I enjoy working for aap but when the schedule comes out a day before you time start on Sunday its very hard to make plans on keep apt. I always though the schedule was to come out a week before

never shop there again

service is awful...been there three times in two weeks and the employees will walk off from the desk in front of customers, they order the wrong parts and then try to treat you as if you ordered the wrong one, stood inline for 15 minutes waiting on service, will tell you wrong pickup times for parts, wasting my time and gas, and just all around rude..will never shop there again. autozone will get my money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a starter on 6/30/13 i hAD TO RF\ETURN IT ON 7/3/13 STORE NUMBER 05989 IN MOREHEAD CITY NC . tHE SALEMAN TOLD I HAD A eng about to go bad and at the same time he told me i did not know how to put a starter on because the head crack. on a 1998 monte carlo 3,8 it has to pre drill hole in it .. on friday night i call them back and talk to Joe and told him that its was not lining up right . on sat i bought a new starter from carquest it line up right. on sat i call the so call corp office they told me to return it i did they made me feel like a fool. no new starter at this time . I HOPE PEPOLER THAT READ THIS STOP BUYING PARTS FROM THEM . lost customer ps they need to work autos. and trucks before working at a parts store

manager needed no response

I've been in the automotive repair industry for over 30 years.Just relocated and filled out a lenthy online application for advanced auto parts.I have visited the store that is looking for help and was informed by an employee that they never hire full time people and dont pay benefits ect. I'm still waiting for even a negative response to my application and to be honest after reading some of these post's im not interested in working for a company that seems to be falling apart QUICKLY.Thank you for not responding.

On more than one occasion, at this same location, I was rather rudely treated by the employees of this particular store. The abuse seems to center around something to do with a Knoxville police officer by the name of JD Hopkins. Somehow, your employees seem to be able to access some sort of "secret" web site, run by the Knoxville (Tn.) Police department. On this website, there seems to be several VERY derogatory remarks made by, (I'm told) by Officer J.D. Hopkins, about myself and my family. I am not amused by this juvenile behavior. If it is the policy of Advance Auto to require their employees to participate in this demeaning practice, please be so good as to tell me, so that I might avoid the store (and farther harassment) in the future.

After diong business with Advanced auto for the last 15 yrs. I was making a purchase 7/10/13 of a rear brake caliper, that were not going to honor there online price at the store? I bought the item anyhow, but I told the clerk that I wouldn't be doing business there any more as I travel 40 miles round trip and it wouldnt' pay me, not to save a few bucks for my effort.

Great Customer Service

I went to the local AAP store in town. I had the BEST customer service. He really took the time to help me in finding my problem. I will never go back to AutoZone or anyother place.

Returns

People, quit complaining. I work at AAP and everyone thinks they are mechanics. They try and cut corners and when they break the part cause they don't know what they are doing, they bring it back and want their money back. Stealing and lying is a sin.

I was a long time customer. Having purchased everything from sprark plugs to crate motors. On 6-28-13 at your hudson falls ny store between 6-730pm. I paid my last visit to your store. 1 other customer 3 associates working one young man on front register. A unpersonable man with tattoos and dark hair. And another man talking to customer/aquaintance?. Anyway I asked for some help with a simple universal battery clamp for an old 70 monte carlo . I am sorry for bothering this associate while asking for his help. I am sure everyone would want to come back to this unhelpful place

Don't work for advance auto or purchase parts from them they force dedicated long term team members to quit or fire them for unnecessary reasons and replace them with unskilled people in the automotive industry they have no business being in its a joke and I hope they go out of business

Veteran's Discount

I am extremely disappointed that you eliminated the Veteran's Discount program. Hopefully you can reinstate the program and show your support for all our military and its veterans. There are many other businesses who show their support for all troops and us veterans. Thank the troops and veterans for our freedoms in America. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

poor service

Poor service from the different managers in Shallotte,NC. store when ordering parts. Not there when I was told they would be and when I went to pickup wrong parts. Went there 6 different trips when should have been 2. Still didn't get part I wanted, Too frustrated.

competitive prices???

Today I went in my local Advance Auto parts store to get the parts to change my oil. I got the filter and the oil Valvoline 5w-20 maxlife, great oil in my opinion. I change my oil and later that day im in wal mart wandering around in the automotive section there. I see the same oil Valvoline 5w-20 maxlife motor oil then i notice the price!!! my GOD!!! a quart at advanced auto cost me $6.59 a quart at wal mart would have cost me $4.97. Looks like i'll be buying my tune up fluids and supplies at wal mart from now on. Very disappointing Advance Auto

Buying parts

Today I decided that I will never step foot in a advanced auto again.The Oswego and Fulton stores are terrible! They tell you they have parts you drive there they don't. I order a muffler it took a week when it came in it wasn't a muffler and they tried to argue.went to honda ordered a muffler no problems.one week before bought a ball joint for a car not even close.once they figured out what a muffler was they wanted $147. For a walker.the same one on e bay goes for $80.

get a grip!

Have you noticed that when you walk into an advance store now that there is no one at the counter? Thats not the managers fault. Its corporate! Tripping over dollars to save pennies! That said, save your receipt and most of you wont have a problem! This sence of entitlement you all have is way out of hand to!!!!! Oh yah, buy the way, 1969 ford brakes wont fit a 1950 you idiot!!! Quit reading thoes hot rod forums!!!!!!!!
