My 10 year old "popular" 5'2" 120lb all muscle athletic daughter has to purchase a large in this store (not the kids store). After reading this CEO's comment we are taking our business elsewhere. Wish I had read it in 2006. We would have never started shopping there to begin with. There is alot better quality and designer cloths out there for her to wear that are available to kids of all sizes. Abercrobie is teaching a great leason to all our children.

Ummmmm....really? I wish I had known about the CEO,s comments back in 2006. I have always hated this store( loud music, overpriced, rude staff). But shopped there for my kids. This guy made comments about other people when he should have looked in the mirror at what a hideous looking freak he is. Weird. No more money from me

Oh well

Well I live in Honolulu Hawaii, where there is a melting pot of people of different races, shapes and sizes. It is sad that in 2013 that we still have people that are still discriminating against those that are different than them. Are we ever going to learn. I understand the right to free speech and we all have the right to say. Is there ever going to be a time when we as people can think outside of ourselves and consider our fellow brothers and sisters that are different than us. SHAME ON YOU AND THE REST OF US!

Jerks & Idiots

I've been treated like trash in their stores when going in to buy things. The staff is always rude and talks to me like they are doing me a favor. Now I see they won't carry larger sizes because they dont' want their brand represented by fat people? Well I'm 6 ft tall and I wear a large size because I'm tall and I'm chesty, not because I'm FAT. This company is sending the wrong message to people and I will never, ever buy anything there ever again. You people are a bunch of pigs.

Ms.

The CEO of A & F needs to be reassessed--his views of who should enter "his" store are narrow, prejudiced and harmful to so many people. He has probably, singlehandedly, done more damage to your store than any other problem your store might face. What a complete fool! And you are foolish to have hired him.

All of you people need to get a life. Why doesn't someone get on Lane Bryant for not selling a size 4,6,8!!!, It shouldn't be acceptable that the average women is a size 14, that's fat and not healthy. If a store wants to cater to a certain size they have every right. When growing up there was a store called the 5,7,9 and that's the only sizes they carried! Move on people and if you can't fit onto Abercrombies clothes then don't shop there!

Love the new campaign idea, head to your local Goodwill stores or garage sales, buy all the A&F clothing you can find and donate it to the homeless.

Douchebags

Only people who achieve such acute limited excellence at 21 where everything afterwards smells of anti-climax are ought to wear these clothes. Fortunately for me, my self-confidence is not small enough to denote I NEED to wear an image.

Fitch the homeless

I am 5ft 4 inches and weigh 103 lbs, I vow to never purchase anything from Abercrombie & FItch and Hollister again unless its to donate to the homeless. I urge celebrities and everyone who can to donate all of there Abercrombie clothes to the homeless. FItch The Homeless!!!

Children's Wear

As a "large" grandmother, who spends too much money on her grandchildren, I want you to know I will not spend another penny on your clothing. Diversity, funny you talk about that on your website... My grandchildren will not receive another piece of clothing with your brand on it from me. My God I might be seen in your store then branded a "Cool" Grandmother! I am going to the thrift store and consignment shops and going to buy all the AF stuff I can find and give it to the homeless.. I do a lot in my community for homeless and they need to be branded "Cool".

Fat chicks

I'm disgusted by the article of Mike Jeffries view of fat chicks. I have not stepped foot into an Abercrombie store for 10+ years (since high school) and after reading the article, I will never step foot in your store again. That's not because I'm fat, actually I'm the same weight as I was when I did shop there many moons ago it is because of the simple fact of Mike Jeffries' heartless, rude, unbelievable and very discriminatory article.

G

OK Mike Jeffries, do you have a marketing campaign aimed at people who look like Shrek? Because you sure do.

ad with young people

Your ad with the two young people with out shirts and the girl laying on top of a guy is so repulsive. I would never buy your product agin. And we wonder why our young people have no morials well here's your sign.

PURE IGNORANCE

I for one will never and have never purchased anything under your brand name. I read your article today with regards to larger people and it makes me sick that someone in charge of a multi-million dollar enterprise with obviously a high level of education could be so ignorant and disgusting. Education and the way you show yourselves does not obviously mean a damn thing in this society because this yet again is the lowest of the lows. How dare you make people feel so inhuman; like we dont exist. Yes we; I am a larger person but was thin most of my life and thank the Lord I didnt purchase your over-priced SKINNY clothing. I will posting the article over and over so it will go worldwide!

Don't shop this brand

It's poor quality for the price. You can get MUCH better quality, style and deals at American Eagle outfitters.

Abercrombie & Fitch Fair Oaks Mall, Fairfax Virginia

I quickly ran into this store to buy a 14 year old boy a gift certificate. Once I got past the strong cologne smell and the loud music I had to search the store for someone to help me. No one at the counter so a 'stock' employee got someone 'from behind the back'. After probably a good five minutes, a young man and young lady came to the register and i requested a gift certificate. Here is the conversation.."Have you seen our gift cards?" I said, no why? "because these are the only ones we have", as she showed me the gift card of a young man w/ naked torso and a girl hanging on him. So I said.. 'do you think a 14 year old boy would appreciate this?' and her reply was 'well you can draw something on it'. I couldn't believe my ears.. DRAW something on it, like what Suspenders, A Shirt, WHAT? Maybe they should provide clothing, like the old paper dolls that we can choose WHAT we might want to cover up this model with. So I get the demographic here but come on people.... The customer service here was awful and this poor girl behind the counter got an earfull. It would have better to have said nothing at all. DRAW ON IT.... GEEEEZH why not provide more appropriate age specific gift cards. The advertising here promotes every thing bad about image and morals for a young person. OH Wait... before I left the young lady asked would I like to be on their email list. Poor girl.... I just looked at her and said, this is a sad sad situation.

No Holds??

My son, daughter, and I selected about a dozen items today at the store at Westfarms Mall. We needed to run to a different store and politely asked the sales associate to hold our items until close. She rudely replied that that was not their policy. No apologies. So, we left the entire pile of clothes. We later returned to locate three if the items again to purchase. My son was so annoyed that he had to search the items again, he insisted he wanted nothing. The company lost several hundred dollars worth of business today and far more in the future. I have worked quite a bit in retail in the past...JCrew, Pottery Barn, AE, etc....and ALWAYS held merchandise for customers. It is a ridiculous policy, if one at all.

Poor customer service

I spent a great deal of time trying to ascertain the type, cut, and style of a pair of jeans I wanted to purchase. Two customer service reps couldn't help me and when I asked to speak to a supervisor my request was ignored. I will not buy anything with your label on it.

Horrible corporate set up . Bate and switch with false advertising unless you read the fine print and even then it is questionable. Will never buy an article from this company. Also what's up with the unhappy rude sale persons. They seem miserable and I've been to more than one location. No smiles. No personalities !

Employee training

Could not get through the company voice tree to discuss employee training. That is 20 minutes I'll never get back!
