This place is far and away the worst outfit I have ever had to deal with. Zero customer service, they stand behind nothing, quick to take your money but good luck trying to get all you paid for in a reasonable time frame. I'm still waiting for dining room chairs 3 weeks after paying in full. Today I was informed it would be another 2 weeks. They refuse to refund my money and offer no alternatives.Calling the BBB and the local Fixer in the newspaper. searching for a corporate number to contact. They're crooks.

This place has the worst customer service ever... I went in the store, and wanted to speak to a manager, well the guy that was trying to assist me got a attitude with me so I got one back, so when he went to go get the manager he came with a attude as well, and my complaint was because I was told my furniture would be here on that monday and they said they would call me when it arrived.. So all day monday I received no call so I go up to the store in person, well thats when I got the tudes and I demanded my money back, at this time the manager told me to take him to court, and he was not gonna give me a refund, by this time I requested the police, so the police had to get involved, then the idiot manager told him to give me a tresspass... I was pissed, and me being 6 mths pregnant made it no better... Im calling the beru office on them and news station.....

I've dealt with them before some years ago, brought some living room furniture and all went okay, so when I needed a recliner, decided to check with them again, on the floor was a Simmons recliner I decided on, the salesperson was nice guy, he stated it would probably take about week or 2 for shipment. I went ahead and paid in full, part cash & used credit card for reminder. The manager decided to put the purchase on a lay-away statement as to not confuse the computer system category or some sort he stated. I had no problem, I was paying for my recliner and I had all my receipts and the chair would be here at the most 2 weeks. Week 2 – I call about the recliner shipment, they then tell me it would probably be an additional 2 -3 weeks. At that point I decided to start looking elsewhere for a recliner, because I felt like these guys are full of it, I mean things are shipped all the time different places, it shouldn’t take a month or more to get a recliner you say you have at another location/warehouse. I decide to e-mail the company stating my problem with the wait time and just what all have gone down so far. I get a call from someone that works out there and he tell me that particular chair isn’t sold in Tallahassee, how did I order it, anyways I tell him it was on the store floor and a salesperson did assist me with the purchase, he stated he saw in the computer the order, and it will be a bit longer and they will call me as soon as it gets in, in fairness I will say the guy on the phone did offer me to pick something else or an upgrade, but at that point I’d had enough, I decided then to just cancel the order and get my refund back. Right, sounds easy enough, I’ve paid in full and haven’t received the recliner; it shouldn’t be a problem, WRONG. Within a few days, I went by to cancel order with receipts and the guy at counter said it would take 30 days from the date of purchase, because it was a lay-away, I said no this was all purchased paid in full the day I came in, no layaway was done, he continued to state that the receipt statement was printed on a layaway form for part of the purchase. I stated to him the guy only did it that way as to keep your computer system straight was what he said. Anyways, I said okay I’ll be back in a week since then it would be 4 weeks/month since purchase and still no chair. I return February 13, 2012, for my refund. The guy informed me that he can refund the credit card portion back to my card, but the cash would be sent from the company (check), takes about 5 -7 days, they’ll call me when it comes to pick up, I asked can’t you’ll just have the company send it out to my home address to save me another trip out here. He then said when the check comes in the store they will call me and I can then tell them the address to forward to me. So now today February 24, 2012, I just called asking where my refund check is, he said the check was not there and it should be in the next batch within the next week or so. I think I’ve been very patient with their unprofessional business practices. Today, I’m going to call the better business bureau and file a complaint with the FL Attorney General’s office which regulates consumer protection. Thanks for allowing me to vent!! Please excuse any misspelling or grammar, I’m upset and just wanted to get my story out there.

I purchase a sectional,Ottoman,and stand lamp on 1-29-12 everything paid for delivery was scheduled 2-9-12 why the I still don't have my furniture and it's now 2-21-12 I called numerous times to see what's going on all I keep getting is their having problem with the shipment so I ask could I get my money back supposedly all sales are final I go on the website and it says no such thing so I will be contacting someone first thing in the morning I paid 595.00 and plus they want delivery fee of 65.00 only in Miami,FL after this experience never going back there I'm 7 1/2months pregnant and have no damn furniture in my new apartment because of them damn right I'm mad

I have never in my life seen such a store that is as disgusting and rude. I purchased an entire living room set and end tables on 1-31-12 in full. they told me that they would hold it to be delivered a week later due to the fact that we were moving and they could do a same day delivery as soon as we called. I paid for my furniture in full. A week later I called with the delivery info and 3 days I called numerous times and was put on hold each time for up to 40 min. then on day 4 I went in and raised hell. they told me they would have it delivered that night...... 5 min later they came to me to tell me that the tables I had purchased were sold and they were... DISONTINUED!!!!!!! they then tried to offer me the ones that they had on the floor that had a 6 in chunk missing from the edge or I could up grade to a different set of tables and Pay more with a 5% discount. As far as Im concerned these people stole my money!!!!! The worst company I have ever dealt with and I am reporting them to the BBB. This took place in Springdale OHIO and the black woman manager was a disgusting excuse for a manager as well as the Manager with the last name as RAMEREZ. Anyone who was at least ok at their jobs would never conduct business this way. DO NOT SHOP THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We bought a recliner from the Ocala, FL store last Saturday and tried returning it this Saturday. One week!!! They won't honor the return after telling us to our faces that they would make good on any return for defect. The POS chair has already broke. The back has a board that broke and is now poking me in the back...the electric mechanism which controls the foot rest doesn't work properly. No way would I EVER buy from this company again. I'm reporting them to the BBB, writing letters to the newspaper and will contact the local news station to see if they can get some answers.

American freight does not back up thier merchandise they sell. Nor do they care about thier costumers complaints! Please ask questions first and spend an extra 3 or 4 hundred more at a good quality store that appreciate their costumers and wants to make me happy! Evansville IN store is rude and unprofessional. My husband and I are on our way to buy another mattress set at a real mattress store! We threw away 745.00 dollars at American Freight!! So sad!

I have never in my life had such horrible customer service in my life. I bought a recliner couch and love seat from the Nashville TN store. The couch recliner leans to the side. After over a month dealing with Taylor which may I add does not need to work with people at all told us to deal with it! When I asked to speak to her boss she said I am the boss. I call headquarters and it was not any better. These people are the worst!!!! I am going to report them to the BBB!!!!

I wish I would have seen this before I went to the store! This place is the worst!!!! I am so sick... I work to hard for my money to buy junk and be treated like garbage! Headquarter manager needs customer service training as well!

Im fed up with American Frieght in Orlando FL. I purchased my furniture in November, I reported a manufature defected cusion. And have been waiting ever since for a replacement. Manager offered me a refund if the new set would arrive on January 31st and now he doesnt return my calls.

If i could I would put -5 in the rating! After FINALLY getting the couch and queen bed, we are still waiting, since Dec 21 when we PAID in full for a matching red ottoman, yep we do not have it. The store will not give a time line of when it will be in, they told us we could travel to a different town to MAYBE see if they have one. They are very UN friendly at rhe store. And yet we see the ads on TV where they are having another sale this week-end. I am sure one does come but they sell it-going against their own policy of if it is paid for-you are the first to receive it! This is the worst company to deal with, so will be contacting the BBB of Pensacola, FL about this company, as I will not just give up & go away-that is our money-not theirs and I want that ottoman! Will be glad to be finally done with them.

Worst place ever to deal with. Put furniture on layaway saturday promised it would be there on tuesday to pick up everything but the loveseat. Please dont ever make a purchase from these people customer service also terrible. And the layaway policy is stupid it's not a real layaway it just makes it where the price of the furniture is locked in.

ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY EVER!!! Bought furniture for my parents for christmas and was promised it would be in within the week or two, it's been a month now and my older brother (who pitched in on the gift) moved back home and i no longer have the transportation to get the furniture. The stores claim they can't do anything about it and try to call corporate, Suzane, the customer service rep. won't talk to you, she hung up on me 3 times and won't hear me. She spoke over top of me and refused to hear that there was a problem. Why have a customer service rep if they don't listen to you or help with your problems. The owner of the business really needs to step in and see who his employees are and what his business is doing because i'm sick of the run-around!

Needless to say I have seen nothing good on here about American Freight and I have nothing good to say. I purchased a dinning room table from them and it is falling apart and none will do anything about it. From day one I was lied to about them delivering and set up. When they delivered my table it was in boxes. Really!! I should have went to walmart. The better business bureau needs to look up these jokers because they truly are a scam. I hope they fell real good as a company knowing my family does not have dining room table to eat on.

This is the worse company to deal with and I would never buy anything from them ever again. I went to their store located in Columbus, Ohio on Morse road. While I was shopping I saw a living room set that I like I told the sale person I would be moving back to another state but it wouldn't be until the end of 2012, he told me that I could put it on Layaway for two years I just had to make monthly payments. I thought that was great I could pay on it while it was sitting in storage (even though I had to order it when I was ready for it.) I put it on layaway and behold I started getting text messages and phone calls two weeks later. I went to the store and I told them the agreement was I pay them once a month because I travel for my company the sales person who name is Brent said that is just a generated message you can pay once a month. I gave them some money after that day and (low and behold) another text two weeks letter and a phone call. I was so made from this text I felt like I was treat hen the text said (your payment is due every two weeks either you need to make a payment are come in and pay it in full). I mean I was so mad when I read this I decided I don't have time for the harassment for a layaway when I was told I had two years to pay off so I went to the store and Brent was there I told him I was cancelling my layaway because I was tired of the text messages and that is not what he told me when I sign up for a layaway.. He said that his manager has them to set the computer to call and threaten customers to come in and pay because there business is slow. I told him that is not right to do to people and I was going to report this to the BBB and the Attorney General oh here is the topper they would only give me a store credit not the cash I gave them but a store credit. Who do you think I am to patronize them and give them my money so not I have $190 on a piece of paper that I can only spend there? I am telling everyone to file a complaint with the BBB and the Attorney General’s office businesses like this is worse than a collection agents they threaten you to make it seen that you will lose your money just to get you in the store that what their sales person Brent said and then keep your hard earn money.

Wish I had seen all the bad revews BEFORE I went to A F In Florda to purchase furnture. When I went to pick up the living room & 2 bedroom sets, the only item they had for me was a box spring and the frame. What the H. Need a couch to sit on and a bed wth a mattress to sleep. Did get the one bed set cancelled With a dang store credit and a supposedly upgrade on the mattress. Had to go elsewhere to get a bed for the 2nd room. Just today, the 15 of Jan did we get our couch, no extra ottoman and this all was to be in the 21st of December. Still have to make yet another trip to the store for the ottoman later this week-we hope. And they hasd the nerve to laugh each time I had to call and ask about our furnture, like it was a big joke. Some customer service and My family now not only know but think American Freight is a big joke and scam company. I will not be back, nor will I recommend them to my worst enemy! They need to be put out of business. They use moroons for managers! Thumbs down --the worst company going!

MY WIFE & I WALKED INTO THE STORE IN LAFAYETTE INDIANA WITH OUR 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER TO LOOK AT FOR A MATTRESS. WE WERE TALKING TO THE SALESMAN & ASKED IF THE MATTRESSES WERE GOIN TO GO ON SALE AGAIN.(BECAUSE THEY HAD JUST HAD A SALE)HIS RESPONSE TO US WAS NO THEY WILL NOT GO ON SALE AGAIN WE ARE ACTUALLY GOING TO INCREASE THE PRICES ON THEM DUE TO IT BEING TAX SEASON. PEOPLE WILL BE GETTING TAX REFUNDS & SO THAT IS WHY WE INCREASE OUR PRICE. DO NOT DO BUSINESS. SPEND YOUR MONEY AT DENVER MATTRESS COMPANY OR SOMEPLACE ELSE.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY I BOUGHT A SOFA AND LOVESEAT FROM THE INDIANA STORE AND IT'S NOW BEEN 6 WEEKS LATER AND THE SOFA IS IN BUT NOT THE LOVESEAT I CALL EVERYDAY TO FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON AND OF COURSE THEY DON'T HAVE AN EXACT DATE ON WHEN IT WILL BE IN. IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY AND TIME DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. I have thought about taking them to court.

The WORST. I purchased a bed and dinette table, which I paid for delivery and assembly, both the bed and dinette were damaged upon delivery. I called and spoke with the manager, Ray, Milwaukee, WI. He promised me he would have new furniture out to me within the week. Never did I receive a call. I have called multiple times a week for 3 weeks. At this point, Ray claims that he now has to see the damage and refuses to provide me with any compensation. He is rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. He actually ended up hanging up on me....now thats some wonderful customer service. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM AMERICAN FREIGHT

PLEASE BUYER BEWARE! NEVER WILL I BUY ANYTHING FROM AMERICAN FREIGHT. THEY ARE TRULY RUNNING A SCAM. THEY HAVE A NO REFUND POLICY THAT IS ENFORCED EVEN IF THE ORDER ERROR IS THEIR FAULT. ITEMS WERE PUT ON OUR ORDER THAT WE DID NOT PICK OUT. SO WHEN WE WERE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, BECAUSE OF THE TIME AFTER THE PURPOSE, OH SORRY WE HAVE A NO REFUND POLICY. HOW CAN ASK FOR A REFUND ON ITEMS WE DIDN'T ORDER IN THE FIRST PLACE! OFFERING A STORE CREDIT WAS THEIR SOLUTION. SO NOW THEY HAVE CONTROL OF MY MONEY, WHICH IS USUALLY HUNDEREDS OF DOLLARS WHEN DEALING WITH A FURNITURE STORE. I DON'T WANT TO DEAL WITH THEM! BESIDES THERE IS NOT EVEN ANYTHING ELSE IN THE STORE THAT I WANT. AND AFTER DEALING WITH THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER ENCOUNTERED, WHO WOULD WANT TO. I'M SO ANGRY, I FEEL LIKE I'VE BEEN TAKENED ADVANTAGE OF, LIKE I'VE BEEN A PART OF SCAM. GOING TO ANOTHER FURNITURE STORE, I KNOW THE END RESULTS WOULD HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT. WENT THERE TRYING TO SAVE A BUCK, NOT WORTH IT.
