager from their local office (in Clovis) called me, threatened me, then badgered me into writing a bad check (which I told them was bad as I had no money to cover it). I then spent the next 24 hours running around town trying to sell things just to cover the check. They call me every day--sometimes every hour on the hour. I am doing everything I possibly can and still they just don't care. I have had to stop taking their calls because they simply will not work with me. They are the worst of the "bottom feeders" and I am hoping that someone will initiate a class action against them. They should also be investigated under the Consumer Rights Act. | |

I and my Mother has been doing Business with Citifincial since 2006. I was on the first loan. My Mother called them about a deferment for one Month the represenative was very rude to my Mother when I called their office about this I was cursed out by that represenative I spoke with the regional manner and reported his conduct. The represenative was repreminded. The next they called my Mother and said they wanted to refinance the note but they did not my name on it anymore. When my Mother went back out their they turned around and put my Auto as collateral because my Mothers name was on the car title. I called them about this and asked why they wanted my auto on the note and I was informed if I had not turned in the represenative and got him repreminded they would not have ever asked for auto to put a lien on it they told me next time never turn in an employee. The auto was a 1998 ford. The car wore out and I needed to trade they informed me they would not release the lien until the note was paid in full. So I called a regional manager and explained everything to him he was very nice about it and stated that a car that old should have never been a lien on it. The regional manner informed the local office that they would release the lien I got the lien release I told my Mother if she still wanted to pay them that was up to her they lowered the payments down with out refinancing the note because she was way over charged on the interest and finance charges and that all had to be applied to the note. I my self would tell anyone not to do any Business with Citifincial just run the other way. | |

| aug 20th I paid off my furniture loan with Citifinancial; however, the local branch posted this payment to the wrong account. when I began receiving calls in Sept from the SC office, I contacted the local office to inquire about why SC was calling me. They realized the payment was posted incorrectly and reversed. I was told that they had overnighted the payment to the correct Citifinancial office to post. 5 weeks later I am still getting calls and all the local office can say is that they overnighted to the address they were given and it was recieved, but can't explain why it has not posted. Then last Friday, the local office realized they had overnighted to the wrong branch and assured me that the payment was not going to be transferred to the correct office and the payment would be back dated. To date I still continue to recieve calls from the SC office. My local office resides in Elizabethtown, KY (Michelle is the branch manager), while pleasant enough, I don't feel I recieved quality service. If not for my continued calls to the local office, no one would have gone out of their way to assist in correcting. My check cleared Citifinancial in August and it still has not posted two months later - I have explained my case to several Citifinancial representatives as well... | |

| RE: CitiFinancial Promissory Note #18519 (AOT) Dear President Obama: This letter comes out of a concern for the loan that has been extended several times with Citi. Financial due to the harassing calls we received. Every month we would get a call before the loan was due that it was late (Sandy). They would even call me at my job. So I would go in and sign off of papers thinking it would help solve the problem of the harassing phone calls. But in fact they renewed the loan 4 times over a period of 3 years and the money I paid into the loan was deleted. The calls would never stop. At this point we cannot pay another eighty thousand dollars for this loan. For over a period of three years we have paid nine thousand dollars from Sept of 2008 up to date (documentation can be provided). We are asking your office to investigate why Citi Financial refuse to adjust the terms and condition on the loan at this point. We want a lower monthly payment as well and the interest cut in half. Due to the fact my salary has been cut and my wife is ill (receiving social security disability) we cannot continue to pay this loan. We are in the process of calling someone to help managed our debt. We would like to work with Citi Financial but they refused.... Therefore, if the loan cannot be adjusted then we must let this one go. This is the same company the Federal Government helped. But this camp nay cannot help us. The OCC refuses to help us. They have put our complaint in the trash. | |

| Due to financial difficulties, I settled an account with Citifinancial for less than the full amount in April, 2010. It has taken me six months (and counting) to get anyone from the Centralized Recovery to return my phone calls so that they can correct my credit record. I called Mary McDonald's office (the CEO) and her secretary referred me to David Smith, the VP for the Retail and Automotive division (410) 332-2928 to "escalate" the issue, and he hasn't called me back either. I have all the documentation I need to support my settlement claim, including canceled checks and a letter from NCC Business Services to that effect (one of their many collection agencies). While I know I'm a slug for getting into financial difficulty, there is no reason for a company to act like this. Next stop, my attorney's office. | |

| Recently I've lost my job and have been late on payments. Citifinancial has called everyday all day long! We have kept them informed on when we will be making a payment and they still keep calling. I've asked 8 months ago to please stop trying to get us to sign a deferment, and they are relentless with still calling! They even called my wife at her employer and acted like it was no big deal. We even received a letter from UPS stating they could take us to court! This has gone beyond the realm of just looking out for our well being and has turned into harassing sales tactics. I don't know where to go to stop this but I know I will never go through Citifinancial again! Thanks for making my decision so easy for me. | |

| As a past customer of CitiFinancial who was able to get loans very easily, I was glad when I recently received a yellow flyer in the mail from them with my name all over it, saying I was welcome to borrow up to $7500 - all it would take was one five-minute phone call as a formality to approve the loan. I went to the office I had always gone to in the Madison Square Shopping Center on Gallatin Road, 37115. I had done business with very knowledgeable and easygoing people there; however, they told me the lady I usualy worked with was no longer working there. They said I should have gone to visit another CitiFinancial branch office in Madison across from Home Depot, because that was the phone number on the yellow paper I had received. I had not known there were two CitiFinancial offices in Madison. Your yellow paper did not have your mailing address on it. A Madison Square employee then called the other Madison branch and let me talk to that branch. The woman there, Sherry, scolded me rudely: "You're not supposed to come to our branch until we make an appointment for you and have your papers ready!" This, when your yellow paper said plainly: "It takes just minutes to apply for your loan" and "Since we already know you as a valued customer, you can apply for your loan with just a phone call." I said that I had always just gone by the Madison Square branch without an appointment & they had never refused to help me or turned me away. When my wife called today while I was working to find out when I could pick up my loan money, the CitiFinancial lady named Sherry said that the loan was declined because I had refinanced my first mortgage. Well, if you knew that you would have to decline my loan, why on earth did you send me this yellow paper practically guaranteeing me up to $7500 in loan money? You wasted your administrative resources, paper and postage! You never took into consideration the fact that my wife's disability back pay is due within the next couple of weeks, and we could have paid the $2000 loan we wanted back very quickly. | I submitted a online application on 7/19/2010 and was contacted by an individual name Eric from a branch located at 401 East Bell Road, Phoenix, Arizona. Eric was very condensening with me and seem to question my integrity as to why I was appling for a loan with Citi. I am a previous customer/account holder who had an account with a branch located at 28th Drive and Metrocenter Parkway, Phoenix, Arizona. When I advised him of this information, he in a round about manner called me a lier. At that point, everthing went down hill, even when he offended me with a offer of $7500.00 dollars when I applied for $9999.00 dollars, but requested verbally $15000.00 dollars because of my excellent credit rating and past account with Citi. I am sure this isn't the normal pratice of Citi, but Eric conducted made me feel very unease that he had access to my credit file and feel very direspected as a consumer talking with him about my financial status.
