My 2005 Town and Country tranny went out after 75000 miles and was told that the same problem is VERY typical of the model. My other problem is that the overhead compartment with the dash lights has corroded and will require the whole unit to be replaced. Are these problems the design of these features and should they be recalled for replacement or at least financial help to cover the costs? The tranny repair was a $1300 bill and the overhead compartment replacement is quoted at $75.

It costs more in auto insurance for Dodge and GM!!! You raised the costs of parts and labor. For non-American made cars, a car must be 100%(every part) to be American Made. Cheap, cheap, etc.

Hi! I would like to know why you donot offer a manual trans for the Charger srt8? Unreal, not to with a muscle engine! And in YELLOW!! You lost a sale to Ford Boss Stang/550hp/blaze yellow!!! I have always been dodge, have driven the big block Hemi;s, 383, etc. I would also tell you, the first auto company that comes out with colors like we had, yellow, baby blue, light colors, and do custom orders for a extra charge, like you did before, for all the make and models will out sell anyone, people don't know anything about cars , engines, etc. nowadays , only pretty! Is it cheaper to paint depressing dark colors? And also roll cages for the muscle cars. Greatly disappointed in Dodge and all auto makers(bottom of the barrel). Thank You, Patti Burch

A few years ago my sister purchased a 2008 Chrysler Aspen with the 5.7 liter Hemi. The vehicle also came with a "Lifetime Powertrain Warranty" The Lifetime Powertrain Warranty came standard with on selected Chrysler,Dodge,Jeep Vehicles as an incentive for people to purchase Chysler products. A month ago My sister took her car into Beeden Dodge Chrysler Jeep in Fort Smith., Arkansas for an oil change. She dropped the car off at 8am and picked it up at 5pm. She picked up the car and drove 22 miles and the engine started knocking and the check engine light came on. She called the dealer and told them what was going on and the Service Advisor "advised" her to drive the car back to the dealer as soon as she could. Well she informed him that she wasn't comfortable with his "Advise" to drive it in and was going to have it towed in. After having the car towed in and the inspection done the Service Advisor told her that her engine was blown. She asked him "Why would the engine blow after I just had my oil changed and isn't that covered under my LIFETIME POWERTRAIN WARRANTY? The Service Advisor told her that the engine is not covered under warranty because my mechanic pulled one of the valve cover gaskets and found "SLUDGE" and sludge is caused because you don't change your oil. My sister told him "bullshit...Check my history, I've done all my oil changes here every 3500 miles since I bought the car here." Well it's a month later and the dealer is refusing to cover the engine under the LIFETIME POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. My sister contacted Chrysler Corp. and got a case manager. Today the case manager informed her that Chrysler is Denying the to warranty the engine because back in 2009 she had 3 of her oil changes done at another service station and on her invoice it states that she only paid for 6qts of oil and the car requires 7qts. I've been an Auto Technician for 25yrs. In my career I was a Heavyline Technician for General Motors and I've worked for a Chrysler Dealership as a Bumper to Bumper Technician. I'm experienced with all the different warranties (Factory and Extended Warranties) In my career I've never seen anyone work so hard to get a factory warranty denied as the associates of this dealership have worked. Everytime the Service Manager thought he found a reason to denie her warranty, "WE'RE DENYING YOUR WARRANTY BECAUSE YOU WENT 8500 MILES WITHOUT CHANGING YOUR OIL IN 2009." My sister was could provide an invoice for that time to refute him. Beeden Chrysler/Dodge DOES NOT AND REFUSES to replace her motor under the warranty. They have provided false and misleading information to Chrysler with the intent to get the warranty denied. Why would they do this? The estimate that was given to my sister to replace the motor was $9500.00 and the battery the oil cap hasn't been removed. Once they get into it the estimate will reach and exceed well over $10,000.00. Under the warranty the dealership is only paid on a set rate on labor for replacing the engine which is far less than what a customer is charged. (The dealer would not buy the motor, Chrysler provides it to them) Not once during this time has the dealership offered to even give her a discount on the $9500.00. It's 9500.00 or take your car down the road. This is about financial gain for the dealership and the associates involved (Service Manager, Service Advisor, Parts Dept, and Mechanic) All of them have far more to gain financially by denying the warranty and hope that the my sister pays the $9500.00 out of pocket to fix her car.

I have a 2008 sebring hardtop convertible and on 3/28/12 I took it in to the dealer to have them look at the top because I felt it made a noise when I put the top down. They had the car a couple days and they said it was fine. The next time I put the top down it indicated (top in operation) and light never went out when I put the top up all sorts of problems occurred. They had to replace brackets, panels and fittings and a headliner for total of $493.00 and total bill was 709.25. This after I left my car with the dealer and had them check it out. I believe that Chrysler owes me some assistance of the cost of this. Customer number 20073 invoices (docs159597) and invoice no. (DOCS136061). I would never have put the etop down it it was broken and yet the advisor at Chrysler said it worked great.

Bill Luke Dodge/Ram Phoenix AZ Sales Rating: 0 TOTAL WASTE OF TIME Written by runamuck7 on 4/1/12 9:52:35 AM PDT -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recommend this dealer? No. Purchased a vehicle from this dealer? No, Poor experience with dealer personnel The initial contact started on their web site after I saw a truck on their inventory list I was interested in. I wrote down the stock number for future reference and made contact with their online rep. Right out of the gate, this person was trying to get purchase commitment from me before even looking at the truck. I told her I would like to look at it and would be at the dealership within the hour. She requested we check in with the fron desk upon arrival which we did. We were told at that time it would be a little while before a sales associate could get to us. I left my business card with the receptionist and told her we would be on the West side of the lot looking for this truck. We walked the lot for half an hour and could not locate the truck. We went back into the store and told the receptionist that we still had not been contacted by the sales department. We then spent another half hour or so looking at a truck on the showroom floor with the same cab configuration as the one we were looking for. At this point an hour had passed and no one from the sales department had come out and greeted us, said hi, or we are busy but will be with you soon. None of this happened. We did observe sales staff on the lot mulling around. The truck I was looking for was a 3500 Mega Cab 4 X 4. There is not a lot of them out there in the Big Horn trim. Before we left, we stopped by the front desk and told the receptionist we were leaving and we had not been contacted by the sales staff. Now, this is one of the car companies that had asked and recieved a financial bail out by the tax payers. The Ram Heavy Duties and built in Mexico. This does nothing to help the American job situation. The GM truck I did buy was built in Arlington Texas. The bottom line is Bill Luke Dodge did not deserve my business. Their customer meet and greet process needs an overhaul. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dealership Experience

I had to laugh when I started reading these reviews. I have had SEVERAL vehicles that were Dodges and Chryslers. I was finally at the point were I was tired of always have to purchase a used vehicle and broke down and purchased new.. Figuring that buying a new vehicle and the warranty I wouldn't have to worry about anything. Boy was I wrong, I was better off with the used vehicles I had! I Purchased a 2010 Dodge Journey leftover in 2011 with 7 miles on it.. Thinking "wow this is great". At 8,000 miles my tires started wearing and complaind several times to the dealer and got nowhere. after the "12 months 12,000 miles" hit I needed 4 new tires. I did complain the the tire manufacturer and did receive a discount but it still ended up costing me $500.00. Than as the put the tires on the vehicle they tell me ALL $ of my rotors areshot(not the brake pads, just the rotors). REALLY? So as I complain the the dealer about this I was told basically SOL!!! Really 1 year into a brand new car and all rotors are shot! I called the corporate office and the said the would extend the warranty to cover all but $100.00 and replace all brake pads and rotors for me. Well that probally sounds great tho them but when your a single mother with 4 children trying to make ends meet and your paying a car payment on a brand new car and every other week haveing to dump money into a vehicle for things that should not have to be done it SUCKS!!!! I lost all respect for the vehicles and I believe I will be purchasing a Honda next time around!!!! Chrysler needs to do something because you are getting a VERY bad name..Unless something is done to correct their issues they will be loosing alot of customers. I also work in the car business and have a large family who always purchases Chrysler vehicles. At this point they all are aware of this problem and are not going to purchase any Chrysler products either!

Here is a brief summary of what has happened: 1. I am first and only owner of the 2005 Jeep Liberty. 2. I moved from the home where Jeep was originally registered. 3. Recently while driving lower ball joint failed while, injuries were avoided but failure resulted in crash and damages. 4. Auto was taken and currently resides at Miami Lakes Auto Mall. 5. Dealer reports collateral damages from accident and pronounces vehicle unsafe to drive. 6. Corporate refuses to perform repairs. 7. Claim Manager Jay Susalla accuses customer of ignoring recall notice and lying about it.

i bought a 2008 dodge vista cruiser motor home last Oct,never being used yet had it dewinterized found 4000 dollars worth of work to be done [49000miles]buyer beware i guess the issue is when i went to have it registered it was a 2007 ,i went after the dealer and they said there are 2 vin num one for chassis one for coach ,one was made in 2007 one was made in 2008,therefore they have to use the chassis vin[2007 but can sell it as a 2008 is this even possible i would like to get hold of someone at dodge to verify

I purchased a 2008 Jeep Wrangler with 24K miles on it. Immediately I noticed the driver side blowing cold air. I took it to a jeep dealer who said it needed a new heater core at a price of $800. I contacted the seller who refused to do anything - so I started a claim. He paid for half the repair. 6K miles later the engine blew. There was no warning: no oil was leaking, it wasn't smoking, not oil light came on, but when I heard the thumping noise and checked there was no oil. The oil had been changed every 3K miles so it wasn't neglected. My mechanic thinks there must have been an internal leak that caused the oil to evaporate - but he can only guess. Jeep dealer says it's a lack of maintenance - not sure how they can possibly come to this conclusion, except it's their way out of having to repair it. I can't believe what a piece of crap this vehicle has been. Cost of this repair: $6K. SERIOUSLY?? I swore off american cars years ago but had heard that american car dealers had gotten their act together... guess that was wrong wrong wrong.

I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500. I bought it in 2007 from the dealer. I installed a flatbed on it. It had 116000 miles on it. We never had any trouble with the lights or anything. Last month I used my wife's car to drive out of town and left her my truck. She drove it home from work one day and parked it in the driveway. She got the mail and pulled the trash can up to the house. Went inside and let the dog out the back. After a while she went to let the dog back in and began to smell smoke. She looked out front and the truck was on fire. The truck burned to the ground befor the fire department could put it out. the fire inspector said the fire originated in the relay panel. The fire was caused by a malfunctioning relay. When I called Chrysler They said it was because of the extra lights on the bed. I told them there were no extra lights on the bed. They said it was because of the flatbed I installed on the truck and the lights were not stock. The lights on the truck were only what is required by law to make the truck legal. There were no extra lights and no higher wattage lights. I told her they wold be sued. She said do what you have to do. Even if it had extra lights and it did not, thats what fuses are for. Chrysler built the truck out of plastic and the relay failed causing a fire that let to a total loss. Thank God no one was hurt or that my family was not in bed sleeping when this thing decided to flame up. Chrysler should have stood behind the truck.

I sold your "vehicles" for a while in PA. Sadly, they were all garbage! The best vehicles I sold were non-Chrysler/Dodge/Ram/Jeep. Also, the training the managers receive is crap! They treat their employees like crap! Go somewhere else where the sales staff is happy, well trained, and respected. Talk with your dollars, and maybe Chrysler will get the hint, but I doubt it.

Anyone that owns a 2004 Dodge Durango with 5.7 Hemi engine and has had to have the engine rebuilt (most under 100k miles) please go to edmonds.com. You will read that many people have the same problem. Mine too. I bought it new in may 04. I had no major problems until one day in January 2012 i tried to start it and the engine blew. It had been well maintained and just over 90,000 miles on it. I'm not a lead foot and have only used it once to pull a 17 ft fishing boat. Chrysler said it was a fluke that a few Durango engines are blowing up. They are not going to satisfy their customers and they do know what the problem is. They used some cheap aluminum parts. Well I'm not taking a chance on another fluke. I have purchased 4 new Chrysler products since 1996. But I'll be buying a Ford next time.....They didn't take the bail out. Heck I may buy a Toyota. No sense in trying to buy American made anymore. None of the big 3 companies make their cars completely in America.....Maybe the cars that Chrysler considers just a fluke were ones built buy the employees smoking marijuana and or drinking beer on their lunch breaks as seen on tv.

I have a 1997 plymouth grand voyager which has been very good to me. My problem is with their so-called mechanics. I bought the van new and the first problem was with the windshield wipers. They would just start going on their own. All the time the van was under warranty, I was told that they couldn't find a problem. Once the warranty was no effective, They knew exactly what the problem was andI got to pay to have it fixed. Of course, since they did no repairs when iI brought it in, there were no records of the problem. Other than that that, most anything I needed done was taken care of by a friend who is a licensed mechanic. Then I had a problem with the van gooing dead, litteraly. No lights, keypad not working, nothing. We thought it might have something to do with the alarm system which was later found out was put in by the dealer and not the manufacturer. I had the cr towed to the Orange Park Chrysler dealer thinking that the manufacturer alarm would have to be removed. It was supposedly put on a diagnostic machine and the wires cleaned and the car started. That was 221 dollars. I was told that if it did it again, it would cost 400 dollars to remaov the alarm. Being on a fixed income, it was money I just didn't have. Four dys later I got stranded at the grocery store. Again the car was dead. I called a friend that I hadn't spoken to in a few years and told him the problem. He came out and it took him less than a minute to fgure out what the problem was. The connector to the battery terminal was not connecting. How did Chrysler do a diagnostic if there was no power coming from the battery. My friend said that is basic mechanics 101. Strangely, the dealer mechanic did replace one of the 3 dollar connectors. Had he replaced the other one, I would never known of their incompetence. By the way, my friend who solved the problem had been service mamnager for Mercedes for 25 years. The machanic at Chrysler was a typical backyard mechanic. Way to rip people off. I shall now file a small claim suit against them!

Codes mean nothing. You just keep replacing parts. I have a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport and that Van is trying to kill me. It can go from 1500 rpm to 4000 and you are going no where. It has been in the shop 5 times, and it is still acting like a monster. It has been in the Transmission shop. They found a wire that was buned through due to it being against the motor. That helped for a couple of days. Now it is back to the same thing. If you are doing even 35 miles per hour it is like slaming on the breaks but then it rev's up to lots of rpms. Sensor after sensor. All for not. Afraid to drive on the highway. How much money do you expect us to put in your junk, and when are you going to admit you are putting out something that can't be fixed. So many post and so many people out there wanting an answer. Every one can't aford a new vehicle ever year or even two years. WE have to do good up keep and maintenance on our cars. We hope they will last. No so with Chrysler products. They make throw away vehicles that could harm you. No thanks if I can get enough money to by another vehicle. I have spent a lot on this one now.

I bought a 2006 PT Loser with 20,000 miles on 21/2 years ago. Since then, the AC went out and the brakes and now the AC again. The tune almost $2,000. Shall we say cha ching Chrysler? Your car is crap and major mechanical issues with such low mileage. I will never buy another Chrysler again.

I have had nothing but problems with defective sensors in my three pt crusiers. 2001 limited 65,000 miles 2001 limited 55,000 miles 2005 Dream Crusier 31,000 miles the following repairs cost me over $5500.00: cam shaft sensor (2 cars) 2001 / 2005 abs sensor front (2 cars) 2001 / 2001 abs sensor rear (1 car) 2001 power steering sensor (3 cars) 2001/ 2001 2005 rack & pinon steering (1 car) 2001 because of the poor quality of senors I will never buy a chrysler product again

Today, I read in The Wall Street Journal that Fiat in Italy is the owner of Chrysler Motor Corporation not the other way around. Maybe that’s why we have been having so many problems with the product and service since the bail out. To find out the extent of the problem, Google: Dodge Problems or other models. The phone number on this page and the 800 number Don Jackson Dealership, Union City GA. gave me always ring busy. The real number for Chrysler Motor Corporation customer service is 1 800-247-9753. Also send your complaints in writing to the address above to make sure they read them. Original complaint dated April 17, 2012. Ottellia Hampton 404 767-1418.

I purchased my 2009 dodge journey in may of 2010 with 21,000 miles on it. 2 months after having it the breaks and rotors had to be replaced. Tires about 9 months after then the water pump 12 months after. I had purchased this vehicle to have a reliable family car and it has been a nightmare. Now after having it for almost 2 yrs the breaks need to be replaced again and now there is an annoying squeak in my wheel and when pressing on my breaks my steering wheel shakes. Transmission is slipping. This is the worst vehicle I have ever had! I am very upset that these cars are made so poorly. I think Chrysler should recall all 2009 dodge journeys and reimburse all owners. This gives you a bad name.

From this website, there doesn't seem to be any happy chrysler customers... I was one for 35 years... but I am done with chrysler... won't buy anything from a chrysler or one of their authorized or otherwise affiliated dealers. Chrysler commits organized fraud!!! The 5 year extended Chrysler warranty that I purchased at the dealership for my car became a 2 year extended warranty at Chrysler headquarters... and what does Chrysler say about it?... Their response is essentially "sucks to be me". I have purchased 8 new chryslers, but never again!!! Before this discussion over my "warranty" began I had lost confidence in Chrysler, just suspected something was wrong with the company. So I didn't buy my wife a chrysler... Want to see my new Ford Edge? Sits in my driveway.... Now I am so happy I didn't buy a chrysler.... oh, I'm not shy; I look forward to talking about my chrysler extended warranty experience with family, friends, neighbors, strangers on the street... anybody who'll listen...
