My wife and i just found out that we were driving without coverage because of a clerical mistake on Allstates end of things. We have been driving uninsured for more than a week and were never notified that we had been mistakenly cancelled. Now they can do nothing for a week? We can buy new insurance in 5 minutes online and they cannot give us satisfaction? Our agent is in the dark. What is up with that? Don't you get notified when you have been fuc.... cancelled? We have all of our financial records to prove that they were negligent. They admitted that they made a mistake. So, on a holiday weekend, we have no auto insurance. Have to cancel plans. I guess we have plenty time to talk to our attorney!

What you are asking for is basic lbilaiity insurance. It covers your for your lbilaiity in an auto accident but does not cover your car. If you are going to be added to your husbands policy eventually, you want to be sure that you have the same lbilaiity limits as him.I would suggest 100/300/100. It's not too much more expensive than basic lbilaiity but it's definately worth it. Minimum lbilaiity in your state is 25/50/10. That means the MOST that the insurance company will pay out if there is a loss is $ 25,000 per person, $ 50,000 per accident and $ 10,000 for property damage.So basically, if you hit an expensive car, or more than one car, the insurance company will only pay $ 10,000 for the damage to the vehicles you hit. Also, if someone sues you, they will only pay $ 25k per person at a max of $ 50k. That's not very much at all. Getting 100/300/100 is definately worth it. Plus, there are many insurance companies that wont even give you insurance if you dont have at least 100/300/100 as previous insurance.PS in your state, iIf you have no insurance, you are required to show financial responsibility. This basically means that you have to prove to the DMV that you have at least $ 60k cash at any time. After Wall Street lost all of my retirement funds I decided to check the fine print on my rather large home owner's bill in Southern California. It says that their estimating company claims the value of my house to be almost $500.000. The other well known companies I contacted say $300,000. The policy lists $100,000 for extra buildings and I have none. The insured value of contents of dwelling is $350,000. It should be about $35,000. When I called my agent's office I got a very friendly young lady. I told her I had to reduce the cost of my insurance because I was retired and figured she might offer some cost cutting ideas. She talked around in circles and said that those extra costs were built in as a package and there was nothing she could do. She didn't even suggest a higher deductible. I just got my 2013 renewal bill and guess what...The value of the house WENT UP $11,000. Many contractors in California are out of work and are charging less, not more. WHAT ARE THESE PEOPLE THINKING ??? JUST SIGNED UP WITH ANOTHER BIG COMPANY ....AT HALF THE COST.

I have been with allstate for over 10 years. It was time for my renewal of my policy And I was intending on adding a additional vehicle and the insurance quote was very high, so i told them I will look around for quote from other companies. I found cheaper insurance with another company, so i called to cancell the renew and fax and email all state that i will not renew. This letter, email was sent weeks in advance and they still draft money out my account. When i called allstate to find out why this happen after i done documentation to cancel policy they states they dont know what happen. Allsate agent never called to apologize or anything. I am still waiting on refund. I also spoke with allstate corporate. Do not use allstate, they cost to much, and when you need them they are not your side, and horrible customer service.

June thereI am writing this letter on behalf of my parents who live in chicago ill. Around the middle of june there ac unit got stolen. They are elderly people so they did not no how to handle a claim. I live in Columbia South Carolina and I went to Chicago on the first of july to see what I could do to fix this problem. I myself being a home owner had never filed a claim before and did not realize that there is a lot that goes in the process of filing a claim. Because of the holiday and people on vacation it took eight days to finalize there claim. I would like to thank there claim adjuster Ms. Lori Cochran for being so cooperative and understanding with me when maybe I was not. Ms. Cochran really worked hard in processing this claim for them, when the check never arrived after ten days she had there checks Fed Ex to them. Once again thanks to a very special employee you have in Ms. Lori Cochran. If I was able to give her a raise I would. Kudos to her.Thank you Regina Davidson

ALLSTATE CANCELLED OUR HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE - We have had Allstate homeowners insurance since November 18, 1991, our homeowners deductible was $250. Our first & present house we are living in now. We have never reported a claim. Just received a letter on 7/27/12, stating Allstate is cancelling our homeowners insurance. The reasons given was we did not have Allstate vehicle insurance. The age of my home is over 10 years old. And we have less than $220,000 A Dwelling Protection Coverage. My husband & are very disappointed, & upset. We regret ever choosing Allstate for our homeowners insurance. And it a complete lie they use on TV Commericals ALLSTATE IS ON YOUR SIDE. ALLSTATE WILL LET YOU DOWN! - MRS. BOYD

I have called this company repeatedly to resolve a problem Complaint ARS 3 14652060. I am messed about continually. Have also called their corporate office just a voice mail no calls back. So I really think it is time somebody dealt with this.

These people are a nightmare. I applied for a car insurance policy online back in March. Providing me with a price quote for a policy I was happy with I was asked to enter my credit card information once all my information was submitted in full I was abruptly booted from their websites payment page not receiving any type of conformation of any sort weather my payment had processed or not. I decided to wait a couple days to see if I would receive something via email confirming my policy. That never happened. I was uncomfortable knowing that I had submitted my credit card information in its entirety for processing and having not been contacted by All State at all. Roughly a week later I contacted them and they stated that they have no information nor even acknowledged that I had contacted them regarding a new policy in any way. I took that as my payment had not been processed in its entirety before I was booted off. Just to be sure I contacted my credit card company to see if a payment had been processed by All State and they confirmed that one indeed had been processed. I then called All State relaying this information and that is where my nightmare really began. I have been on the phone with these people for a total of five hours trying to have them reimburse me for the charge they made. Mind you I do not exist anywhere in their system. In closing months have gone by this is after I have gone out of my way to fax them my credit card monthly statement twice showing them that they in fact have charged me for a policy I obviously don't have. A measly fifty seven dollars probably isn't worth all the wasted time and stress fighting to get it back to most. It is the principle. I'm at a loss at this point. I'm still being given the run around when I call and it infuriates me. All I’m asking if for my money back that is rightfully mine money that they have no business holding on too. I have never dealt with such a lack of customer service by anyone let alone an established company like All State. They can be assured that I will never use them ever again for any of my insurance needs and I have urged all friends and family members to do so as well.

Allstate is the biggest bunch of idiots that ever delt with insurance. They dont mind getting my money every month but wont make right on their end when something happens. Agents are very unprofessional. They must know it all. The told my roofing contractors they need to find new professions. That is fn funny. Dont ever switch to Nostate. Thought I was in good hands. I guess the good hands forgot about me while they were counting their money. Allstate you suck. Never again in my lifetime. The word of mouth is very powerful.

I am sending you a copy of a letter my daughter sent to a company in Atlaanta. I'm not sure to send this to but I figured the coporate offices would send it where it needs to go. My daughter was forced out of her condominium because of the condo above hers water busting through her ceiling to her bedroom down to her kitchen during a rain we had for about 5 days straight. My daughter works for the federal government and is a member of the AKA sorority and if you know either of these they are big. I mention this because right now evey time she talks to them or use her social medias the first thing she says is" She is not in GOOD HANDS WITH ALLSTATE" It has been two years they initially did not want to do anything everyone kept bouncing blame around, they finally paid for her to stay at hotel for a 1 year since then my daughter has been bouncing around waiting on some solution. She is now about to get married and this is a noose aroung her neck. My daughter has always prided herself on having great credit through college undergrad and grads school, but now that credit is squashed when she needs it the most. I'm writing to you so that someone will take this seriously and stop PASSING THE BUCK! becuase we will not stop until this noose is off her neck. Below is the letter she sent. It sat in storage because Allstate failed to assist their client with repairing home so I could move back in quickly. b. Mover indicated it was not requested to be cleaned. c. Client paid over $500 for it. 4. ELFA Shelving Unit a. Client recently installed (custom fitted) new closet system prior to the leak. The client lost use of this new system because of the leak and has not been able to live in home for over 2 years and counting! Now rusty after mildew left in vacant home! b. Client paid $621.86 in May 2010. See scanned receipts. 5. Lost of 1st Home (listing only so you know the full consequences of Allstate's lack of action) a. Because I’ve been in a lawsuit over liability, paying lawyer fees, storage, rent, AND mortgage (of a place I do not live), I can no longer afford to keep my unlivable home; thus currently seeking to short sale (as is with visible mold) to avoid foreclosure. I have been a loyal client of Allstate for years. I have filed 4 claims, everytime I file a claim there is excused why it was not covered. Always excuses today top the cake and today I start looking else where for insurance. Just because it is the law to have insurance does not mean we must take abuse from the company. We are done

Worked for a local agent in Lombard for his first 6 months in business. Helped grow and build the business.....then the owner started becoming harrassing, and derrogatory. When I resigned he told me he was refusing to may me my final compensation.... So mad I dont know what to do!!

At this point and time after 15 yrs service my rating would only be zero. My auto olicy was up for payment on 23 rd of month, called cancelled verbally, they said you have to have it in . So I did on 18th called, 21 st official cancellation via new company. Well low and behold, they did not cancell, but they also took money out of my checking and now I have overdraft fees do to them. I have called daily, got answers o not our problem, were not responsible, ate you sure you cancelled. Last 2 calls promised to refund back, one within 25 hours and the last didn't know when but would be. Both stated that Corporate Headquarters would call within 25 hours as Well. I cancelled Allstate because with no tickets or accidents my insurance kept going up. They said I saved 3 dollars for next quarter. When do good drivers stop suffering for the bad.

I was hit by one or their insured people and am recieving the poorist customer service in the world. This company has no standards whatsoever.

I had Allstate Disability insurance aka American Heritage Life Insurance company out of Jacksonville Florida. I have paid into this policy by way of automatic deduction via my paycheck for over 3 years. I was recently rendered disabled and tried to file a claim. I was told that after 3 years of automatic payments (which were $93.00 per month) I was told that they did not cover my illness. Subsequently I am facing eviction from my apartment because i've suffered a loss of income for 2 months. I reside in California and have heard many complaints. THEY ARE STEALING FROM US WITH NO INTENTION OF RE-PAYMENT!!!! THERE SHOULD BE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST THEM, I JUST NEED TO FIND ENOUGH PEOPLE. HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED THIS???? IF SO..... LET'S GET THEM!!!!

I wouldn't even have given them 1 star, but that was the only choice I had. Trying to get Allstate to pay a claim is like trying to deal with a bunch of used car salesmen. This is absolutely riduculous. As of today, I am getting quotes to have all my ins switched to another company. I have never been treated the way I was treated today, by any other company. They talked to me like I was a 12 year old child throwing a temper tantrum. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I have no idea how they have any customers at all, but wait...yes I do, customers that don't have a claim to file. Those are the only ones!
