Why don't you drop channel 12? It is full of inept reporting. Wait three hours for an update? Look at the money you would save! You use News 12 as a selling point. That's why your losing customers.

I am possibly more upset with myself than cablevision,for allowing them to convince me to give up directv and come back to them.I was promised whole home dvr which is what i had with directv,(they said it would be available end of june) first lie,they also told me I would get upgrade in internet service,but neglected to mention the 10$ I would be charged per month,(second lie),finally i was quoted a monthly charge of 113$ per month for all three services and I am actually being charged 133$,when the tech came out last week to install he told me the truth about what I was actually getting and not getting,in the midst of his install,i contacted cust service and sales to clear up everything,they basically acted,like they didn't believe me and if I wasn't happy I didn't have to get the installation done.When they realized I wasn't letting this go that easily they promised to pull the original call from the sales rep,and figure out what exactly,I was promised.Well it's a week later and no one has called and there's nothing they can do and if I want directv back I would have to pay for them to reconnect,since cablevision cut directv connection,they are the absolute worst in service,I will never have anything to do with this company,they allow their sales people to lie to customers,just to get them to connect and hold no one accountable for it. Zero stars for cablevision,never again!!!

I am very frustrated with the lack of good customer service I am getting from Cablevision. We have all three services with them: TV, Phone and Internet. We pay our bills on time every month and all we wanted to do was upgrade our 4 IO TV Cable boxes in order to accommodate the HDMI cables we were told at 10:30 the night before when we called to confirm our appointment that they do not provide. I took the day off and re-arranged my busy schedule to go purchase the HDMI Cables only to find out when the technician arrived that all he had on the truck were the same HD boxes we already have, none of which would accommodate the HDMI Cables I ran out to buy! "So what are you doing here if you don't have what I need?", I asked. The reply was far from satisfactory and quite honestly besides feeling angry I was embarrassed for him. Having called the customer service line 4 times immediately after the disappointment, I must say that I am still waiting for someone to call us to explain how they are going to correct the lack of good customer service they advertise!

i can not believe the false selling point to get you to go back to cable,,,iswitch from cable to verizon last year,,well they called and got me to drop verizon and come back,,well it turned out to be a big bag of crap,,,3 times i have sent my old bill to cable ,,,and nothing nothing at all ,,my bill is more than when i cacelled and went to verizon well sent the bill out today for the last time,,if cable doesnt do what they promised over a year ago i will go back to verizon,,,,hey cable stop lying to people ok

Being that I have worked in the cable industry for over a decade in Michigan. I have had the chance to feel such disatisfaction and humiliation as well as anger. Constomers need to know it's normally not the rep that is bad it's the Management team all the way to the top Executives. They teach employees to lie and cheat consumers. The reps are punished,threatened and even fired for not forcing customer to purchase bundled packages. Higher management are receiving comissions, bonuses in the thousands. While cheating the entry line rep. OMG, they are negligent,liars that bully employees and Black ball many employees that are honest and intelligent. If u have a functional brain your'e their enemy. They are the theives amongst theives.

If there was 0 star I would definitely give it to Cablevision. The payment department is always taking double the amount the money they are supposed to from your account and its their mistake yet they want you to follow all this paperwork to get your money back. They are horrible. I explained to them that the extra money taken was for my medication and no one cared. They just basically insisted that the steps had to be followed and I bascially had to go without the 10 days without my medications and it was their damn mistake. This has happened 3 times and they are all so concerned about the procedures. I can understand if I had something to do with the transactions, but I do not. Now they have the audacity to ask that I pay $20 for a charge a bank charged them for the double payment. What is wrong with this company? I will soon be leaving cablevision. I never dealt with these issues when I was with Fios or TimeWarner.

Hi My problme with cablevision is that i signed up for the three way optimum service i was not told of contract ending until i called cablvision and was told that the contract was over on dec.15 2010 plz. help in this matter i don't think cablevision is bad i think communication is key going foward i would like written correspondence about the new rates i also would like to continue to recive the old rates i had in the past because of cablevision staff not diong there job. i have no desire to leave cablevision but i demand to be treated with respect i also will call corp. office to let them know how a valued customer was treated. thank you.................................................. I had trouble since the summer getting my cable channels to work. I bought a high def. TV and since the day i got the high def. cable box i could not see 90 percent of my channels. I made many calls someone came and he could not fix anything and I needed a mgr. Well I cant tell you how many calls I made for a mgr to call and make an appt. with me and it never happened. In Oct. a mgr. of field work by the name of Greg begged me to give them one more change because i am going to better business bureau. Well he sent his best man and in 5 min. it was fixed the box i first received for high def was defective. I also asked to be reimbusted for some of that time from summer to oct that i could not watch most of my channels. well when i tried to just at least get my bill payed up to date and i would be happy i was told by the phone rep. he saw no such phone calls and wouldn't get me a supervisor. Well yesterday they finally turned off my phone and cable. It is a blessing -IT SHOWED ME I DON'T NEED MY TWO CABLE BOXES AFTER ALL I CAN DO WITHOUT THEM, SO THANK YOU FOR THAT. I am still putting a complaint of the extremly poor service I got and the lie about getting some credit for the time i never received more than half of my channels. As a customer and former employee,cablevision is the worst in every possible aspect. The loss of fox channel and their affiliates was the end of the road for many customers. As employee I was sexually harrassed by a superior. I bought it to proper personel and nothing was done. Myself and other females had the same complaint about the same person yet nothing has been. Cablevision is the worst.

SEEMS STRANGE, ACCORDING TO CABLEVISION, NEWSCORP. IS GIVING THEM "A TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT" ATTITUTE. I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME "TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT" RESPONSE FROM CABLEVISION WHEN ASKING THEM IF THEY WILL BE ISSUING ANY CREDIT TO MY ACCOUNT OR ADDING ANY ADDITIONAL (MOVIE) CHANNELS TO MY CHANNEL LINE-UP, FOR WHICH THEY HAVE VIOLATED BY NO LONGER BEING ABLE TO ACCESS 5FOX AND MY9 AND ITS AFFILIATES. AS OF DAY 9, I HAVE SPOKEN TO 4 REPS, 2 OF THEM SUPERVISORS. ONE OF THEM TOLD ME TO PURCHASE A CONVERTER BOX. I TOLD HER IN THAT CASE, CABLEVISION SHOULD SUPPLY THEM OR I WILL BUY ONE AND DEDUCT COST FROM MY BILL. CABLEVISION MIGHT LOOSE MORE THAN 150 MILLION DOLLARS IN SUBSCRIBERS IF THEY DONT GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER AND PUT THEIR MONEY WHERE THEIR MOUTH IS.

If News Corp. has pulled programming in a contract dispute with cablevision why is Fox News ( FNC ) continued to be broadcast.

Your ads re News Corp are not strong enough. If you would give out their address and phone number for the public to make phone calls and protest, you would have better results than just making that 800 number available. Let them hear from us directly how we feel about their childish and greedy antics.
