Just went and seen Dark Knight in Coon Rapids MN. 15-20mn into the movie a young man entered wearing a backpack, then left, then returned and went to the back of the theatre. How can you enjoy a movie with someone acting so odd and wearing a backpack. Talked to the Manager and was told they have no legal right to search a persons belongings when entering. 3/4 into the movie backpack boy ran up and down the stairs on the other side of the theatre , stood and watched the movie for 2-3 mn ran up the stairs ,then left. Whew! High prices haven't scared us away but maybe this will.

Amc lynnhavn Virginia beach Va has a problem with there projector bulb, I have watch a recent movie the Brave and Batman on digital show and it has very poor light projection towards the screen. I have been a projectionist in the military overseas and i know managers did check the screen prior the starts, projector needs a new Bulb. Thanks love AMC ED Gonzales

I just heard that in order to help protect their customers from another Aurora, CO happening elsewhere, AMC has banned all costumes. Of all the stupidity any company could produce. Yeah, AMC, because without red hair dye, that idiot (who I will refuse to name so he does not get his 15 minutes) could not have murdered and injured so many people. You morons insult the deaths of each and every one of those victims by REFUSING to see the real problem that allowed this crime to occur WITH NO RESPONSE!! There were two or three soldiers KILLED that night. If this was not a NO GUN ZONE, they could have possibly taken him out before he did so much damage. It just does not make any sense that you would believe a costume (that he may not have put on until AFTER he came through the exit door (which is not watched by a ticket-taker).

Was at amc theater in s hereville Indiana july20. Went to see black knight rising. During the movie exit back door opens. People jumped from their seats. This the day after theater massacre for the movie. Couldn't finish movie so angry . The managers showplace 16 suck. Plenty of people gave them he'll. It was scary for that to happen. Uncalled for.

I went to see The avengers and had to endure screaming and chattering during the movies with my 2 sons and my sons friend..I didn't get a chance to watch the movie over all of the talking and a teenager kicking my seat.

On Monday, July 9, we had to sit through TED (an R-rated movie) with an infant in a carrier seat and two toddlers talking and crying throughout the entire movie. The parents simply did not leave. In Staten Island theatres, employees periodically check each viewing room while the movie is in progress. This is a good policy. Please maintain your restrooms. Very large Ladies Room, approximately 10-12 stalls: most of the seats had urine stains on them probably because all the toilet seat cover dispensers were empty; there was soap in only 1 of the 4 dispensers. It's a shame because this theatre is architecturally beautiful and clean otherwise. I did speak with a gentleman who said he was the Manager, but we will not patronize this AMC theatre again. Going to a movie these days is an expensive proposition. Hopefully, you recognize that people have choices. Thank you. Joan

We recently went to an eveing show featuring Medea's new comedy movie. Upon arrival to Unit 10 theatre in Mattoon, we had just walked in, purchased our tickets and walked up to the concession stand to purchase pop corn. there was a young gentlemen waiting on 2 or more people in one group. there were at least 6-8 other people including ourselves waiting to be served. we saw 2-3 other employees in the immediate area, but no one asked if we needed anything. we stood in line for almost 5 minutes waiting for the one male clerk to finally take our order. We noticed alot of young employees which seemed to be busy taking care of their own needs and ignoring the customers. when we finally got our pop corn, we walked over to the butter dispenser and both containers were broken and not working. we informed the staff, but went ahead and walked to the movie. My husband was very upset and wanted to complain to the manager, but as we were walking away, mu husband was able to tell them about the butter containers not working. later, i had to take a trip to the restroom and as i was walking down the halls, there was popcorn on the floor in several ares. it looked unkept and needed attention. then after entering the bathroom, i discovered all the hand towel dispensers were empty. the bathroom looked unkept and needed cleaning. i then went and told a young man close to the restoom my concerns and he informed me they were short handed and no one would be cleaning the restrooms anytime soon. I then ran into the manager and informed her of my situation and shared with her the issues i have shared earlier with you in this complaint. all the years we had been coming to this movie theatre, we had never seen it so dirty and unclean and we were concerned. she said one employee left early. but she then said thats no excuse for what was brought to her attention. Before going into the bathroom and when coming out, i saw employees sitting either on their cell phones or doing nothing. we felt this needed to be brought to you attention, hoping you will check into our concerns and bring this movie theatre back up to the high standards this theatre use to have for several years. we appreciate your intervention and hopefully this will take care of the problem. thanks you!

I frequent this AMC because of the mall that is attached to it. There is a supervisor that has absolutely no people skills. I was early for my movie so I decided to talk to the supervisor and just find out about the theatre I visit so often. He completely brushed me off and told me he has no time for people. When I got to the concession stand he was helping out behind the stand, I asked if the cheese was warm because I wanted nachos he refused to answer the question. So I just got a soda and went into my auditorium. AMC always advertises we make smiles happen but I didn't feel this way at all. I felt as though this supervisor either didn't care or didn't want any interaction from someone that is supposed to be his guest.

Saw a movie at showplace Rockford, il and they should be ashamed of themselves for turning the air off. It was so hot we were sick!

My daughter suffers from severe anxiety. I took her and my son to see a movie at Hamilton 24 in NJ. I thought it was going to be a treat. Unfortunately, due to the unbelievable sound level and strange background booming sounds, it was a devastating experience, not just for her, but myself and son as well. She got a severe headache, increased heart and respiration as a result of the NOISE and sudden sounds during the film caused her to constantly jump from being so startled. If the level of sound had been reasonable we could have remained to see the film we paid for. I think most viewers in the audience were uncomfortable, as conversation was had regarding the loudness prior to the film. It makes me fear that there is some subliminal technique in play here because there is no honest and human reason that the sound level should be so loud. And what is that underlying "booming" sound we noticed? It will be a while before we venture to another movie at AMC24 Hamilton. It was not enjoyable because most of our concentration was in dealing with the sound level and not the movie itself.

I wish I can give you guys no stars due to the lack of you not playing a movie that came out two weeks ago but You guys are still playing a movie that has been out for two and a half months that only sold 30 tickets today you lost a loyal customer and movieco is Playing the movie I wanna see which is that's my boy wish I could use my stubs card

We have decided to no longer watch movies at the AMC La Jolla, CA because of the assault of loud ads and previews for 40 minutes before the movie started. It's a convenient place for us to go, but it's just not worth the unpleasant noise you must sit for before the movie starts.

Choose to see your movies anywhere but an AMC theater. How poorly this company is operated is beyond astonishing. After encountering a poorly trained, poorly spoken, young black man who claimed to be a manager and who mishandled a simple matter at the Century City AMC 15, I called the company's headquarters and asked to speak with an executive; the operator refused to put me through to someone in management. I was told I could speak to someone in costumer service, this individual turned out to be no different than the manager of the theater, another poorly trained, poorly spoken, ignorant sounding young blank man. I have nothing against minorities, but I do have a problem with incompetence. It appears this company lost it's soul long ago when it ran into financial trouble and was acquired by several venture capital firms, Bain Capital being one of them. No wonder these multi-million dollar theaters are being run by kids, there are no adult managers in sight; adults require real salaries, not minimum wage. AMC was just sold to a Chinese firm, as much as I dislike this idea, perhaps they will improve operations, they can hardly do worse.

When are u going to clean & upgrade ur theaters in Deptford nj??????? They are so old, dirty & outdated its just awful!

Greetings, I am a professor of Strategic Management at a Chinese University (Jimei U), and I have an amateur movie review site at askmrmovies.com. It has been my general experience that AMC theaters in New York and Florida are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Service is professional and the managers considerate of the needs of the movie-goers. That being said; AMC still posted a huge net loss for 2011. It's takeover by Wanda may have infused the company with more immediate cash, but that does not necessarily translate into creating greater sales or market share, which is the only sure barometer of financial success for the company. I am sure Mr. Wang is well aware of these variables and his astute business sense about Chinese film "When China makes a film like Avatar, then it will make a lot of money internationally" seems to me to be right on the money. I really do not know a lot about the production end of film or even the distribution business of film in both China and the US, but I do have a fairly good appreciation of both US and Chinese cinema. Good films, unfortunately, don't always make money and mediocre films sometimes do. This is an unfortunate reality of the movie business. However, everyone seems much more pleased when one is able to produce a good film and make a great deal of money with it as well. I would like to volunteer my services as a consultant to either or both AMC and Wanda in that respect. I believe an unbiased estimation of which films to platform and which films to leave for the small market are an essential process that affects the bottom line of sales and market share. No one is right about these decisions 100% of the time, but having more imput from a professional consultant might be useful to one or both companies. Since LEGOLAND went in our FOODCOURT in Phillips Plaza mall in Atlanta,GA, They are now catering movies to childern...no more of independent movies that AMC used to show for Adults...and the STUB card is a joke too! Regeal Cinemas has the best reward program (and it's free!!)free popcorn and tickets!!!

Normaly I would not complain. I choose to let everyone pick their battles, religion and what not. Now I feel our hometown AMC is not only advocating for one faith only, they have allowed one church to take over their facility every Sunday until 12:30 p.m.They have stopped providing the service intended for all the others of this community. At the last count, I heard of our population numbers were around 52,000. We are a diverse community. We have mormons, budists,agnostics,and christians and many other denominations. I do not beleive the movies belong to any of them, except the people who actually want to see the latest blockbusters. I have gone to the early Sunday movies at the Castle Rock AMC with my kids since they opened. It is our one day off together. I would really like it back.

The GM was so rude to the workers she belittled them and spoke to them with no respect at all. She ruins this theater like a army n no wonder the workers find it tiring she's a dictator ! Get a new GM over who head professionalism!!

Bad service with a manager name James at and promanade in woodland hill he has poor management I really don't feel like going back there he was rude to my husband who's disabled after he was directed to get his refill from the top floor when he got there James tells him he can get one he needed to pay t n literallyput his hand on top to stop him like really u goona argue over wat 50 cents when the drink was fir our son when my husband try to tell him that they told him downstairs to go up he was still rude called him a liar n practically tell yo go back to his seat unless he was gonna pay gor it . Then when I tried taking my son to change his diaper there is no place to chage kids in there u have to get out the theater go all the way to the food court u know how much time u loose by doing that im not happy with thus location
