Ashley furniture is rediculous i am never going to shop with them again,i had payed for my furniture in july and it is now the middle of October and i only have half of my furniture come on what am i suppose to do with 2 kitchen chairs and no table my family had to eat on the floor because we had moved to a new home and had no furniture,I was very unpleased with them and the girl at customer service is worthless she told me that someone would call me back and that was 3 weeks ago and no call has come through,i was going to buy a bed from them but after my furniture experience i am shopping else where.Something should be done with their service they should not be able to get away with all this,and they would not refund me my delivery fee and i waited for my furniture for to long i am a very unsatisfied guest and dont know how you people do business but that is not very good business at all i am in the industry and that is not how things should be handled.No wonder there was hardly any one in the parking lot also when thay brought my furniture there was a tear in the chair and they had scratched my brand new wall in my brand new house when they brought half of my furniture,all around Ashley furniture is one of the worste places to buy furniture from so if you are planning on buying from them you better expect to wait months before you get your product there is not one good comment on this page shouldnt that tell you something.

I purchaesd furniture that was delivered damaged. I called to get it replaced and they refused to come out within the 14 day return time frame. I explained to the rep about the return policy and he advised that would not be a problem. The day the tech was to have come out I received a call and was advised they needed to cancel since the tech called in sick. Again they set up a 2 wk appt and the tech they sent out said he could not to do the repair by him self and that they should have sent another person with him. I want a refund, I paid cash now all I am getting is the run around the store claims they can not approve the return since it is past 14 days only cooperate can authorize, needless to say I am still waiting for a call. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY,************************************************************.

Purchased a rocker recliner as an anniversary gift (20 Yrs) was told it would be ready in 7 days. Called ( sorry MAM ) it won't be here until next week. I most certainly do not have the patience in which some of you do. I threw my fit and now am getting the floor model with a 5 year warranty. I agreed to it simply because I want my husbands gift here when he gets home. I am on my way to pick it up in 30 minutes. So sad I did not stumble across this blog prior to my purchase. Will NEVER BUY from them again!

I live in PA but I am moving to NJ this weekend. I bought Furniture the first week of September to be shipped on the day we move on. I just received a call saying that they will deliver from 8-12. I told her I won't have my keys until after 9:30 and that they woudl need to move the time. The woman LAUGHED and said "we cannot and will no change your time. Too bad, figure it out." ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Now after reading these reviews I am dreading my delivery bc I do not want to be in an apartment without a couch or bedframe...god damn.

Like all of you that have written on this website, I have also had terrible experience with Ashley Furniture. Long story short, I purchased several items on 07/05/2010 and was told it would be delivered within 2-6 weeks. When I called to get my delivery date I was told the bedroom set was on back order and I would not receive it until the end of Sept. This was not communicated to me when I purchased the furniture, the waited until they cashed my check(I paid the balance in full $2,865)to tell me about the back order. Every time I called to get an update or to find out if they could expedite the delivery date I was told there was nothing they could do. No one apologized or even acknowledged that there were issues with their business practices. All I kept hearing was the sales associates do not have any way of knowing when furniture is available for delivery--if that is the case why are the selling furniture when they have know way of verifying if it's in stock? I finally received all of my furniture over three months later on 10/12/10. Some pieces are scratched and damaged--so naturally this caused me to hate Ashley Furniture even more. I decided that I was going to do something about it. I have submitted letters to the corporate office and the store where I purchased the furniture at. I have also filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission. I strongly encourage others on this site to do the same, this company needs to be stopped. They don't care about their customers--despite what their so called mission statement says. To all of the potential customers reading the posts on the site thinking this won't happen to me, I won't have this same experience--your wrong! I don't care how nice their furniture appears to be or how good of sale they wave in your face don't buy anything from them. When something goes wrong(and it will) they will not take responsibility for their mistakes only causing your further frustration and stress. Take it from me it's not worth it. -Nicole

I worte on here on the 8th and I just thought I would post again to let everyone know I am convinced that people that work at ashley furniture are retarted and they lie and have no customer service. im waiting for them to deliver since they messed up one the 8th october and I called today to confirm they were not going to FORGET TO BRING THE PARTS AGAIN ..... Thank god i asked they had me scheduled for a set up again with no parts ...? like are you an idiot like serious your stupid ......she said she changed it now but i dont believe here they said that thurday and saturday tooo when i talked to them I think the business burrow needs to be contacted and have a huge complaint that this company is soo shitty. Like 8 mess ups how does that even happen and if it does they need to give me something in return for this crazyness.... NEVER BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE AGAIN I AM CUTTING MY card up I'm sure this wont be my last post since They probably wont bring my stuff tonight

I bought a bedroom set from ashley and one of the drawers is broken.. so far i have been waiting for 3 months to receive a small part and until the part gets to me tyhey wont send out a technician to fix anything!! now i got a call from ashley stating that the part not come for another month.. what is wrong with them?? arent they a big company? why do they act like morons???? i will never buy from them again.. the worst i have ever seen.. by the way that extended warranty i bought was a waste fo money as well... when i called them to tell them about my drawer they told me that i should call ashley.. what the hell did i pay for warranty?? this is the reason why the economy is so bad.. we had stupid business like ashley still acting like they are a business!!

The worst liars are working for Ashley in Hickory, NC. I ordered and paid in full for a leather sectional sofa, 2 chairs, 2 loveseats. It took months and everytime I called, "it's on back order". My main concern was the two wingback chairs (which came from Vietnam) smelled so bad that I could not use them, nor would Ashley take them back. I had the chairs cleaned professionally, still the stink is there. Did they use animal skins or hairs in the chairs? A $300+ chair (times 2) that I cannot and would not use. The cushions on the loveseats had different material on the bottoms, can't even turn them over. By the way, I asked my salesman where the furniture was made, he stated "locally", I don't think Vietnam is local. Don't waste your time with Ashley Furniture, the items are substandard, they are made in other countries, and salespeople evidently lie just to get the sale. Poor customer service, untruths, substandard furniture, I hope that everyone gets the message about Ashley. Don't waste your time.

WORST SERVICE WOULD NEVER BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE!They don't even deserve 1 star of how bad service I have received. We ordered a dresser, two end table and a headboard whole set canopy . They first brought the wrong boards they were two short so my bed in laying on the floor within the frame this is beginning of august. The dresser corner was scraped open. I send the dresser back and was told I would have to wait 2 to 3 weeks for the boards. The dresser comes again beginning of september and the drawer is scratched right up so a new drawer had to be ordered. As for my boards Its October 8th and my bed is still laying on the ground 2 MONTHS!! They were suppose to deliver yesterday the guys came out and they didnt have parts they were told they just needed to set something up. There was another mix up I have had so many mix up I talked to customer service and they don't have any thing they can do to help a uphappy customer like most places they mess up that many times they give you a gift card or something try and make you happy to make you wanna come back. I told them I was going to return everything and never shop there again they seemed to not care at all its like oh thats your choice... like thats bad customer service. I'm telling everyone I know that they are a joke and never to shop there. I still have no drawer or boards.

I ordered two mattress sets on a Saturday. I was told I could pick them up the next Saturday. Here it is Friday and they call to tell me the mattress sets are on backorder. I immediately cancelled my order, but only after having to deal with several people at the store. When I called the store I was told someone would have to call me back because everyone was busy in the back having birthday cake. WHAT? After finally getting someone away from their birthday celebration, I was ask to hold again. After much unprofessionlism and poor customer service from the Ashley representative I was able to cancel my order, haven't got my money back yet, but I will and I think they understood. In order to work for Ashley Furniture you must have these qualifications: poor customer service, poor enuciation, the ability to lie convincingly, 8th grade education, and be absolutely uncaring about all customers. ASHLEY ISN'T WORTH THE TROUBLE, GO TO A REAL FURNITURE STORE!

Dear Cooperate, I'm contacting you because I've tried emailing the Ashley customer support website (customersupport.ashleyhs.com) and for some reason it won't load on my computer or any other computer I use. I'm emailing via at this time of night to give you an idea of the severity of my situation. Last August 10th/09 a woman named Sushila Khatri & Karin(service coordinator) is who I dealt with in management in regards to a re-selection issue I was having and unfortunately here we are in Oct./10 and the situation is still not rectified. After that initial re-selection process we received 3 deliveries of damaged merchandise. At which time managers Karin & Michelle were notified. After many months of unreturned phone calls by different company reps I fell ill with colon cancer and due to the rigurous schedule of chemo, radiation and hemo dialysis I was unable to come back into the store nor continue to be as dilligent in expediting this issue. Your company claims to have sent correspondence via mail but I have never received it and considering I still have my original sales reciept, every delivery reciept and an email sent to me in regards to the original re-select by Sushila Khatri from Aug/09 you can believe that I am responsible with my documents and if they sent letters I'd have them. In July of 2010 I got a break in my chemo and made the trip again from NYC to NJ to deal with this issue. I was sent home with the issue unresolved waiting for word of resolution from again managers Karin & Michelle. After 5 weeks of no response and constant calls on my part a manager named Yolanda stepped in and assured me she'd get to a resolution. She too made broken promises and left the company without notifing us of a solution or telling us who was now responsible for our concerns. At that time Michelle stepped in again and for approximately 7 wks we waited for word of resolution. Finally after numerous phone calls (again by me not your company) Michelle tells us cooperate ok'd our re-selection process (this took 3 months to get a word from Karin and Michelle from July of 2010-Oct 2010) we told her we didn't need a re-select actually they could just set us up for delivery of the same furniture we've been waiting on for a year and she told us that our original re-select order from Aug/09 was too old we had to come in. We did again and picked the same furniture from the original re-select and were told that now because the furniture has gone up in price we needed to pay the difference. We told the in store manager your manager Karin told us that our items were a manufactures defect so why should we be responsible to pay anything. We just want what we paid for and we don't want it to be damaged not to mention your company has a great deal to do with why this process has taken so long. Why are you penalizing us for a price difference if your company sent us damaged furniture in our last 3 deliveries. We wouldn't be in this situation if they gave us undamaged merchandise. With all that said to the in store manager and Wade via the phone from customer support we are still waiting to hear from Michelle and Karin as to what's going to happen next because we should not be paying anything more for this furniture. Manufacturers defect means you sold us an inferior product. The guilt lies with the company not the customer. Then on top of selling us faulty product your company delivered damaged merchandise to our home 3 times. This is a disgrace and a true lack of customer service. We told Beebee from customer support about the damaged deliveries and asked if the furniture could be checked before delivery. She said that would be done but it never was. We had that coversation with Wade on Oct 5th and he promised Michelle or Karin would call Oct 6th by noon. They didn't call and @ 3:10p on Oct 6th I called and spoke to Michelle who promised to call that night before 8p, she didn't. So today (10/07/10) @ about 5:50p I called and spoke with Wade who said Michelle nor Karin were in. I told him I no longer want to deal with them I want to deal with their superiors. He said after many times of me insisting that he didn't know who that was and that I needed to speak to Karin and Michelle for that information. So as you can see I have been beyond patient and tolerant. I'm at my wits end. I'm not a well person and it upsets me to tears how I'm being treated by your company. I'm a disabled 61 year old cancer and kidney dialysis patient, I'm on a fixed income and the $1000 price difference is an impossibility to me not to mention its not my fault the furniture is defective. A manufacturers defect is a recall. Your company re-called that set they no longer even sell the original color we purchased. How can your company make this my issue. I have a warranty, I did what they told me to do, I followed all the rules. Now its time for your company to make good on their side. Will someone PLEASE HELP ME!!!! Sincerely, Mrs Carol Marston

Horrible customer service!!! What a joke this company is!! had "service technician "clown out 3 times for same problem,, he said we would hear form them in 3 days,,, NOT! I have called and left countless messages . Tried some nice some threatening,,,, it doesn't matter! NO ONE calls back,,,, ever!!! guess I'm stuck with a lemon love seat,,,, It's not over yet!!! I am telling everyoneI know not to buy from there!!! Oh yeah their advertising LIES!!! so do the sales people!!!

I purchase a twin bed with trundle for my daughter at a fare price and the contract was signed for that particular price. I haven't received the bed only the trundle and the assistant manger tells me that the bed was missed priced by their corporate office and they want me to pay the difference. I think NOT, it was sold for the price I purchased the bed and they should honor their signed aggreement. They are giving me a hard time and I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH ME AGAIN NOR WILL I GIVE THEM ANY GOOD RATINGS. The service is the worst that I've ever experienced and if you're not a company of your word than why should honest consumers purchase their merchandise. For those of you that's reading this ratings PLEASE shop around before your buy.

Bought furniture on Sat, 10/2/2010, was told it was in stock by sales and we could pick it up that day. Hired a driver and trailer to get our furnniture and found out it was not in stock. Was told they were sorry and that the furniture would be delivered in 1 or 2 days. This is day 3. They got the furniture and no one bothered to schedule the delivery. Tried to find the corporate number and they keep that well hidden. So, I am out the money I spent on the trailer, I have had company all week with no furniture in place (we gave our old stuff away to our son who just came home from Iraq) and the best they will do is tell us when they think it may be delivered... Done with Ashley... just plain done...

I agree with Wanny - this company doesn't deserve to be in business. Went down to the new Southcenter Store in Tukwila, Wa for their Grand Opening. They pulled the old "Bait and Switch" tactic on us. What a trashy way to build up business!

Wish I had read this before I purchased. I purchased a dining room set and cabinet in July. It took a month for it to be delivered. Once it was delivered I noticed the cabinet was damaged. Ashley indicateed they would repair( what..I purchased new ??why would I want it repaired) after spending several weeks arguing over a new cabinet, they finally agreed. However, today 2 and half months after purchase, I'm still waiting. The sales people do a great job selling, but it's a gamble if you actually receive the furniture timely and in new condition. Don't even try to call the service number. I will never shop there again.

Bought 5 pieces of furniture on July 30th with a promise of 2-3 week delivery. Four weeks and 1 day later the delivery came. We refused 2 pieces due to very poor condition of furniture then found holes, scratches and stuffing coming out on the three pieces we kept. After another 5 weeks of waiting they showed up today with one of our chairs and had no clue we had originally sent 2 back. Fed Ex has been bringing us boxes of furniture parts for weeks so today the repairman rebuilt our furniture in our living room...but one of the boards that was Fed Exed to us is in no better shape than the original one on the couch. So now we sit and wait for the chair that they have conveniently forgotten and for another board to replace the scratched one. Will NEVER shop there again...it's a nightmare. My sister in law bought furniture from Furniture Factory Outlet one day, it was delivered the next and all was in very good condition. Plus...she spent less money than I did to start with!!!!

Went to the new store in Lynchburg walked the entire store was not spoken to asked could anyone help me or anything. Don't knoow how they stay in business but with customer service like that I would not spend a dime.Home office may want to read the reviews because I did not see very many happy potential customers.

After being told my furniture would arrive at a certain time and it did not I cancelled my order. I was supposed to have a check mailed back to me for the 3600.00 cash that I gave them when I placed my order. I still have received no check. Anyone who was also screwed by this rip off business, I will be picketting their Fremont, California store the last week of October 2010. Come on out and join or better yet pickett their store where you purchased your junk at. It's perfectly legal as long as you keep moving and don't cause any damage. I will be inviting the local news papers and the local television news media out to visit the pickett. It's tough times for everyone and no one can afford having crooks like this take advantage of hard working people! Please come out and show your support...............Wanny
