I have been having the week from hell...but that here nor there! I decided to try to buy myself what I call affordable for me. I was browsing at Bobs and came across a Bob o Pedic matress in the Pit that was a floor model for a great price. The sales rep sold it to me and swiped my Visa with no hesitation. I went back later to pick it up and it was removed from the floor to be discarded. I was near tears and they offered me another bed...but of course for more money or a way cheaper in quality bed. Not something I could afford either way. I was NOT offered a refund but instead they found the mattress that I originally wanted outback (to be dicarded)...without a cover and said I could still take that. In between a rock and hard place and without a bed..I felt I had no choice. They did NOTHING to make their error right and I am extremely upset that I feel cheated and like I purchased their trash with no other options! I HATE BOBs furniture and suggest any place other than them. it was the WORST shopping experience I ever had. I was trying to do something to help myself feel better and now I feel 10x worse! Thanks BOBS!

Ive Had it with Bob's -You pay for the warranty to get the Furniture Fixed and it is still Not Fix 2years later.....

worst customer service ever!!!! I had a tear in my couch of only 6 months and when I tried to have it replaced they told me a month it took six months and numerous phone calls before I found out it wont be replaced due to discontinuance of that model. they offered me an exchange with a reduction of my original cost, BS. When I finally chose a new set they over charged me and want to take over a month to issue my refund!! F U Bob;'s learn customer service you suck!!!!

my name is hamid scott, last month my wife and i purchased a bedroom set from bob's store in saugus,mass.last tues jul 3th they deliver my bedroom.i had to take a day off from work to wait for the delivery.when the truck arrived he brought only the bed frame without the mattress.when i asked the driver he told me the company fogot to load it and the next delivery date is jul 10th.i called the customer care dept explaining my situation,they promiced me they will try to deliver it next day and they will get back to me in few hours.they did not call me back i had to call without success.we had to sleep on the floor,it was the worst experience i ever had.i had to call the store in saugus to complain to the manager named ben goulet.this manager was very polite and helpful,he told me i can pick up the mattress at the store,i rented a van and i pick it up on jul 07th.how come the customer care did not care except mr ben goulet,so mr bob you should have mr goulet train all your managers across the country.my purchase order was under 617 820 4219

Dont do it. After 3 attempts to get my furniture delivered I cancelled. Customer service is awful and they can't even get your furniture to the correct state.

This is the fourth time a delivery is attempted. Furniture is damaged every time. They don't care, Never, Never, Never again!!!!!!!

Bob's should use of their money to streamline their delivery process instead of using it for commercials. They ask you what time is good for you and then they schedule delivery time for whatever time if convenienct for them. I would advise anyone to spend their money and time elsewhere.

Get three different quotes for the same merchandise from a manager and salesperson. Needless to say the closer I was to giving a credit card for the purchase the higher the price went. Walked out before they wanted my first born

Last month I went to Bobs Discount Furniture in Southington CT a primarily Caucasians town and I am a Latina. I was shopping around for a coach that I had previously viewed on their website. The sale rep. that was helping me was very nice and helpful once I found the coach I decided to look at the dining room sets while he was getting my paper work ready. Well as I walked over to the dining room area with my daughter another sale rep. approached me and asked me if I needed any assistance, I gently replied I was all set and he responded, "well we take EBT cards a brother has to eat." I was so embarrassed I walked out the store and sat in my car and cried before building enough courage to go back into the store to complain to the manager who claimed I shouldn't had been offended because that's a joke he uses on a daily basis. Hmmmm.... what kind of store are you running that you would allow that. I am a Social Worker and many of my client's receive TANF for various reasons that I was stunned that people working in a business would think comments like that can be considered a joke when you never know what a person may be going through. Well I felt bad for the rep. that was helping me since he missed out on commission thanks to his coworker.

I made a purchase at Bob's Discount Furniture at a location in Hyattsville, MD. While I was pleased with the general quality of the merchandise I purchased, Bob's horrible level of customer service left much to be desired. And for that reason, I will never purchase another item at Bob's again nor would I recommend that others do either. On the day of my delivery, Bob's delivered the wrong set of lamps with a living room set I had purchased. I contacted customer care to advise of this seemingly minor issue. However, after several calls and two trips to the store, the Hyattsville store staff I've dealt with completely lacks the competence to deal with this and arrange for me to pick up two simple lamps. It's a week later and this still hasn't been resolved. If this is how they respond to a minor issue of two mis-shipped lamps, how in the world will they handle more complex issues? I spoke with a representative from the store, and this person had no idea of the name of the store manager and placed me on hold for 15 minutes to find the address to the corporate headquarters. Never have I experience such bad service in place of business where I've made such a substantial purchase--really disappointing. Now, I find no other recourse but to file a claim with the Better Business Bureau in my area, which I will be doing do as soon as I click "submit" on this.

I purchased a leather reclining chair. The leather has discolored/worn off. The technician said this is normal wear and tear. The chair is less than 1 year old. Customer service said they can not do anything. Bob's does not stand behind its merchandise. Leather should not wear after 1 year. I am completely dissatisfied with the quality of the merchandise and the way I am being handled. I will NEVER recommend Bob's. The don't care about their customers.

They are the worst ever worst.

Sad what has happened with Bobs custermer service over the years they have reached an all time low as a furniture store. it is a good thing they sell cheap stuff or I am afraid they would be out of Business. The matteress contract I signed was a joke they love to use that document when something is in there favor when it was in my favor they did not live up to there agreement to swap the mattress. Not to mention over two hours on hold got disconnected twice and got the mattress that I don't want. Please stay out of that place it is the furniture store from hell. Hugs and kisses till you buy

It’s hard to believe they’re still in business – The worst experience I’ve ever had with a purchase. They should spend less time marketing and more time on the basics of delivering the product without a cluster of mistakes. I’m on my forth attempt of a delivery of a TV chest. They show up damaged every time. On this last delivery they promised they would inspect it the night before. Well, It shows up damaged. The customer service person said it was inspected and no one from Bob’s ever called me to let me know. They just tried to deliver it damaged. I didn’t expect great furniture for the price but the basic concept of buying a produce and having it delivered is retail 101. They can’t even do that. I’ve spoke to five nice but useless people. I predict Bob’s will be out of business in two years. They just don’t get it. It’s all about service

HI, I AM SO DISSAPPOINTED...THAT I WILL COMPLAIN ON TV. I DO HAVE A SON WITH SPECIAL NEEDS, WHO IS AT THE HOSPITAL TWICE A YEAR. I BOUGHT 2 BEDS WITH THE MATTRESSES, WITH 5 YEAR WARRANTY AND THE COVERS TO PROTECT THEM. BECAUSE HIS HEALTH ISSUE HE HAS TO TAKE MEDICATION AND ONCE SPELLED ON THE BED GOING THROUGHT THE MATTRESS. I DID CALL AND NOT JUST BECAUSE THIS ISSUE..THE MATTRESS HAD 4 MONTHS OLD AND INSTEAD STAYED FLAT , THIS MATTRESS WENT UP..LIKE A BALLON ...I HAVE BEEN CALLING AND CALLING.THEY CAME TO TAKE SOME PICTURES AND THEY NEVER CAME CALLED AGAIN FOR A FOLLOW UP.I CALLED, VERY UNGRY AND I SPOKE TO A SUPERVISOR, SHE SAID THE MATTRESS HAD A STAIN (OF COURSE..MY SON IS SPECIAL NEED) THAT THEY COULD'NT DO ANYTHING, AND I SAID..EXCUSE ME "MY SON IS SPECIAL NEEDS" YOU NEED TO SEND ME A NEW MATTRESS (I COMPLAIN BECAUSE IT WENT UP..)AND NOW I AM SLEEPING IN THAT PIECE OF GARBAGE THE SOLD ME. WE SPEND $2000 CASH WITH MY HUSBAND. WE DO HAVE SEVERAL HOSPITAL EXPENSES..I ASK TO TALK TO BOB (THE DOLL ON TV THAT HE SAYS "I DO EVERYTHING I CAN TO MAKE YOU HAPPY"..RIGHT!!! It seems like everyone comes here to complain but I am guessing that bad service is what you get from here. I too bought a lot of furniture and had a broken foot board on a bedroom set, which when i put in my claim, i was given a credit because of it not being able to be repaired (2 days there) as they came out and then out again. The credit wasn't even enough to get a replacement and then of course i had to pick out a bed that didn't match...then when i reselected two times only to take more time out of work and then was told that it is was on back order...so know I am out because they are unable to find my credit because of the amount of time that has passed. I got the same thing "I am really sorry"; you aren't sorry, it is your job to screw people over...

I bought a 2000.00 sectional " carisma" and I have had problems fom the start shortly after i got it one corner of the sectional sunk in. A tech came out and re-stapled it. that held for a little while. My husband knelt on it and the very same spot collapsed again. I was also having a problem with my chaise in so much as the cusion was sagging. This time when the tech came out he added stuffing to the underside of the chase and explained that there are only springs in the back half up to the end of the arm rest and even though it is a sectional you can't sit on the area that is available because it is not ment to hold weight. It is now six months old and it is falling apart I am not satisfied. I spoke with customer service and Abby # 6904 basically told me it is not a manufactuers defect and I am out of luck. I just bought my own home and need more furniture and you can bet if this is not resolved I will never do business with this company, and will tell anyone who will listen not to do business with your company. Thanks for nothing

I bought a bedroom set from Bob's discount furniture store in Portland, Maine in 2010 and in good faith I return four dresser back to them (they came and picked it up).I returned home this year to find my DRESSER of not even three years old with splits and crack that you would maybe find in a junk yard sale. also bought a protection plan but does nothing to help you, if it's a factory concern so people please be advised that the added coverage is a sales pitch not worth anything. Beware bedroom shoppers do your homework before you shop a BOB'S discount furniture. Their customer service is sickening polite. PEOPLE THE GREATEST ADVERTISING IS BY WORD OF MOUTH... IT'S WORTH WHILE TO SPEND A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS MORE TO HAVE SOMETHING THAT LOOKS GOOD AND NOT SOMETHING THAT LOOKS LIKE ITS READY FOR THE JUNK YARD SALE.....PEOPLE CONTACT YOUR BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. IF ENOUGH people CONTACT THEM ABOUT BOB's discount furniture the light will come on.

If only there were an option for zero stars... I put money down on a bedroom suite including a new mattress, box spring and goof proof protection. I'm so glad I didn't pay it off. I went back the next week to add a rug to my order and was completely ignored by the staff. I was so upset I decided to bypass the store and order it online which I did on May 5, 2012. Three calls and 4 weeks later no rug! I finally called to cancel the order and lo and behold when I get home from work the next evening there's a rug in plastic by my side door. When I call them about this I'm told to bring the rug in to the very store I wish to avoid for a refund. After stashing the 8x10 foot rug in my little Nissan and dragging it in myself, I'm told I'll be refunded within 2-3 business days. Five business days later no rug and no money! Yet another phone call reveals that though the refund was processed, accounting had only just released the funds, so it'll be another 2-3 business days. Needless to say I won't be paying off that bedroom set. Still waiting for that refund as well. Such is business at Bobs.

I brought a couch and chase from Bob's Furniture. The fabric was very cheap. If you sit on the sofa(s) you would get an allergic reaction. After complaining, they sent a tech. Tech said the sofa(s) were in good condition, when in fact he told me he would tell them it looked worn (it looked worn in a few months). It wasn't how the sofa(s) looked, it was how the felt. Today I finally got a response that they would charge me 30% for each piece of furniture for me to get it replaced. DON'T BUY FROM BOB'S FURNITURE. Now I have to find me a lawyer!!!
