Just to let you know. Check N Go tried to work out a deal when I ran into trouble paying my loan. They were considerate until I said I needed them to send the loan to an Agency so I could consolidate with some other debts through a debt counseling service. I wish I could take them up on the offer and pay the amount they want but it is not within my reach now. I don't want to go into another agreement with just a single debt. They refuse to give the an address that I can write their office about the matter. They give phone numbers the record information that is not about the loan. They threaten to take money other ways. I am trusting in the Lord to help me settle this matter as soon as posible.

My first and only loan ever with Check n Go! I only had it for a little over a month and I had the worst CUSTOMER SERVICE experience! My loan was due on 8/26. I called the store around noonish to let them know that due to my work situation I may not be able to make the 7p store closure, possibly on Monday. The clerk was very snippy, rude and abrupt insisting I come in. I told her that if I could not make it in by 7p I would be in touch with her thru out the day as I would know more about my work situation. Soon as I found out more about my work I called her again and asked if I could come in Sat morning when they opened. Again, she was rude. I kept the communication opened calling her at least 3 more times. At around 5:45pm I called her again while stuck in some serious traffic over 60 miles away. She was very rude insisting I make it in or go to another store in the area in which I was in. Being unfamilier with the area I didn't want to get lost then not meet the store closer deadline for that particular location. I told her I was calling corporate to help out on my situation and she accused me of threatening her to call Corporate and the line went dead. I called the Customer Service comment line and a Cust Serv Rep (CSR) answered. She transferred me to the District Director's (D.D.)comment line. I got a recording "closed" giving the hours of operations, one being Saturday 10a-2p. On Sat 8/27 prior to me visiting the store where I "had" my loan I called the D.D. again (3x) so that I could express my concern on my loan, inform them of my bad experience and to prevent a conflict with the store clerk. I explained to all 3 CSRs that I kept getting a recording "The District Director for Zip Code ##### did not answer good bye" then the line would go dead. I was then transferred to another store who might be able to help. They answered a few of my questions but was not the right person to report my concerns with. I sensed her stress in her voice already so early in the morning. In fact, when you call the customer service comment line 888-372-9329 while you're on hold their recording prides themselves on their professional customer service. Seriously! My store clerk bad experience and not able to get thru to a D.D. alone is poor customer service. I have to admit the 3 CSRs Amanda, Sara, and Matt who answered the C/S line early Sat. morning were all very courteous. Probably becuase they really need their job and afraid to get the same treatment as their customers from thier superiors. I could've had an accident fitting traffic to get to the store on time on 8/26. I should have known that when I applied for the loan and everytime I went to make a payment the only store clerk there voiced her personal problems at home, including not getting paid on time, no lunch hour taken. Not to mention her tone with others on the phone. I was a short time customer and couldn've been a long time customer but never again with Check n Go! Maybe their employees get treated the same way I got treated and they express it in thru customer service. Maybe it's not the employees fault, maybe it's leadership!

I would just like to tell you that i spent six months of my life working for this company which does not care anything about their employees. This company gives out loans quicker than you can get a happy meal at McDonald's. This company suxs you in because you are desperate or just don't have the means of other financing. I saw elderly people who could not hardly write , and received s.s.i and their payment be 850.00 a month . I left the store feeling so dirty and quilty of taken advantage of people. The DDO (D'Ereka ) was one of the worst boss I have ever seen. and yes you just get a loan and put a stop payment on it. and then they sell it off to a collection agency after months of sitting in the filing cabinet. but to say it all .. if you like taken advantage of the elderly and enjoying being totally confused on a daily schedule. then go for it.. I promise you will be leaving within 3 months..

Im sitting in one right now and the guy has been rude from the min, o walked in. he has been talking to the other customers about me. I am a man from nebraska that is disabled, and has a brain tumor. He is from iowa and well not sure why he has been like this too me. I think it might be the way I look or because im in a nebraska jacket in a iowa store. My tumor affects me so I have rings around my eyes. The man works in newton iowa. The man is unprofessional and a all around rude.i will be calling his manager in the morning. If I didnt need the cash I would not be here.

I CALLED CHECK N GO ABOUT TRYING TO DEBIT MY ACCOUNT A SECOND TIME WHICH CAUSED MAJOR FEES AND THE REP TOLD ME DONT EVEN GO THERE YOU SHOULD HAVE PAID YOUR BILL DON'T EVER DO ANY TYPE OF BUSINESS WHAT SO EVER WITH CHECK N GO......

Just stay away from these places. One thing to remember depending on what state you live in. They are taking a check KNOWING that there are no funds to cover it. In some states they cannot take you to court for writing a cold check because of this. Close your account or put a stop payment on the check. If you are a monthly customer they cannot garnish your check for nonpayment. Just keep in mind that they do sell uncollected checks to 3rd party collections. File bankruptcy and problem is solved. Check local legislation. Call your Rep or Congressman. There are bills that are usually being voted on to do away with companies like Check n Go. Everyone needs to attend and voice your concern about how they pray on the poor and middle class.

I went to their store on Scott Street in Houston, TX on 1/3/11 to get a loan the man tells me my bank account is not active. I tell him my account is active and I tell him to call the 1800# and speak to customer service, but he refused. He told me to go to the bank, and get a 30 day transaction list to show my account is active. I went to the bank it took me 30 minutes in there. I go back to the store for him to call the 1800# again, and tell me my account was not active. I asked him why did he make me go to the bank if he was not going to take the paper, and give me the loan. This jerk called the cops on me I told the police what happened, and he said it sounded like he wasn’t going to give it to me in the 1st place, and shouldn’t have sent me there. I spoke to his manger Sarah from cooperate she said I told him my acct was froze, and she hung up on me. I was like why would I go to the bank and come back if that was the case. THIS IS THE WORSE PLACE IN AMERICA I WOULD NEVER SUGGEST IT TO ANYONE. I only went there because Bonita who works during the day is nice I get money orders from her. I will never go there again if my life depended on

Not only have I seen these situations but it is policy. We are told to check bank accounts 3 times a day, if the money is there then take the check to the bank. Not only is the company horrible to its customers but also to the employees. No lunches, no breaks, working from 9 to 6:30, in some states, all by themselves. The stores I worked at had long waits and if we did not ask to take the application over the phone then we would get in trouble. It does not save customers time it is just the companies way of trying to get the customer to borrow. It is ridiculous the working conditions and what not of this company. I worked there a little over a year and by the time I left I was so stressed that I would cry on my way home. Working all those hours, customers yelling and screaming because the company says do this. This company is the worse company ever. My favorite part is how I had to do my own review, then it got passed to my manager, her manager and hr, then back to her, then back to me. A 3 month process and I still never got my review before I left. I would recommend never borrowing let alone work for this company.

Having done service for a store location in February 2010, finally received payment of $30.00 on 8-28-10. Interest and late payment fees were sent to them on a monthly basis. Guess that think they don't have to pay those late fees and interest charges. No one will return my calls from corporate office.

keri robinson 469-245-7154 please call me! after the same thing happening as these others have stated.. i cancelled the three checks in august. just yesterday they ran 3 UNAUTHORIZED debits from my acct which bounced. that is ILLEGAL! I expect this fixed ASAP. They can NOT debit my acct and store my acct info without permission!!! i will go to court if its not fixed waxahachie, tx location

I tried to get a loan. I am just having a hardship at the moment, which Check n Go ads say they CAN help. I spoke to an employee at the Arnold, Missouri location at 4:30pm, she told me that I can apply right on the phone and saves some time. The manager got on phone (Stephanie at Arnold, Mo. location) we went through the whole process with the application at 4:30 pm she had to call my payroll dept by 6:00pm to verify my employment, I called her back at 5:00pm to give her a new number for direct payroll at work because she said she didn't have time. I then called her at 5:30 to see if I qualified and see if I needed to bother to make the drive to the location, because they were closing at 6:00pm, she then said she was refusing my service because I had called too many times to see if I qualified and that I needed to go elsewhere for a loan! I just could not understand why she kept telling me that coming into the store wouldn't speed things up because the "in store" customers were slowing things down, I said if I am in the store with you no one can get in front of me and make me wait again....anyway she just seemed like she was looking for any excuse to not do her job, it was near closing time. In closing I would like to know that all the information I gave her on the phone; ss#, bank#'s, address', work info...alot of information is disregarded and taken out of your system. Check n Go is horrible, I would NEVER suggest someone go there unless I hated them. I used them for a long time, repeated loans. I got to a point where I couldn't pay them and the other payday loans I got into anymore. Another payday provider told me that the only way out is to let the check bounce or stop it and then make arrangements to pay it off. So I stopped the checks at all of them and called them each to make arrangements. The gal there was very nice and told me she would work with me. Before I ever made the first payment, one of their collection people called me and tried to intimidate me, wish I had his name, and then he told me he wasn't trying to intimidate me but I had committed fraud and that I purposely wrote a check intending not to pay it. I told him I was going to pay them..on time. He said the next bunch that called me would be worse. I put them on CCCS they took 1 payment, sent the next check back and told me that they sold it to a collection agency. Those people called me today, Allstate something, they are awful. The guy who called was a thug. I am going to file charges against them both.

I was late with my payment due to recent disability, I signed a an agreement with Check n go, a contract agreeing to postpone payment. I was in process of gathering funds an filing so that they, like my other billers, could receive payment. Despite this, one of their employees went ahead and cashed in the payment, TWICE at their bank - which bounced TWICE, and ONCE at mine - which also bounced, meaning that a $200 payment quickly turned into $400 just from bank penalty fee's. The agreement contract was not honored, and am in debt with that now. The only thing this company did about this was to fire this employee, who repeated her actions so that several others are in unnecessary and unwarranted debt like myself. I asked them to account for the fees that were unjustifiably done and they insisted that there was nothing that they could do about the financial damage. If I were you, I would NOT seek Check n Go for any loans, they will wrongfully take your money, and justify it, and then hide behind their employees to justify it with. With the same thing happening to so many employees, it leaves one to wonder that it's being done so readily, and how often? It happened to me, and it could happen to you! Therefore I posted this to in order to hopefully help someone else prevent the mistake of going to this company for a loan; you're getting into debt not just for the payback amount - but for so much more than you bargained you bargained for!!!!!!
