YOUR STAFF IN THE GUN DEPARTMENT ARE JERKS IN (IL.) I WILL NEVER BUY A GUN THERE AGAIN (GOD FOR BID YOU ASK THEM A QUESTION!) NEVER AGAIN!!!!! (BASS PRO HAS MY MONEY NOW).

Bought tactical pants, no note of shipping from manufacturer, but after some 4 weeks was then told I could wait another week to find out if they had shipped. I cancelled, now they tell me I will wait another 2 weeks. Now they say they will not credit for another two weeks, I have bought from them for many years but will never again!

Lifetime Warranty on their Boots are one year?, I Tried to return Cabela Boots where the seam let go on the side, the boots were 2 years old and I had the reciept. They said the Lifetime Warranty on the boots were 1 year. I told them on the receipt it says lifetime of the product! This is a deceptive sales tatic and I am going to file a complaint with a federal or state agency.

Went with my husband today to buy a pistol. We waited for over a hour. Not one of the unhappy looking employees told us it would take awhile for the process. I knew it would not be quick, but when you say 20 minutes to 30, and then 1 hour and 15 minutes go by, there seems to be a problem. Once our name was called, we were on our way, so I thought. My husband asked what the laws were for our son, who is in the Army about getting a weapons permit and such. That is where the problems started. ( what a shame ) This young boy, raised his voice at us. I looked at my husband and said, 'that is horrible', and then he looks at me with anger in his eyes, and yelled, ' what is horrible?' I then said to him, it is a shame that my son can fight and die for our country and freedom, but he is months from being able to have a weapons permit. He then proceeds to yell at me, well he can drink now can he. I responded 'well, where he is stationed, he can if he so wanted to'. He would not let up when he was asking me where he was at. NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!!!! I then told him that I was talking to my husband and not him when I said that is horrible, and that I would not fight with him over this. We pay for the pistol, and I picked up a few other things, against my better judgment, and made my way to the check out. The girl there asked me if I would round my dollar amount up to donate to something that I could not understand due to the fact she was talking a mile a minute. I said no thank you, due to the fact I just spent 100's of $ in the back of the store. She got the BIGGEST attitude with me, she made me feel dirty. She did not even say have a nice day. She threw my change on the counter, and before I was done picking it up, she was ringing up the person behind me. Thank god the lady saw what happened, and said, no I will wait till she gets here change and merchandise. WOW, I will NEVER shop here again.

I just heard for a Thompson Center Rep. Here's what happened to my Thompson Center Icon? It came off the line on Aug 30th, it was allocated for Cabela's Roger Mn. But someone from Thompson Center sent it to someone else? So at this point the Rep is working on getting this Rifle delivered. So i hope between Cabela's and the Thompson Center rep this will be a done deal quickly!! I have purchased many firearms from Cabela's in the past but never had this happen!! I will update when it is in my hands!! I still like Cabela's it really at this point not there fault!!

I'm really unhappy and dissapointed, March 2012 i put 400.00 down on a Thompson center icon 308 weather shield. I have talked to Brett i can't remember how many times? Well it's September 5th 2012 he told me that they were going to ship it out August 30th next day so thought would have it for Labor day. Guess what still have not shipped out at Thompson Center he has a Number but i'm still waiting. You have 400.00 of my money so why can't you just go to Corporate at Thompson Center and demand they ship this there can't be a shortage of these? I need answers this is way to long for a rifle!! Please get this taken care of!! I left my phone # on your voice maii!!

As I read the preceding comments I was shocked at the negative comments. I have purchased items from them yearly for at least 30 years. I have found their prices to be fair (you should shop around before paying what you believe to be unfair prices). Anyone purchasing outdoor equipment and supplies should do their homework to make sure you are purchasing products you know and trust. Cabela's sells a lot of well known namebrand merchandise. I have returned items without a receipt, which I had worn for but was dissatisfied with. They have always taken care of me. Buyers should be aware that most stores do not warrent a lot of their equipment, such as guns. That warrenty is the responsibility of the people who make the product. The stores do not cover these items. Customers should be reading the information which comes with most of these items. If you wear something and damage it do not expect a store to just hand over your money. If you damaged the product you own the stuff. I have seen some of the items which Cabela stores have taken back--damaged by the customer--yet the store took care of it. I will continue to shop at Cabela's. They are at least as good as any of their competion.

Your company should have online games and super big bucks on a deer hunting game for xbox and ps3 plus wiiu. And when some one kills a monster buck on the game the could order a hand held head trophy of the buck they killed for a small fee. This would make a great collectors game. You could also sell a head mounting board that would hold up to 12 small hand size deer or elk head mounts made by cabelas. Just make the head wall monts out of rubber filling of differnt sizes according to what the player killed on the game. This would make your game the best a gamer ,hunter would love this set up.

say i am not one of your coustmors , yet i understand from those i know that your are a grate product supplyer . in reading your reviews is seem you have a lot of unhappey campers . reasond from a to z . i would think your key management fokes would eather clean up each store , insure employee training and product procedures for repair, replacement . have one set of rules that are understandable to all coustmors . but most inportent go undercover at a number of stores as an employee and as a coustmor get the facts . pick up the phone and call a few unhappey coustmors and clear it up know the facts meet with store employee and the coustmor . i grant you cabela has to have some great employees one bad one can result in more bussiness loss than twinty or more grate ones . coustmors have a responsibilty just as cabela . the quility of coustmor service will make or brake any bussiness sooner or later .

About 16 months ago I purchased a pair of Extreme Whitetail Stalkers Goretex Boots at the Cabela's Rogers, MN store. A couple of months after buying them, my feet were getting wet, boots are leaking. The reason I bought Cabela's boots was soley becasue of the return policy and quality of Cabela's merchandise, which has set you apart from all other retailers, but was I surprised and very disappointed when I was told that since I didn't have the receipt and it was more than a year, that they couldn't do anything for me, however sitting right there on the floor was a sign that said "lifetime replacement GUARANTEE on Cabela's merchandise" well these are Cabela's boots and no replacement. The customer service mgr said that the reason they were leaking was because I could of put a hole in them from a barbed wire fence or the like, the boots are leaking becasue of poor workmanship is not my fault. I spend a couple of thousand dollars a year at Cabela's, but not any more and all my friends will know of how Cabela's screws a customer over...

Hi, I purchase a 12 Gauge Smith and Wesson Shotgun last October in the Scarborough store and after 1 hour in the field, despite my air drying the gun and oiling it immediateley, it rusted and so the bluing is obviously defective. The only resolve I could get when I returned it was that the store would send it back to the Manufacturer to had it re-blued. Today I drove all the way from Augusta without being informed my gun was not fixed and had yet another run-in with "Paul" who I understand is the hard lines Manager. Here is my basic problem. 1.) He misrepresented himself twice as the store Manager when I asked him if that is his title, he said it was. He told me they could not help me and to leave the store with my gun. I refused to leave with the gun and asked to speak with the store Manager and Paul refused to allow it. 2.) He told me three times which upset my wife greatly that if I did not leave with my gun he would call the ATF and they would be beating on my door and I would be subject to arrest. My wife was so upset because she believed him, I had them take the gun up-front, but then refused to take it out of the store until some reasonable resolve can be reached. This is my intention. 1.) I will attempt to contact the store Manager or perhaps you could have him call me to resolve the issue. 2.) On Monday I am reporting this incident to both the attorney General for the State of Maine as well as most certainly contacting the ATF as they are going to take a dim view of customers being harassed by company employees. I will know forward this letter to the Maine Better Business Bureau. I am well connected in this State with outdoorsman and Maine Guides, but I will never set foot in another Cabela's as long as I am alive.

I shop a lot at Cabela's, but I don't understand why Cabela's promotes Target. A company who doesn't respect our Men and Women in Uniform.

I regulary visit the Cabelas store in Hamburg, Pa. On my last visit there i was extremely disappointed. The greeters always wore a United States Flag pin on thier shirts.I noticed they were not wearing them and saw that the pins were hanging behind a podium were really no-one can see. I asked them why they were not wearing them anymore and I was told that they may no longer display them on there person and were told to immediately take them off. REALLY!!!!!!! I'm appalled at the thought of a chain store so widely respected would ban the wearing of the flag to show support of our Country and our Soldiers who fight everyday so we have our freedom, and now with the 4th of july right around the corner where the display of our flag should be welcomed if not honored is told to disappear. My question would be " Does Cabela's support our country - The United States of America - or not." I say let the employees and Greeters wear the pins, or better not let but make it a part of the uniform.....AN ACT SO SMALL, BUT AN IMPACT SO BIG!!!!!!! From a Proud American, Stephanie

I bought an ez pop up canopy from there store in Hammond In. with the extra ins. was told no matter what happened anything at all I could bring it back for a new one no questions asked I had this thing up 15 min. and ind blew it ripping it so I took it back they told me wasnt covered so oh well I spent 69.99 plus 9.99 for ins. what a scam going to report to BBB next I hope nobody else buys the junk the sell

NEVER WORK FOR THIS COMPANY. they say their a family oriented company. they aren't. when a family emergency came up they seen like the care but they dont. store number 9 in hamburg pa is a great example. the leads on the cashier side stand around and talk about personal issues to one another which employees got chewed out for. they treat you like crap. and what customer wants to be asked 500 times in their trip to the store about a cabelas credit card. and they tell you when you refer someone and they get hired you get a 100.00 bonus...well thats a big load of steaming horse crap. i referred someone for the firearm atf checkout counter back in march and i never saw that money. this company is a rip off and all they do is jerk you around. and i defineately dont recommend working for this company if my life was on the line.

TODAY 6-4-12 I RECIEVED A CALL FROM SOME COLLECTION AGENCY SAYING I OWN THIS MONEY AND IT IS NOW ON MY CREDIT REPORT. Take some time and read my review on RIPOFFREPORT.COM! Don't spend your hard earned money at Cabelas boat department. I spent $43999.00 for a boat thats a piece of junk! Zero help after the sale to fix the problem and Zero support from the corporate offices! I went to cabala's day after christmas and bought a gun how to thicken to the range it did not work gym after every single shot took it back to ca bella's to get fixed got it back to still didn't work so I take it back a second time when I got back from ca bella's it was working even less tok it back athird time and I told me to trade it for different gun what is the walther p 22 bought it took it to the range is that day also didn't work the store is ridiculous at least 150 dollars overpriced customer service is super rude in the wait time is rediculous

I was recently notified that I was involuntarily cancelled from membership on your on-line, Cabela’s forum because of complaints from a few members of this forum who also are the ones who harass, denigrate and make fun of American social values which I happen to treasure. They set it up so that I can not even read this public forum any longer despite this being a free country with free press and access to same. I have also been a Cabela’s customer since you had 2 stores in Nebraska. American values such as being a Christian, being a Veteran of service during Viet Nam and the values of living in a meritocracy where people do not insult others who have more education and have worked harder and perform honestly to get where they are. Apparently the Moderators on your forum are too young, too inexperienced, or not trained to be able to distinguish between honor and dishonor and have no impulse to rescue honor when it is being impugned by individuals who refuse to support moral values which have made this country great and put us where we are today. What is wrong with these people? Instead they cave into a few complaints by these same morally vacant, individuals who in fact started the trouble by making fun of patriotism, Christian religion, moral values and even living within this great country of ours. The one moderator who I am familiar with was a 19 year old Secretary in Provo, Utah and it was her first job! Her boss must be a piece of work to do that to her! It is fine when posters started a long commentary on how they hated God being associated with Christmas. This was followed by many posts about gut-shooting-deer and watching them writhe, just to offend anyone whom they had not with the Christian/Christmas remarks. I do not know what is essentially wrong with these closet cowards but I do know that they need to be challenged and there is too little conviction or courage on you site to stop them. Apparently, management support by the moderator staff agrees with these scabs? Otherwise, why would they keep supporting this immoral trailer trash when they complain about my “being mean to them” in return for the scabrous statements which they snivel at this country and every thing that it stands for continuously?
