It is very clear to me that Bissell does not care about customer service; if they did they would not have outsourced it to another country. I sent in an email and received only the automatic one that states that they have receive the email and that they need 48 hours to respond back. One week called the 800 and ordered 2 parts, but the rep only entered one part number so I had to call back and the next rep did not believe me until I told her to pull the call. She finally ordered the part. If they had listed all the part that I needed on line then I would not have to call the customer service. I will never buy Bissell again because I do not want to deal with their customer service reps!

Bought a bissell vacuum and 8 months later it died, talked to some smart ass from India and he said basically i was out of luck, even though it had a yr. guarantee.BUY A HOOVER..

I spoke with 3 customer service reps at Bissell last evening. They all played games. None listened to what I was saying. They kept answering questions I hadn't asked. It appeared they were all talking to impress someone with how much information they know - there must have been someone in their presence. Maybe if any of them would have listened they would have had the answer to the one question I was asking. When the first woman rep acted like this I ended the call and called back. The second woman rep behaved in the same manner. I kept asking to speak with a supervisor. She said, "she" (her supervisor) was on the other line - I said I would wait. Then a male came on the line who said, "I'm so and so supervisor. I thought she said her supervisor was a "she?" The male spoke very unprofessional. I did not believe he was a supervisor but just another co-worker/rep, so I ended that call also.

Bissell Steam & Sweep Hard Floor Cleaner Don't buy it - all it does is leave puddles of water on your floors - it's not steam it's water puddles, you'll need a mop and bucket to clean up the mess once you have tried to use this unit. It also leaves a sticky residue. The sweeper part has no power and has a small collection bin - which needs emptied several times. To make matters worse you're stuck with it - or you can take it for service - but they won't take it back

I was given a Bissell Steam Mop for Christmas, 2009. I used the machine maybe a dozen times over a 6 month period when all of a sudden it started making a horrible grinding sound and stopped producing steam. I called the customer service number and after waiting forever on hold finally got a live person. Only then did i realize that I would, at their request, have to take the machine apart in what they called 'trouble shooting techniques'. Long story short, they finally agreed to send me a new machine. I received the machine in July...now fast forward to November (4 short months later) and you guessed it...the exact same thing happens. SO, I called customer service AGAIN, have to go through the same dismantling steps again. This time, they called my integrity into question by stating that 'it seems very strange that a new machine would have the exact same issue'. I agreed and asked for either a different machine or my money back. Neither was 'acceptable' to them. Bissell's only offer was to pick the machine up and have their 'experts' examine it. If the machine was infact defective they will provide me with a replacement of the SAME machine; otherwise the machine will be returned in the condition it was received. How insulting! Like I have time to damage a machine in an attempt to get another one. Come on!

I purchased the Bissell powerlifter about 6,7 months ago used it 3 or 4 times. last week I pulled it out and it went on for a second and shocked me and shut off.I called Bissell explained what had happened the lady I spoke to at customer service said no problem,bring it to the repair on St.clair and you will get another one. well it didnt happen that way .I just got the run around over and over again even from a supervisor .I feel the Customer service I recieved was so unprofessional.I will never buy anything from Bissell again .

I purchased the Bissell the ProHeat 2x's about a 1 1/2 yrs ago used it maybe 4 times. It now doesn't work. The local vacuum repair man won't repair the Bissell Proheat any longer cause they keep breaking after the repairs are made and the customers think it's his fault so he just won't repair them. So now I'm stuck with steam cleaner that doesn't work and the closet repair service is over an hour away. So isn't this a great product and great customer service. I feel I have wasted my money and will not recommend the Bissell ProHeat.
