Barclay's Bank of Delaware (US Airways MC) the worst credit card I have EVER delt with.Barclays in not only the most incompetent Bank I have ever delt with, it is the worst business I have ever experienced. They Lie, and clearly don't understand English, I guess. I have been trying to cancel my paid off credit card since Feb 2011. It renewed in Jan 1,2011 and I was charged $79.00 to re-enroll,(annual fee)how nice they are charging me to use their card and to charge me intrest on top of it. I signed up on USAir-Ways Airlines MC with and only because of the promise to get bonus points enough to be able to receive a airline ticket enough to go to Hawaii after the first purchase,LIAR'S!! I have never had to pay to use a credit card before in my life, by the way I never got our bonus points from joining on the air plane the day I flew.After having this aweful co. for one year, I called to cancel, I was told I could not cancel in Feb.1,2011 I had to cancel Dec.30,2010 within 63 days, well that was within 63days, I spoke to some Girl with broken English ,she says her name is Elyss ID# TPMSTE on 2/7/11 and in 3/3/11 & again in 4/2/11 spoke to ID# FPARPN if these are true ID#'S and all she kept saying is I'm so sorry I can not help you,I asked for a supervisor she said she is the only one and she is a supervisor,RIGHT!! in this Whole Big Co RIGHT!!I asked for the cooperate Bank tel number, she said they don't have a telephone,YA! I called numerous times and some how I kept getting an office from the Philippines, The last time I called I kept her on the phone for about one hour and My husband called on another phone and did get an English speaking girl she says her name is Megan ID #OSCMAR and she was finally able to help me, so she says. All for $79.00 enrollment fee. We will see!I still intend to call Cooperate office on Monday tel# is 302 622 8990 if anyone needs it. So BE AWARE!!!! Don't trust any of their advertising or special promotions. From Barclays US Airways Master Card they are CROOKS!!!

Our account was transferred by MNBA to Barclays and later from Barclays to yet another account. None of our payments to Barclays can be accounted for. It is over $3000.00 dollars. The account is now with Bank of America who is saying that our account is in the arrears for that amount and has reported this to the three credit bureaus. We are at a loss as to what to do since this dates back to 2006 and I don't have the statements to prove this has been paid. If anyone can advise us, we will be very happy. HELP!

Back in 2008 i CLOSED my account.. and currently it still says it's open with a huge balance due!! wtf!!

I signed up for a credit card with the promise of receiving 8 A+ credits, good for a one way ticket to any destination. OMG the trouble I have had trying to track down these missing credits. Both Barclay & Air Tran claim it is the other one's responsibility. I am continuously transfered from one person to the other. What has happend to taking ownership? In my job someone has to take ownership! The last representitave has now opened a case for my case because there is no supervisor to handle my immediate problem. This has been an ongoing problem for 5 weeks. I will go back to my Bank of America credit card that has people who care about a customer. BEWARE............... I will make it my mission to warn all who may be in airports thinking this may be a good way to make a vacation a possibility.

I have had this card too long. Tired of talking to the Philippines where they cant understand what you want and tired of their exorbitant interest rates. They are not interested in keeping customers, only in getting rich off their backs. I for one will pay off my account in the next monthly cycle and not do business with Juniper or Barkley anymore. A Platinum card and I am paying 26.24%. Their pat answer is that we will review it in six months which has been their answer for over two years. I always pay four to six times the minimum balance due. This is the worst bank I have ever done business with ever.

just got a denial letter from them. I was denied credit with them because I did not respond within the time period specified on the offer. called customer service and got the run around spoke to a "manager that stated was going to call me back to resolve the issue why I was denied. My credit is impecable and she never returned my call either. Again I am glad I saw this website also!!

After reading all of these reviews, it is obvious that Barclay Bank does not care about customer service. I have had a problem with my Free Spirit card and have been sent from one Manila representative to another. My problem was never resolved. I will never do business with Barclay again.

Found out that Barclay's Bank of Delaware handles BJ's Club's Credit Card. Contacted them thru their call center. The experience was awful, trying to spell information requested, HAD TO REPEAT MYSELF 4,328 TIMES I felt like I was going to chew my arm off with frustration. Anyway just got a denial letter from them. I have A-B credit ,and was denied credit with them because I did not respond within the time period specified on the offer. I did not even know there was a time period. Anyway I came to this site found the complaints and after reading them, I am so glad that I did not qualify to be ripped off by these jokers, Their Customer service in India, Manila, oversea's or wherever it is located is extraordinarily AWFUL. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR COMMENTS!! YOU ALL SAVED ME A HUGH HEADACHE.

Worst credit card bank ever! Closed my account in October. They charged me an annual fee of $50 on the next statement. When I complained, they said they would waive it. It's been 2 months. Not only is the $50 annual fee still there but now the imposed a late fee brining my total up to almost $100. They state they already reversed the fee in October BEFORE I closed my account. Morons. 5 Customer Reps that I spoke with could not resolve, could not follow the notes they had on their system from my previous calls to follow up, and still gone unresolved.

Barclays has lived up to the worst bank title they have recieved in all the reviews. I have had them show up on my credit report since 2002 when I closed and paid off the account, and can not get ahold on anyone with the knowledge of how to correct thier error.

Barclays is the worst company you could ever do business with! They should not be allowed to do business in this country. They are one of the major reasons for the meltdown. Don't trust any of their advertising or special promotions. Because once you contact them, they know nothing about any of the promotions. Their Apple computer promotion is a sham. I had an interest free purchase for one year, paid it off in four months and was then sent letters that I have damaged my credit! Their call center can't speak English, in fact can't even get close to being able to say your name and know nothing about nothing. If you ask to talk to a manager, they will say that one will call you in 24 hours, but no one calls. They are gutless, worthless, corrupt organization that should be banned! Stay away from Barclays! They stink!

I sent a credit card payment of $3000 by electronic bill pay and in error transpoded 1 number in the account number. I called customer service and tried to explain what happened. After being transfered several times I finally got a supervisor who treated me like a criminal and still couldn't get the grasp of this simple situation. I then got representative at my bank BA to conference call with me. She explained what had happened and sent documentation to verify what had happened. A few days later I received a letter from Barclays stating they could not proceed without a copy of a cancelled check??? I had already explained that the payment was electronic. So, I called again gave my life story to 3 more people at Barclays only to be told, you need to send in a copy of your check. Another call with Bank of America rep who explained electronic payments are not checks. Barclays supervisor said ok issue will be reviewed and that I would be advised in 10 days. Three weeks go by and I call back and get in the same loop again. In the meantime I'm out $3000. Barclays in not only the most incompetent Bank I have ever delt with it is the worst business of anykind I have ever experienced. Next step, I am contaction the FTC and reporting them for bank fraud. You can't make up stories like this. If I ever get my $3000 back i am cancelling the card and telling everyone I know to steer clear.

It takes 10 days to post a payment. They charge 28% interest. They use Pakistani employees. I hate this company.I am cutting this card up and never using it again. barclays if you want american business use american workers.

I just got a letter from Barclays Delaware that they had declined my credit card application, which I had never sent them. I guess I was lucky they declined it.

I agree with W.P. Bohn. I am trying to negotiate a settlement with Barclay, but whenever I speak with anyone and ask for a settlement department, they tell me there is no one else to transfer me to. When I deviate from the "norm" they go back to what you can tell is a script. I am getting nowhere with them and as a result, they will not be paid.

I doubt you folks care what people think. Your Manila people are rude and hard to understand. Bring the Operation back to the states.

I've had this card for less than a year. I couldn't use it for 6 months due to the fact that they issued me a new frequent-flyer number and lost all my accumulated mileage. It took them 3 months for them to revert it back to my original frequent flyer number, but I never received the bonus mileage from Spirit Air they lured me in with. I always set a safety net of $50.00, so that I don't find myself in a bind if I miss a billing date when I'm traveling. This last month I was notified that I missed my payment. I never touched this preset parameter, this was changed by something that happened internal with Barclay's IT department. So, I received a text. I never authorized them to text me, only e-mail me for notification. So, my notifcations aren't working properly. I still desire a call back from a United States, Customer Service Supervisor. Part of the reason I opened the account was that when I question the representative, he said they accounts were serviced in the US, primarily Delaware. I really dislike dealing with Island folk, and India. The culture is much different and the help is very subservient (They are so afraid of going against management and trying to represent the client accurately, that they actually create larger problems for the consumer. They have no idea what it's like to exist in the BIG CITY, such as New York, they don't have exposure. This causes such a dilemma for the card holder that I just decided to pay the small balance off and close the account. I'll be using my American Express, and Continental Visa in the future.

While traveling to Seattle and stopping in Phoenix, I was approached and offered this CC and was definitely told if I accepted the CC of which I paid an annual fee, and if I spent a certain amount within a specified period, I would qualify for a free round trip ticket to anywhere in the continental United States and that I could take a companion with me for a nominal fee of either 79 or 99 dollars. Knowing i would spend that amount easily, I accepted the offer. I received the CC immediately and charged enough against the CC to qualify for everything promised. However, after a very long time, I found these people LIE through their teeth. THE ONLY WAY TO TAKE A COMPANION IS IF I PURCHASE ANOTHER $250 TICKET. Even though I qualified for the free round trip ticket, I could not take a companion with me. I paid off the amount charged and have not used the CC since. I attempted to cancel the card after 1 year and they promised to send me 2 free round trip tickets to be used by any companion. ANOTHER LIE. It was the same as before and when I called, they could not find anyone who had said that to me. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, there was none available. When I asked for a phone number to Corporate offices, they could/would not provide one to me. They have now charged another annual fee to my credit card and have promised to remove the fee and cancel the card. We will see. I intend to write to the Better Business Bureau locally and submit a complaint. If I were anyone, I would never do business with these people.

Be Very Cafefull with this card. I made a payment two weeks before the due date, I can see the payment on their website but they increased my interest rate from 8% to 23% without a notice or explanation. I am doing all the leg work to get this matter resolved. Very disappointed with customer service
