I got a sofa and love seat from the aarons on wabash ave in maryland. For one the sofa and love seat cushions are falling apart I have called and told the manager of this they said they would order new cushions they never did. Second I was four days late due to internet problems( i called to see if i could make a payment over the phone they told me NO i have to come in well I couldnt not with a sick child throwing up and all) Now im being called four times a day telling me that I only paid half which isnt true i made the full amount. They are saying I owe them 20.some dollars, then I get a call stating i owe 19.72 and now I got an email from Aarons stating I owe them 54 dollars I looked at the agreement and it states as follows"If I fail to make a timely renewal payment, this agreement will automatically terminate. I may reinstate it without losing any rights or options by paying all renewal payments,all other charges and a reinstatement fee of $5.00, which I owe within 5 days of the missed renewal payment date.However I also can voluntarily return, surrender, or make the leased property available for pickup within my reinstatment period..." Im due the payment on the 15th I made the payment on the 19th (4 days) the office was closed on sunday. Im within the limit to be late. This isnt my first time having something from aarons I got things from the one in el paso which never did this. They were very kind people there. Here its a nightmare they are rude people who are only thinking of their self is this the image Aarons want out in the public eye? I have informed friends, family, and the military (im a military spouse) of aarons and how they treat customers. You should be embrassed of your customer service.

In May 2010 my husband and I started renting a set of bunk beds and a area rug from Aaron's. We had been late once since then, which of coarse we received 3-4calls a day until payment was made. On the 20th of Sept our payment was due, we received a call from one of the employees at the Barrie, Ontario store asking us when we would be in. We were completely annoyed by this and said we'd now be in on the 24th to pay the bill. Right up till the 24th we received multiple calls in regards to our payment, we then asked them to arrange to pick up their stuff which we got quite the hassel about. We then did not hear from them, we arranged for them to pick up on Oct 2 2010, which they did not arrive. They then made arrangements to pick up on Oct 6 2010 between 3pm-6pm, we received a call at 5pm to state they would not be here due to accident with truck. Made arrangements for them to pick up again on Oct 8 2010 between 330pm-6pm. When we called to confirm got told this was not suitable for their timing(schedule). It has been rescheduled for Oct 14 2010 between 3pm-6pm, I was stuck on hold just for another woman to come on phone and ask if we would be paying for merchandise to that date. I have asked for merchandise to be picked up on Sept 24 2010, why am I being asked to pay for it? The store manager is very ignorant, rude and has very poor customer service skills. This is at the Barrie store in Ontario.

Aarons operates on a "lease" program, NOT payments. With a lease you DO NOT have a grace period. Maybe the Aarons managers don't do a good job explaining this when you "close" your agreement. ALL "renewals" (payments) are due ON OR BEFORE either the 1st or the 15th (NO other dates are EVER used). If your car insurance is due on the 15th and you don't pay it and you're in an accident on the 16th, what happens? Your insurance will NOT pay for the damage and you go to court and are fined for not carrying insurance. As far as "warranties" or merchandise not working properly..if you're lease is expired (payment late), then your lease has "EXPIRED" making the warranty bad (just like NO insurance) until you renew. The contracts spell this out very clearly.

I wonder if the name Aarons is one assigned to a thug, this ishow aarons store managers and assistants operate, they will make promises to you that the corporate office has no knowledge of, and will call if you are 20 minutes late with a payment even when your payment history reflects on time payments. The corporate office must be the lead on how to and when to contact comsumers, 8am to whenever the caller is tired or preparing for the next cocktail. Aarons should be investigated by consumer affairs, or better still by the clients, and stock holders to determine if this is who they want to represent their name. Aarons has for the longest time (based on the complaints) been a organization that is more like a loan shark, or a band of thugs that bully, intimidate, and whatever other means they see fit to get the payment, now I understand, you have their merchandise and they want the money, by all means they should recieve payment due, but not like gangsters. Oh by the way they will try to pass off used items in place of new items, so check the items very closely, and when done with them never, never, ever recommend or go to another Aarons, and if you have any sons never give them that name, or legally have it changed. Aarons shame on you and your ill trained staff at all national and local locations.

Wish I could go lower for my store.I had rented a laptop from aarons august the first and since I paid for a month I kept exactly to date.I went and traded the laptop for a dekstop, mind you both @ 299 managers special, The manager told me before I make my payment which was Sept.1,2010 of $46.xx bring the laptop in so I did exactly as she said took it back swapped out.For 2 months Aarons has got this payment on the first.I have been called for the last six days not including sunday.Why they telling me they dont have a copy of the payment HHHMMMM thats funny cause I got my receipt(2)for this month of the payment.Its not my job nor my duty to help them keep they paperwork straight now what is my duty is to keep mine.I have also started jotting down every single time they contact me.I have not inquired aout anything else so why am I being harrased so the next time I go there itwill be to pay a payment.Not to take them my copy of the receipt. i have been with aarons for quite some time now,i am a loyal customer, i love there products,if you are having financial problems of paying for your furniture,just call aarons and talk to them in a very polite voice,tell them your cituation,what youre going thru,some people dont call them, or go over to the office,or open the door for them,i think as long as youre honest with them they will work with you,like now thats what i'm trying to do,i have a little financial state right now myself,but i always manage to pay them no matter what,thats because i lovemy furniture,and never want to ever have to go thru what i went thru before,having your furniture taken away infront of everybody,but aarons is a good descebnt company.i trust them deeply,and thats my opinion of them.

bought a dryer in 07 was told it was new recently found out it was used aarons reps say thats to bad im stuck with it and thats it bad bussiness will be persueing withthe law its called theft by deception

I rented a lawnmower on a six months lease/ the same as last year. This year I was delivered a lawnmower that was making some sort of noise- notation is noted on delivery paper. Well, the end of July it was making a loud noise. Aaron's picked it up to be repaired. Several calls during the month of Aug. will no results on the repair. Finally, I discussed dropping the lease, as I only had one month left (Sept.) Now, comes the complaint. Aaron's says they can't refund my Aug. payment. They will give me a free month next year. This is bull!!! My lease agreement says I will make all payments, unless break lease. The lease says their committment to me is to provide a mower with these payments. I WANT A REFUND!!!!! This is not the end of this situation.

I PURCHASED A WASHER MACHINE FROM AARON'S, INC. THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE BRAND NEW. THEY SOLD ME A WASHER WITH THE WRONG SIZE HOSE. IN DOING SO, THE HOSE CAME OFF THREE TIMES CAUSING A LARGE AMOUNT OF WATER TO FLOOD MY LIVING ROOM AND KITCHEN FLOORS. NOW, I HAVE LAMINATE FLOORING THAT HAS BUBBLED UP DUE TO THE WATER. MY TILE IN MY KITCHEN HAS A FUNNY SMELL THAT I HATE TO COOK IN THERE DUE TO THE WATER DAMAGE. I AM PATIENTLY WAITING FOR AARON'S TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE SITUATION, AND IT HAS NOT HAPPENED AS OF THIS DATE. I AM STILL PAYING FOR MY FLOORING, AND NOW IT HAS BEEN DAMAGED.

i had leased frontloader washer and dyer through the dade city office , i have had them a yaer only one year this is the 3rd time they picked them up to repair them and its been 4 weeks and still not fixed they havenet called or nothing ,but they have no problem calling demading a payment from u though. do not go through aarons they dont stick behind nothing they say or do go to rent a center or buddys.STAY AWAYT FROM AARONS IN DADE CITY,FL.

We recently moved to Ottumwa and rented a house without appliances. We have leased a washer & dryer from Aarons for over 3 months. Shortly after renting the washer and dryer, our computer crashed. We decided to lease a desktop from Aarons. In July, we received a letter in the mail. The heading states, "CHRISTMAS IN JULY, ALL JULY!" Then it goes on to say "What deals to expect: 2 months off any new 12,18, or 24 month agreement AND $50 off your FIRST payment!!!!" Well, we could not find a full size refrigerator as quick as we wanted to and was using a portable refrigerator. We called Ottumwa Aarons and requested the smallest refrigerator they had. I was told that one would be coming on the truck the following Wednesday and it was scheduled for delivery at 3:00pm 0n July 29, 2010. The delivery guys were at our door at 1:00pm on July 29th unexpectedly. I accepted that, but there is a difference between 1:00pm and 3:00. I was occupied. I did not watch every move they made, but they did attempt to bring the refrigerator in the back door and they could not get it through the back doors, so they brought the refrigerator to the front door and was able to get it through the door. I was in another room when I signed the lease. I trusted that the lease was in order and signed it. Afterwards, I inspected the refrigerator and there was a large scratch on the door and two dents on the right side in back. I was told by one of the movers that they would probably discount the refrigerator or exchange it. I did not hear anything back about it. I called twice, then on the third call I sent pictures of some of the scratches and deMy husband and I have recently moved to Ottumwa and rented a house without appliances. We have leased nts on the refrigerator to a cell phone. Then I was told that they would order a replacement refrigerator and it would be on the truck 08/04/2010. We did not receive a replacement refrigerator. I was told that, "We can work with you on the refrigerator." I asked at least two Ottumwa Aarons employees about the letter we received. I was told that the letter was a sale just for the WEEKEND before we leased the refrigerator. I found the letter two days ago and the heading said that the sale was for all of July and we leased the refrigerator in July. Well, this is a problem. We have three separate leases and they are not consolidated. We were promised a replacement refrigerator nine days ago and did not get it. We received a letter that said we would get 2 months off a new agreement and $50 off the first month in July and did not get it. We are late with our payment for the desktop computer. I called and tried to make arrangements where we could make a double payment next month, including a late fee, naturally. I was told no basically. My husband is getting a lump sum from SSI next month and I am getting a check for college. This has turned into a huge problem. We have been called several times and someone left a contact slip in our door today, 08/13/10, that stated we had another $7.00 fee for the house call in an attempt to, "Discuss Our Account". We are good customers and trusted Aarons to deliver good products, not from the Scratch and Dent Sale. We had a problem with our finances for August, which will change in September. We asked for one month to catch up on the computer payment. I don't want the damaged refrigerator, I want the replacement I was promised. I want the 2 months off a new lease with $50 off the first payment. I feel after all the stress, we deserve an extension on our computer payment, which will eventually be one month behind. At this point, it isn't even two weeks late. The delivery of the refrigerator is nine days late. I can scan and email the letter, refrigerator lease and the house call slip, if necessary. Anybody want to see the documents? Just plain bad business practices!

Aarons Myrtle Beach SC I purchased a rent to own 60" Mitsubishi 1080p DLP TV. I paid all fees as agreed on time. From Day 1 did not work properly. After some calls the TV was replaced with a 57" loaner after 3 weeks. It has been 3 weeks and after several promises of a call back from the Manager my husband called and recieved a estimated return date. We have had this account for a 60" TV are paying for a 60" TV but have a 57" loaner. Aarons Manager refuses to compensate, saying "Be Happy you even Have a TV rather than Nothing" what a Joke-- My next move will be the Attorney Generals Office -- File for Fraud and lost time-- I will file also with the Department of Consumer Affairs and the BBB -- I have the Documents to back it and am Paid through September 1st.

I bought a new washer a month ago from Aaron's in Oxford Maine. I paid cash for it. I used it maybe 5 times and the washer died and will not work. I called Aaron's to let them know. They sent out a repairman. THe repairman said the washer wasn't getting enough power to run and then left. I hired an electrician to come to my home to check the electric. There are no problems in my home. I called Aaron's back to let them know. They refuse to refund my money, they refuse to give me another washer. I am stuck with broken washer and Aaron's won't do a dam thing about it. I am pissed!!!! I am going to do what ever I can to fight this. THey are crooks the way they treated me...

ok my name is kaila hayden and im not sure if youre the person i need to talk to. I recently moved to fayetteville nc from alabama. Now i had furniture from the aarons there and paid for and recieved amazing customer service. now the first time i went into the aarons here it is on pamalee dr in fayetteville nc, my husband and i walked out because we were never greeted to begin with. I called back and the young lady named tabitha answered, i questioned her about the bedroom set and her answer was well i dont know because the sets get moved around. I then asked who would know and she huffs and says hold on very rudely. She came back and said i have to come back in the store and pick it out and when i went inside it was still in the same location, where as it never got moved like she said. Now I did pick out a brand new set and she said i would get the bedroom suite off the floor because they didnt have any in stock and she reassured me it was brand new. And when I had picked out the furniture it shoudlve been same day delivery because it was only 12 when i was done filling out paperwork. Now i got told that they would deliver it the next day (friday) between 11-3 and i called at 230 the following day to be told that their truck was broke down but yet they dont call people to let them know they werent delivering my furniture. And yet again it was tabitha who i spoke with and got a very rude experience with her and i said that i wanted a refund because of her rudeness and how they couldnt do anything they said they could well her response is if this is a problem you can come pick it up yourself as rude as she could be.Then she puts me on hold and comes back and magically says oh we can deliver them today. Well after they delivered the furniture the young man says on his way out oh im sure you heard about our truck problems by the way which was a smart ass comment not needed. well my husband and i then go look at our "brand new" furniture and theres nothing new about it. Theres was wood chipped out on the big dresser and paint chippings on the others and they all had gashes in them looking like someone scratched them with a screwdriver. There were holes in the paneling on the back and my "brand new" mattresses had a big tear on it. Needless to say im not happy at all.The delivery drivers never even gave us our receipts .Then i call back to complain and the assisstant manager says theyll pick it up monday first thing, and tabitha had told her we wanted used furniture which was NEVER the case and even used im sure aarons never wouldve sold this crap. well they hadnt showed by noon so we went up there and the manager said it would be picked up tonight at 7 .Now its 8:51pm monday night and they said theyre scheleduled to pick up my furniture tomorrow after i spoke to the manager today in the store who had said she wouldnt even be there today and she said I would get a full refund well Im now without my money and have damaged crap in my home. The delivery guys also left trash all in my yard. Well the manager asked where we lived and they said they thought our house was on base and theyre the ones that delivered before so they are playing games and i want my money back or i will be getting my attorney involved. I ended up getting furniture from the other aarons on hope mills road and theyre service isnt good either.One the young ladies never greeted us either until some employee came back from lunch and told them to come over to us and the girl looked like she was zoned out on something she wasnt listening because just like tabitha she put us down for wrong furniture which was only the mattress and boxspring so we have to wait a week until the rest of the furniture comes in friday,and two we got supposedly same day delivery and they said theyd be here tonight by 4 and its 9:03pm and no furniture is here surprise surprise.Everytime i call its a problem with these people and i want something done about this. I am trying to get the president of aarons contact info because im taking this the highest i can go.My husband has taken pictures of all the furniture and unless something is done about this i will be making this public. This is something that needs to be taken very serious because the staff at these locations are ridiculous and again i want something done about the bull ive had to put up with and go through. Ive never eperienced customer service at its lowest and i believe aarons should now be on the top 5 of worst service ever and its left a bad taste in my mouth. I even had taken off friday for this and i am more than pissed about this and im sure you understand why. I need a response immediately and it would be more than appreciated for someone to actually do something about this. I will email again if neither aarons shows up. They also scratched when moving things in and that had been freshly painted. I would appreciate it to just not pay for a bedroom set or something with all that ive had to go through with this company.

my daughter went to rent a small used sofa at aarons she say one she liked but was going to put deposit down next day.went next day with her with money but come to find out for a small used sofa that had a tear in the front they wanted 99.98 a month for 12 months that was ridiculas !!! but by the time i knew it she had given aarons the money to them. we walked out talked came back and told them we changed our mind. they said they were sorry but they couldnt give her the money back that we had to wait for about a week to mail it to us!!!!! mind you no contract was signed only money exchanged.we got very upset wanted home office number and they give us this no. 1/800/796/2786we called that number to complain right in front of the emplyee and that number is no good !!!!! manager was on vacation district manager would not answer fianally he gave up on me and returned the money he was a very inpolite man name chris we live in seguin texas.we will never ever go to aarons again you people need better employees and managers that you can find when you need them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have rented many items from your stores in Ohio. I am late on a payment by 4 days and you guys are calling MY JOB? Call me!!!!! I would be more than happy to talk to you!!! Don't call my job looking for me before you try ME!!! I talk to the manager and all he can say is did we have your correct number???? Hell yes you had it!!!! If you can avoide them then do business with some one other than Aaron's!!!!!

i think aaron's is full of cow for how the treat some customers that have been loyal customers but when they loose their jobs or get behind on payments they quick to harrass take goods. have a heart to work with your customers. if it wasn't for us you wouldn't have a job.....

Dear Sirs or Ma'am, I would like to start this letter off by saying that I have been a very satisfied customer for eight long years and have paid off several items in your store in Americus ,Ga. for my home. In the past I've enjoyed purchasing things from AARON'S. But not any more because of one of your associates his name is RON, sorry I don't know his last name. Well here's what happen. My husband was laid off from his job in November. right after we made a purchase of a 42'' big screen t.v. for our 12th anniversary. We continued to make the payments as long as we could on time. well needless to say with his unemployment coming to an end it was getting a little harder, we keep in touch with the store as much as possible. I have had to quit one of my jobs do to medical reasons I don't care to discuss. I'm still working at Lowe's part-time. Even with that job it is hard for me. Well your employee Ron took it upon himself to call one of our references that we put down to call just in case we could not be reached, well sometimes they called and we were not home. but I always called them back sometimes it was late when we got from work late my husband went to school fulltime and work side jobs to earn more money.I guess he called my in-laws and threatned that I was going to jail for skip and run. Well my mother in-law was so upset her blood pressure went up.. my husband and I are furious with AARONS and RON. When I realized the reason for the call, right away called the store I had mailed a payment to the store in money order form but was told it was not been posted to the account, it was not recieved. well we had to go out of town for a few days I understand you have to contact references once in a while, but not like that. I contacted Sabastien GM right away, and we took care of the misunderstading of the money order that they did not get. Sabastien promised me that this would be taken care of immediately. well a little time has went by and we have continued to make our payments and to try and stay caught up. I told the GM that Idid not want RON calling or coming to my house again. not to mention the time he come to my house for a payment that was a day or two behind and waited outside my home and followed us to the bank like we were criminals. I did not appreciate that at all. Well we have honored our commitments to Aarons. but RON did not he has continued to call and when I asked what he was doing calling my house, he argued with me and told me he will call my in-laws again and as much as he wanted. well I have stared to laeve these conversations on my machine. Iplan on calling a lawyer. And no longer want the T.V. that we stuggled to pay for even though we can not afford to keep any more or want if we are going to be constantly harrassed.
