My family and I recently stayed for 3 days at the Best Western Huntington Beach and it was the worst. First, we had an incident when we went to take a shower and pulled one of the folded towels down and there was a streak of feces on the towel! We called the front desk for a manager, who wasn't in, and several hrs later we got a call back and showed them the towel. Next, we went down for breakfast and the entire maintenance staff of 4 men and 3 of the maids were having breakfast in the already small room and we had to wait for everything until they were finished. Next day, we found a spot of blood around the toilet when they had just finished cleaning the room. When I went to check out, they tried to charge another $100 for smoking on the deck and none of us smoke and we had a small 2 month old baby with us. I have traveled around the world and extensively to California and third world countries have better service. Never stay again at this Best Western!!

I was at the Best Western in Irving Texas and I am very upset at how they treated me and my husband they went threw my suitcaces and took a towel out of there that I had wraped a private female thing and the housekeeper who done my room got into my suitecase and pull it out and left it on the floor ..(douche bag) How very embrassed I was to see that in the midle of the floor..I let it go and me and my husband went down to go swimming and he slip and fell on the slick ground so I went to go to housekeeping to ask for a first aid kit and they were laughing at me and Talking about me in spanish but what they didn't know I know spanish..how do you treat people that way..I fixed my husbands foot and went to the front desk and told them what happened they did nothing.. my husband woke up the next morning and his foot was brusised and swollen I told him to report this and tell them he wanted to go to the hospitial they took him to a clinic and they wrap his foot snd told hi he had a broken toe it was all black and blue well I ended up paying for the doctor they WOULD'NT DO NOTHING TO HELP US AND I KNOW WORKING IN A HOTEL THEY HAVE INSURANCE FOR THIS KIND OF MATTER I ASM VERY UPSET AT HOW U TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS

I will never ever stay at a Best Western again. We stayed at the one in Katy, Texas and our son's room was robbed. We were there for our granddaughter's graduation. While we should of been getting ready, taking pictures and all very happy, we were all scrambling to help my son, DIL, and granddaughter with calling the police to file a complaint, drive my granddaughter to her graduation d/t her parents were busy with the police and,in our opinion,RUDE staff at the desk. It was not until after we got home that we got an email from the manager sending somewhat of an apology but let it be known that the hotel was not responsible for all the missing items. WHY SHOULDN'T WE EXPECT FOR OUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS TO BE LEFT ALONE IN OUR SUITCASES!!!! We paid good money for rooms and expected all our belongings to be left alone. For your non caring, non compassionate attitude, in our opinion, you have lost yet another customer. To treat a veteran like this is a disgrace!!! Without our Veteran's you sure wouldn't have your hotel chain in this wonderful FREE country. Thanks to all our VETERANS and hope another veteran doesn't have to go threw terrible treatment like this!

We stayed at the Best Western in Escanaba, Michigan a week ago. The girls at the front desk were very helpful and nice. The room was fine.....but, the BEST part of the stay was the wonderful gal you have working in your bar area. That gal was the bartender, waitress, cleaner, pizza cook, server...etc. And she was amazing!! Super sweet and helpful as the poor girl was running the WHOLE place by herself. And mind you, it was full of people. The breakfast was great! Never had such a nice comp. breakfast at a hotel before. And the guy running that was super helpful too. Some one is doing a great job hiring these people and training them in. Please make sure they get the "praise" they all deserve!!

My husband and I stayed at your Motel in Elk City, Ok. The moment I walked in it smelled horrible. Like dirty clothes and mildew. The refrigerator did not work. The television would automatically turn itself off. You could not turn channels unless you turned off the television and turned it back on. The radio would turn itself on. There were bugs in the light fixtures. I dropped my glasses behind the nightstand and was disgusted to see the amount of trash and dirt behind it. The mattresses were so old they were lumpy. I was so glad to get out of there the next day. I will never stay at another "Worst" Western Motel ever ever again!! From the looks of all the complaints you obviously do not care. We left there and got another motel room in an adjoining town. It was clean, smelled good, everything worked properly, even had features YOUR motel did not have. Every time I will ever see an advertisement or pass one of your motels.. I will cringe. Wish I could give 0 stars, too. I would!! Anyone reading this...SAVE YOUR MONEY, DO NOT STAY AT ANY OF THESE SMELLY, INFESTED, DUMPS.

Stayed at the Best Western Executive Inn in Marshall, Texas on 19 May 2011. Worst motel I have experienced in some time. There were a half dozen bottle caps, several Q-tips, toothpicks & scraps of paper between the bed & an end table. No bath mat was provided & I had to get one from desk clerk. There was a 1/2 used shampoo bottle in the bathroom & no conditioner or skin lotion was provided. There was one envelope of decaf coffee but no regular. It was apparent that the carpet had not been vacuumed. I called these discrepancies to the attention of the desk clerk and she told me that there was nothing she could do about it but that she would call my complaints to the attention of the manager. She also advised that the manager would call me when he arrived at work. I have yet to hear from him. On my return trip, I found another motel at a lesser price with absolutely no discrepancies.

I stayed at a Best Western in Mn. We were going to Mayo clinic. The hotel was good, the rooms were clean and comfertable, etc. Most of the hotl staff were fantastic !!!! Only problem is that 2 of their male desk staff fell and think they know more than the Mayo doctor's as to what type of transpertaion a person needs. So if your going to Mayo's and stay there ,please make sure your treated right.... We found another hotel and stayed their. Whats bad is a relative of mine founded Best Western and this wouldn't be accepted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to register a complaint regarding my stay at Best Western Spanish Quarters Inn, 6 Castillo Drive, Saint Augustine, Fl 32084. We stopped at this Best Western because we stayed at Best Western Plus 412 West Bay St. Savannah, Ga on 5/15/11-5/17/11. The room was clean, large bathroom, lovely decor, easy parking. A wonderful stay. Not at all like Saint Augustine. Dirty, tiny bathroom without grab bars, I slipped and had to hang onto the shower curtin. Old furniture, lumpy beds, A TV from the 1990's. Awful. And the parking was horrible. Not enough room to easily park your car. Based on this last expereience I would not stay at again or recommend a Best Western to anyone. It's seems to be a crap shoot what kind of a room you are going to get. The price at the Savannah hotel was cheaper than at the Saint Augustine hotel. A real rip off. At the conclusion of our recent stay at the Friday Harbour Best Western, leaving 5/23/11, we were given a card requesting feedback via the internet. Attempting that over your website is impossible because your questioneer simply is not working. so herein lies my evaluation. Very little water pressure in the shower. Extremely cheap plumbing valves, toilets, and wash basins. Very small vanity with no room for personal items. Though this is a fairly new structure, the quality of doors and trim is real cheap. When other tennants leave in the morning the whole room shakes when they close the door. Architecture outside is very good, but inside the hallways are a joke-----they look like they were designed by a drunken sailor. There is no safety bar in the tub/shower. I thought this was a federal requirement. There is also nowhere to put anything in the oversized bathroom. The employees were friendly and helpful, but obviously need more training. The breakfast in the morning was pathetic and of poor quality. There is a restaurant on the premisis; why the heck don't they use it; prepare decent meals and charge for it. Not everyone is looking for something for nothing. This business has great potential as a quality destination. In fact they are already charging for it,but there needs much more to be done. Start with sound proofing and complete bathroom remodel. Reinforce the stairs in the lobby---they squeek. Bottom line, would I stay there again? Sure, its the best in Friday Harbour.

Too bad I didnt read these reviews before I stayed at historic POW WOW INN on rte 66 in tucumcari n.m. So bad no one else was staying there, should have drove away. But like most people had reserved in advance and would be charged if not cancelled 24 hrs in advance.Wont make same mistake again..So filthy we wouldnt take shower there..bed sheets were clean though.Had hard time with air conditioner dirt from outside was blowing into room...... SHAME ON BEST WESTERN...ANOTHER CUSTOMER LOST

My friends and I planned a bridal shower at the BW in Orofino ID. After a nice dinner, we took my friend's daughter to the indoor pool and quietly sat at a table with a beverage in a paper cup. We were there for an hour again, quietly when in walks in a man who explained that we cannot have drinks in the pool area. We apologized for not seeing the sign on the door and said we would be leaving in a few minutes when the child got out of the pool. At this time, things were friendly until I asked him to sign the bride's tshirt and he responded, "i don't have time for that" in a very rude way. He then sat at our table and told us we had to get out of the pool area "NOW"!!! Now, I am 48 and my friend is in her 30's, I felt like I was 8 years old and dad was giving me a scolding. We then asked his name and he said "Paul, the owner". We asked his last name and he said, "none of your business". Really??? Is that the way you treat good paying customers in front of a small child who are not doing anything but enjoying each other's company?? We immedately checked out (10 pm) and went to another hotel. The manager called and apologized for the treatment (desk clerk witnessed it), and said we were welcome back anytime. NEVER. In fact I have friends pulling their wedding reception from there. Unfortunately, it's the best game in town and with an owner with an inflated ego and no class or knowledge of customer service, he probably does not care. BW should get rid of him!!!

I stayed at the best Western in Brooklyn, NY on Atlantic ave. I left my coat in the room when I checked out. I called and they told me to call back in 15 minutes. I decided to drive since I wasnt that far away. No other guest had checked in the room and the staff said they never saw the coat. I'm appalled that the staff could not explain where my jacket was even though the room had not been rented out. The front desk even laughed at one point until I told them that it was not a laughing matter. They suggested I leave my number and they would call me if they "found" it even though they all insisted they didnt see it. I'm discusted that the housekeeping staff would take my coat. I even said if there was money in the coat they could keep it I just wanted my coat back. Low Class Staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People please dont make the mistake of leaving anything when you check out.

WoW! My wife booked the room online, the suite in Concord, CA for several days as we are temporarily displaced while our house is undergoing some remodeling. We stayed in a downstairs unit, which had cockroaches. The internet connection was tempermental and worked for 5 minutes at a time. She called the front desk to ask about the internet and alert them they had roaches scurrying about the kitchenette. The next day passed by, the manager was never available in the front whenever she went up there, nor did the mgr. call us with a solution. Second night, my wife calls for some toilet paper it took two more days to get some toilet paper and switched to a different room (smoking mind you not our preference)upstairs. All the while from the first night my wife's feet and legs started to swell to the point she had to be taken to local e.r. Causes remain unknown while she continues to swell up so bad she cant stand up or put any pressure on her feet. After we had been staying here for almost two weeks on a rainy, saturday night my wife returned to the room to find the security guard in the doorway telling me that there had been several complaints that I (who was there alone, laying in bed, watching tv) was making too much noise. It became even more absurd when the girl from the front desk called to scold and threaten me. Ok I promised to be more quiet. I stayed laying in bed and my wife at the desk with her feet propped up on the 2nd chair and a couple of hours later, the same scenario with the security guard and the front desk call. It was ridiculous and my wife attributed it to the fact that she had given high marks on the priceline survey, even though the manager never once contacted us about the cockroaches from the first room, nor did I ever see an exterminator come to the property. I work nights so about midnight I got showered and dressed for work, and left. When I was pulling out of the parking lot apparently the security guard went upstairs and told my wife we were being evicted, for her to pack our belongings and leave instantly. It was pouring down rain in the middle of the night and I just left in our only car. He unsympathetically told her to call a cab and get out or he was calling the police, all for noise we weren't even making. In the two weeks we've been here, we haven't had any complaints and didnt compalin ourselves so much as notify about their roach problem. My wife was incredulous and asked him why they didn't move the people below us or even move us. Shouldn't us having been there for two weeks had some bearing over some lunatics who just arrived that day. My wife burst into tears as she showed the guard her feet and legs stating that she can barely walk let alone walk in the rain with nowhere to go with our belongings in the middle of the night. He begrudgingly called the front desk and explained her health condition which anyone with a heart would be compassionate towards. I will never stay here again once I leave here tomorrow. I looked past the manager not giving a shit about roach contamination, buying my own toilet paper, the internet working when it wants to, but telling my wife to get out on the spot in the rain in the middle of the night for unfounded and ridiculous accusations of noise that just wasn't being made is the last straw for me. This will be my first of many bombardments for recognition of unfair treatment at the very least.

We stayed in Oregon City for one night. A folder $50 bill fell out of my pocket and the girls called me to see if that was a tip or 'lost money', then they mailed it to me. They were lovely young ladies, I wish I'd asked their names.

I cancelled our rooms in Coralville, Iowa. They charged me anyway. My husband heard me cancel them over the phone. Someone working the desk did not want to get in trouble for her mistake so she lied. I will never stay at a Best Western again. These people have no character.

My husband & I stayed at the Best Western Motel in Lewisport, Ky. on April 16 & 17 and I woke up on Monday morning with bites on my hands and then there were bites on my elbow, back, leg and shoulder. The bites on my hands had blisters on them. The doctor said they were insect bites. The people at the motel said no one had ever said anything about getting bites but I heard later that others have been bitten. So please check up on the motel that is in Lewisport,Ky. It is called the Hancock Inn.

I am guest in room 401 and am very unsatisfied with the service of the front desk agents Heidi, Deborah and the African American female that works the audit (whom didn't have a name tag) have ruined the outlook of your property. It all started when I checked into 411 with Heidi. She didn't smile and gave me a hard time about employee letter so I had one faxed. I went to my room and a huge roach crawled up the wall as soon as I walked in. I went down to front desk and Heidi explained that they don't usually have the problems but they sometimes get Jamaicans that stay. That to me was racist and stereotypical of her to say. I had to ask her to move me and send maintenance man Sam to kill roach. Sam killed the roach with his hand and asked me if I wanted him to take to the front desk! I asked him to please flush it! I was discussed. I had to call down to the front desk the next day and ask the managed for a discount off my first two nights! Then the girl in the audit was very sarcastic and unhelpful. I ask her about the clubs in south beach and all her replies were with a frank laugh and sarcasm as if I was ignorant for asking and really I am just new to the state. I was scared to ask for anything from any of those front desk agents they were RUDE! the next day I needed a duplicate key to my room and Deborah was working. She had the phone pasted and glued to her ear as she assisted me and spoke on a personal call! She was so rapped up in her phone call she forgot the hand me the extra  parking pass she wrote out for me. I walked away and told my friend she wouldn't even get off the phone to help me and Deborah heard me and  yelled "EXUSE ME"! the other guest heard her and she clearly wanted to argue but I won't partake in unprofessionalism! This was the WORST hotel experience of my life! I am very disappointed being that you are considered a best western PLUS! and I am and have been a front desk representative for 7 years I am NOT impressed with your employees or your property and I will be filling out a survey due to the continuous disappointments of your hotel and staff. DONT STAY AT BESTWESTERN WINDSLOR INN 12210 biscayne blvd Miami Florida!

Victor C Cox Best Western Corporate Office | Headquarters 6201 N. 24th Parkway Phoenix, AZ 85016 (602)957-4200 Date : April 19, 2011 Re: Hotel Rooms, Grounds, and Customer Assistance/Front Desk On 04/14/2011 at 9:14 pm, I reserved and received confirmation that I had a room with two beds at Best Western Sea Wake Beach Resort at 691 South Gulfview Blvd. Clearwater, FL 33767. Reservation#R28130282 for 04/16/2011. This was bought and paid upfront. When we arrived we checked in with Nicole at the front desk at approx 11:45 am. Rooms were not available to check into until 4pm. We decided to dine at the Best Western Sea Wake Beach Resort for lunch and hang out on the beach until check in. At approx 3 pm we were able to check in as a room became available at that time. By this time there were several people in the lobby outraged due to the overbooking at the hotel. We checked in and went up to the room to only find one bed. We had to have two beds and that is what we ordered online. If we couldn’t get two beds at this hotel we would have went somewhere else. We went downstairs to talk to the front desk clerk Nicole. She had a couple in front of us from Germany with the same exact problem as us. She stated it was our fault the room is not guaranteed. There was nothing she could do. We showed her we could go online and book and it still showed availability. The sign out front showed availability??? She just said okay. So we spent TWO hours of our vacation time which we rarely get walking up and down there area to find a hotel. When we found one we went back to the hotel to get our stuff and leave. There were several people in the lobby with ant issues in the room. Nicole offered to spray one room while the man’s wife was sleeping? That is cause for a huge illness spraying for ants while someone is in the room? We went to gather our bags from the room and found ants in the bathroom, on the bed (pictures attached). There are also OSHA violations and severe tripping hazards outside. Fence falling, pvc pipes running above ground is a tripping hazard, unlevel concrete walkway and step area that we had tripped down (pics also attached). The response from your associate Nicole with the ants, the hazards on the beach and pool area were “Okay”. She then proceeded to state well you paid and there is nothing you can do. Well we did. We went down to North Shore and although it wasn’t a new hotel there was a gracious front desk clerk to get us in and make sure we were comfortable during our stay. We have been to your hotel in Clearwater multiple times and stayed at your hotels for years. This was absolutely HORRIBLE. It took valuable time and effort to find a place to stay when we already thought we had done so. The staff was not helpful whatsoever and she was actually rude to us and to others. She stated no manager was onsite and we were basically screwed. This was a horrible weekend!!! We will be taking further measures and this could potentially end our stays at your hotel when we go to Clearwater as well as all the other parties we bring along. We always eat, sleep, and relax at your hotel and this time it was nothing close to relaxing. I would appreciate a response by May 9th, 2011. Thereafter I will be forwarding all the photos, and a copy of this letter to everyone that we travel with and make sure they see what we went through as well as utilizing facebook and twitter. Thank you for taking action. In this economy we cannot afford to take advantage of customers who pay for a service and get treated like dirt. There are other places that appreciate their customers and take care of them. Regards, Victor C Cox c.c. The only reason this is getting 1 star is because the house keeping staff were very friendly. I called and made reservations for 1 room with 2 adults and a pet( a $20 fee) and 1 room with one adult with a child(for two nights). The girl I was talking to asked if I wanted to put both rooms under the same name and I said yes go ahead because we will be paying cash seperatley when we get there so it doesn't matter whose name it is under. When we broke down on our trip I called the motel to let them know that we were still 200 miles away and that we would have a very late check in and I just wanted to make sure that the rooms were not canceled, she said" Yes they are still reserved for you and Thank you for calling". We finally arrive after midnight and are told that without a credit card they will not rent the room to me. After asking at least three times to speak to a manager the desk clerk called someone on the phone and then hung up and said she said the same thing. I asked that I either get to talk to a manager by phone or have one come there he called her back and put her on the phone with me. She informs me that Jason can not accept cash with out Managers approval and that she is just a desk clerk herself. (Lie number one he was supposedly talking to a manager). Because there were no other rooms available in town my son and 8 month old grandson stayed there using his debit card. The next morning I went to the office in hopes of talking to a manager and low and behold if it is not the desk clerk I spook to on the phone the night before, Donna. (Lie number Two she says she can not get a hold of the manager.) I told her that I had no doubt that she could get a hold of that manager or someone else. All she could say in a very hateful attitude was that is our Policy. I later get a phone call from the front desk saying she spoke to the manager and they can't do anything. Again another phone call and she says that she has found a room for me elsewhere that will take my cash,as if I am going to trust her that it is not going to be a horrible place. I called and talked to the Corporate office when I got home about all this we will see if I am right along with every one else that has posted here THEY DON"T CARE. Oh and by the way when my son went to the office to check out after the second night they canceled the chg on his debit card and took his cash. We travel a lot and have had some problems along the way but never had to sleep in our vehicle because they wouldn't take our cash. Best Western Plus Mark Manor,Weatherford,OK. If you are going to check in after 9pm you need to let them know that when you make your reservation also because they will cancel it. I guess everyone is supposed to know what their policies are without being told, but if you don't know their policies DO NOT expect for them to bend at all.
