the mrs and i have brought a few boats in our life time. we shopped for well over a year trying to find the right boat for all our fishing needs and found what we were looking for at tracker boats of bass pro shop. this boat purchase was the largest to date. bass pro called said the boat was ready, however the rod holders were not in and are on order. as part of the purchase we opted for 5000 dollars of options, wanted to add a bass pro shop bimini top only to be talked out the purchase by our sales rep, said they we to expensive, that i could find one on line. i wish i had suck to my guns and purchased a bimini top. there are so many on line you do not know which one to buy. the day we showed up to pick our boat there were so many things missing, boat was dirty, and no one greeted us at the service bay. we gave them a week to get everything ready, went home disappointed. the second time we showed up, the mrs asked me to keep my mouth shut, i did. we picked up the boat, still dirty, not happy, have written several bad reviews, i, jim, being in honda car sales, will not say anything good about the bass pro shop here in savannah ga. the day we took out the boat and took it home i had to make several adjustment to parts to the boat, which leads me to beleive that none of the boat are tryed and tested befor the customer picks them up, that experiance tells them that if they rig a boat a certain way that every will work as is should, not the case. everyone at work wanted to see the new boat, the co-works commented how dirty the boat was and asked how we could spend that much money and not get a clean boat. i have complained to tracker thru a survey that no one has contact me on my purchase and two days later someone did call the two of us. some of the manuals that we received are not the right manuals, i had to go on line to get the right manuals. we went buy bass pro shop and let them know we are having problems with the boat, said they would contact their sevice center to make a appointment for us to get it fixed, no phone call. the boat we purchased is a mako inshore 2201 bay boat, spent more than we should have spent. one month later, wish we had brought another brand, the baoat is a good boat, the mer 200 opt max is a good motor, now when we visit the bass pro store, it feels different, we feel out of place. the down side to all this, they are the only full service store for fishing needs and we will need a lot of tackel, fishing supplies, and camping supplies. we will do everything we can to keep from going into the pro shop, shop on line, and other places. jim and betty fretwell of savannah ga.

I paid $23,000 + on a new 18ft Tahoe. From day one when we went to pick the boat up it was the wrong Boat. We ordered one with a bimini top and this one did not have one. They said they would order one and put it on for us. We got a boat that had been sitting their for months (6) with everyone and their mom getting on and off of it and they added the bimini later. (5weeks) I had to take my trailer in to get the lights tighten the same month. They fell off on the way to the lake right after i picked the trailer up from them. This year I take the boat in because my bimini top pole came apart from the sleeve and lights had fallin off the trailer (again..3rd 0r 4th time)The guy calls me the next day and tells me i can pick up my boat (9:00am) I go to pick it up at 3:ooPm and checked to see if it had been repaired. One of the lights were literally hanging down with no bolt on it and the bimini pole was EXACTLY the same. When i pointed it out to the service manager he quickly put a bolt on the light and told me they would drill a hole through the bimini pole and put a screw in it to hold it in place. I said "is that how you always fix them?" He said it was. I said "what about the other side it looks nothing like this side?" He replied "oh we'll drill a hole in that one too" These guys are idiots. I took pictures and plan to have a local TV news station shed a little light on the practices here at the Broken Arrow OK Bass Pro Shop. When I told him the repair was unacceptable thats when he said he would order a new part. I could go on and on....I wish I could take the dam thing back and buy a boat from somewhere else. Worst customer service I've ever had. When your there you can even hear other customers complaining about service. Horrible!!!!

I live in Denham Springs, Louisiana. This is our favorite store to shop at. When I got down on my luck and needed a job of course I'm going to apply there. I filled out my appl. Online and I got a call to come in for an interview. Well the manager gave me an assessment test that they always say doesn't matter there's no wrong or right answer. Well she told me I did very well on it. So then I had to speak to another manager about being hired and she said that she wanted me and couldn't wait for me to start. She said go home and we will call you for another interview. When they never called me, I showed up in person to check on my appl. When I seen one manager and talked to her about appl. She said that I had to talk to the first manager and it was her decision on the matter. Now I've been waiting a month on them and I call the manager in the office for a recheck on my appl and now she tells me that it's the other managers decision to hire me. I told that I already talked to her and she gave me your name. All I got from her was, what's your name and if I want to hire you then I will call you today. This gets me so mad. Don't tell people that you want them and then beat around the bush when it's time. I think I was treated unfairly and I tell all my friends not to go anymore as well as them loosing me as a customer and possible good employee for the company.

I would appreciate it if this would be forwarded to management as I am sending a letter to corporate as well. My wife myself and our boys went to Dicks sporting goods in search of a seat for a my kayak, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that there was a Bass Pro next door as I needed a bunch of fish gear.. Dicks did not have the seat I wanted in stock but told me they could order it for me, I told them not to worry about it I was sure Bass Pro had one. We walked over to Bass Pro and was immediately by how clean and nice the store was, my boys thought it was awesome and we were trying to look around when a very high pressure lady wanting us to look at an Orlando trip began to try and "sell" me. I was not interested and I politely told her this. 2 minutes later she is pressuring my wife, actually following her around. I found this to be extremely rude. We could not even walk past her with out her asking us if we have reconsidered. Reconsidered what? We were very clear we were not interested. Really hate high pressure sales!!! My wife was so uncomfortable she walked up front and waited on me to leave. Needless to say, I only ended up getting some fishing line and 4 weights. Not any of the gear I wanted. ............Oh yea, the kayak seat I came in for was 30.00 higher than Dicks and 10.00 higher than West Marine. Nice store, but come on Bass Pro you can do better.

AFTER BEEN A LOYAL FAN OF THE BIGGEST OUTDOORS STORE IN THE WORLD, IM TELLING NOW THAT MY AND MY FAMILY WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN FROM BASSPROSHOP, THEY ARE THE BIGGEST OUTDOORS LIARS AND THE WORTS IN COSTUMER CARE, I WOULD LIE FOR ANYONE TO REPLY AND I WOULD TELL THEM WHY, LIARS LIARS LIARS

THEY NEED TO HIRE BETTER BOAT MENCHANICS THAT KNOW HOW TO DO THERE JOB SO CUSTOMERS DONT HAVE TO COME BACK AND SHOW THEM HOW TO DO THERE JOBS

I wanted to trade my Tracker Marine Bass Boat in for a Nitro Z6. One dealer that sold Tracker products offered me $9000. Cabela's in KC offered me $8500. What did BassPro offer in Springfield, MO......$7000. $7000 for one of their own products and Cabelas offer $8500. BassPro should hide their heads in shame. I'll use my BassPro credit card to gather points, but to get those points, I'll spend at Cabela's and Gander Mountain, and use the BassPro points to get free gear. So screw you BassPro, just like you screw your customers.

Corporate should look into the actions of a manager at the Hampton bass pro shop.

3/3/11...The Redneck Lure and Bottle Cap Lure are the same. It's the inventor that went bankrupt trying to create publicity. The product can be easily made by anybody. There is no patent and no legal teams...The lure only works if there is bait in it. What a waste of money...Bass Pro Shops have a much better selection...that really works!!

The Pro Bass shop in Gurnee Mills, Gurnee IL has customers complete a card to win a free vacation.Since I trusted Pro Bass I completed the card. That was a BIG mistake! Instead of winning a free vacation I'm getting harassing calls at least twice a day from people out of India. They won't stop calling and harassing me. Why is Pro Bass shop allowing these people in their stores? I'm being harassed by these people night and day. It's 9:05 p.m. and I just got a call from a Bob Dale from this so called "trip" company. He's got a heavy Indian accent. This company is located at 1425 Tri State Parkway #130, in Gurnee IL. I've asked him and his associates to stop calling me and harassing me. Now I'm going to go to the Gurnee Police Department and filing charges for harassment.

Last July (2010) I won a guided bass fishing trip with the local pro. At first I was given the opportunity to either have the runner up prize ( a Brinkmann grill with fold away legs for easy transport or the trip). So I decided that the guided trip would be favorable seeing as how most of my life I have been told that he or she would take me on a boat fishing and never followed up with their promise. So I looked forward to doing this and my birthday is the 13 of July so it would be a nice present to be fishing and learning some new tricks from a boat with a pro. The day came to go fishing and we went, but Michelle Armstrong (local bps pro) took me out and we fished for half a day and she promised me that we would go back out again that fall for the rest of the day trip. This was because the lake (Lake Norman) was turning over and the fish where not very active. I dont think we where further than a mile from the dock either. Not that I dont think fishing close to where you put in isnt good fishing but I figured we would fish a few creeks or deep coves nearby , but we didnt. So I text her in the fall and she didnt even know who I was, so after enlightening her of who I was she told me she would contact me back when she figured out her schedule to go again. She never called!!! In December I was at another preferred members event and asked the coordinator why I havent heard from her and if she could do anything in the way of getting this straightened out for me. Once again nothing, no call or email. So I called the Corporate Office in Springfield and got a costumer service rep to send an email to the right persons that might be able to handle my situation. This was last weekend the first in April. To no avail I havent heard from corporate yet!!! You would think that a company that prides its self on the outdoors would be foremost in keeping its word to an award winner from a preferred members giveaway. I guess it goes to show that it doesnt matter who it is, you can not depend on someones word when it comes to them doing something for nothing. Needless to say I should have taken the grill. At least I wouldnt be disappointed in me not using it. Still waiting to hear from corporate!!!

Up until a couple of months ago our Bass Pro shopping and dinning has been excellent, but on our last trip. We had to return and item with a defective part and since the store was out of the item they gave us a gift card so when the new shipment came in we could get the item, we were told customer service would call and let us know when the item was in the store that was 2 months ago. On the same day we visited the restaurant. We were surprised it had changed from the Key West venue to Uncle Bucks. Hamburger and fry places and a dime a dozen and minuet choices were limited. The Hostess was rude in her attitude and when we were seated the waitress took 10 minuets to bring our coffee which turned out to be tea, the excuses we got was someone had used the coffee urn to make tea, after waiting additional 10 minuets for our coffee and our food order we left. I hope on our next visit to Bass Pro things will be different, and they will return to the Key West Restaurant

I haden,t shopped at Bass Pro for several months so they voided out my Rewards points. It wasnt a lot but that pisses me off, so to hell with them. Cabalas' has better sales anyway, and they have never voided my points. Cabalas' points just accumulate until you are ready to use them. Cabalas' has just got more of my business.

Word has it we are getting a BASS PRO SHOP in Asheville NC truth or rumor...

Why bother sending a review. Who at the headquarters reads it. I have been trying to reach the service manager at the Bolingbrook, Ilinois location with no response. 2-E-mails and a phone call. I thought I was being pro-active to call for an appointment to service my Mercury. (which by the way was purchased from Bass Pro and never has run properly). Can't understand how they look at themselves in the mirror at corporate.

My husband and I will never shop at Bass Pro Shop in St. Charles, Missouri, due to their continued 'bait and switch' tactics on ads. He (again) was at the opening of the store on 3-11-11 to buy the advertised fly fishing line on sale. 5 other fishermen were present. None got the advertised line. When my husband queried the store manager about this, he was told that what they had was 'what they had' and no rain checks would be issued for missing sale items. This is not the first time Bass Pro has had false advertising in the St. Louis area. They will lose marketshare from others who live in the Show Me State with these tactics. Let's all go to Cabelas or Academy or online suppliers and give the folks at Bass Pro what they richly deserve.

Im an employee at a Bass Pro Shop and all I can say is that they should get someone from a union or OSHA in here due to mismanagement and unfair treatment to employees. people quit buying from them! Bass Pro has a mark up of 40% on their merchandise and it is all imported nothing is American made, so many complaints from customers on a daily it is disheartening. I have now even started to tell people to shop at other places when they are looking for something. And the store managers are the worst, it's amazing how you give someone with nothing else going for them a little power and they become the rudest people ever. Avoid Atlanta and Macon definitely!

I am getting tired of emails and phone calls asking if The Original Bottle Cap Lure AKA The Redneck Lure is available at BASSPRO Shops. They do end up ordering directly through the bottlecaplure.com website though. They Product may be available through Cabelas soon though.

How in the hell do you get Bass pro Shop to STOP sending their catalogs. I'm getting one a week and it just makes for more trash at the curb. If I want to buy from Bass pro I'll go to one of their stores but these catalogs have to stop.
