you people are something else. i payed on a frezzer and a 32 inch tv. and took both back. and got a credit. which i cant get.you have used tvs.and i wanted a used tv for my credit the tv was 540.00 i had a credit of 350.00 and was going to pay the difference which i was not alowed to do.and there is nothing in the store i want.you say i have to get a tv of equal value or a freezer of the same. what a crock.if a person has a credit they have a credit to be used as they see fit. you people are full of s t. will never get anouther thing from you people. sinciely shirly g. and am going to call the head office to see if we cant gt this resolved.

KINGSHIGHWAY STREET CAPE GIRARDEAU MO 63703 Friday, October 01, 2010 To whom it may concern: On the date 10/28/2009, we were in your store, and intended to get a washer, and dryer. We were assisted by Jamal, to find the set we wished to purchase. Wile this was taking place, we didn’t have a problem. At the time we came to dealing with the lease to own agreement (the contract), our care was transferred to Joe, the now former store manager. At this time, we were left in the office that is to the left and behind the desk for over an hour. In this time, My wife, Amber was suffering from, a medical condition, “hypoglycemia”, and needed to get something to eat. We were told that it wouldn’t be much longer, and that Joe would be with us soon. Another Half an hour had passed, now, making the time an hour and a half before we spoke with Joe. In this time, Amber’s condition, had degraded, and was an expressed concern of ours. When we started speaking with Joe, the manager that was responsible for showing us the washer, and dryer came in the office interrupting us, and stated that the information we were going over was not the right information, and that the dryer he felt was used. There was at no time any mention of the washer being pre-leased, or owned. I directly asked if this had any affect on the price of the dryer, and if they could find out about the use of the washer. Joe told me that this had no effect on the price of the washer, or dryer, and the posted price, was the price to charge. For a time line of the repairs, and transactions that have taken place from this point on out, Please reference the letter sent to Bank of America giving a time line of events. Seeing that the fact that I have had to dispute the charges with Bank of America, and use the charge dispute options provided by my bank, as a means of witch to deal with the problem, and that in doing so, I have been told that some of the charges took place outside of the guide lines for the time frame for disputes to take place. As a result I have had to make payments for months of witch I could not use what I was paying for. I was provided loaners, of witch there are documented problems with them as well. I have attempted to comply with the service agreement set forth by Aarons, and the guide lines of the bank. I have been failed by both, and am now left with no option but to deal with this problem in the one remaining way left for me as a consumer. Sincerely, Cory O’Connor

I live in Malvern,Ar, and we are renting to own some new furniture,couch love seat,a couple day later we decieded to add a new recliner to the agreement,we contacted the store and they had to order one,about a week or so later the chair was delivered, and within one hour the chair broke,we contacted the dealer, and i had looked on the internet {Arrons} and found another we liked ,i give the item # to the associate at the store,he said the next thursday the chair would be in,well its was not,he stated that it would be the next week,well still not their, so i called them and said the broke chair is not even usable, so they said they had another chair he could bring me,and they did,and they brought it to my home,and low and behold this chair also has a malfunction,we noticed this while the delivery guy was still here,and they said they would leave it for a few days till the other one comes in,well quess what that was two weeks ago, Im have contacted the consumer relation dept,and if the chair i ordered is not here by next Thursday, They will be incharge. Yes over the yrs i have had some credit issues,but as far as i now my credit is alot better,these were medicial bill related issues. It seems like Arrons and stores like them pray on consumers like myself. This is totally out of line.

I rented a couch, love seat, 2 end tables, 2 lamps and a coffee table. When I first went into the store I purposely went towards the merchandise not previously rented. I chose to rent an entire set but noticed scratches in the coffee table and requested when everything was delivered I wanted a new coffee table without scratches. The GM offered to discount the coffee table with the scratches but I told her BI. I wanted one without scratches. The furniture was delivered 2weeks later which was my choice. The moving guys wound up ripping the cloth underneath the couch, the coffe table delivered was the sane one from the store with scratches and both lamps had scratches. I called the store while the movers were. Still her and advised the GM about the problem. The GM said " oh I thought you wanted the coffe table" I said "No, I told you I wanted one without scratches". The GM said she would order new lamps and Coffee table Which allgad scratches. She kept her word and the new furniture was delivered the following week however the rip underneath then couch still isn't fixed. I gave called as well as gone in and spoke personally with the service manager and was assured he would personally take care of it. It has now been 2 months since the movers ripped it and I AM STILL WAITING. I absolutly will NEVER recommend this company to anyone !!!!

Aarons IN Tucson Az. I swear that the first time I thought this was a good idea. I began leasing a computer from your store on Thornydale, what happens the computer breaks, they blame it on me. But no after I bring it back they run tests find out that they gave it to me in wrong working order. So yes NOT my fault, then I had been given a computer as a Loaner for a week. The computer they loaned me erased important information from my emails. Things got deleted if I logged in, WTF was that about. I lost important work. I call and they gave me the run around about a new computer. I had to wait another week before it came, but no it wasn't new it was the exact one I had before. AND GUESS what It still doesn't work properly. Seriously I should get a month for free like they had said, with a brand new computer. But no I was treated like my money wasn't worth thier time. Being a former employee of Aarons I can agree with most of the complaints that are written here. It is true that you are leasing to own so there is no "grace period" it is stated in the contract. Their collection practices are out of line in most stores. Their are a few that do follow the law that has been set for collection procedures. In order to have any satisfaction things need to be brought to the attention of Attorney General's of the state that you live in. Employees will not say anything for fear of losing their jobs. Ex-employees are looked at as though they are trying to get revenge. It is not ok to speak with your neighbors about your account, it is not ok to threaten you with arrest or going to jail. My suggestion is that if you receive a call always record the conversation so you have proof of the way it was handled. As far as racial...Look to see how many minorities are in positions of higher management. Women included!!! General Managers have very little authority within their stores when they order merchandise it has to be approved by their Regional Managers and most promotions within the store also. As long as people have problems with credit places like Aaron's will always be around Why would people pay 2 to 3 times the amount of what it is worth because they need it or they just simply want it now. I feel for the people who have bad service I was lucky I worked in a store that prided it's self in good customer service. But I do know many horror stories from others and some pretty bad scare tactics used for collections.

Me and my wife got some furniture and a tv from the Batavia NY store. We have never been late once and have our payments directly taken out of our account. This went great for a couple months until they brought this new guy in. We pay on the 15th, One the 3rd they showed up at my house with the truck to pick the stuff up. We straightened that out finally. Now they dont take the payment out when they are supposed to and when I call them to find out why, they tell me I have to sign the forms for them to do that( which I already did when I first got the stuff). I have probaby signed those forems to have my payments atomatically taken out 5 times and they still screw up every month. This month they didnt take the payment out till nov 22( its supposed to come out on the 15th), and they also took more than the amount of my of my payment. The Batavia NY store is horrible since they hired that new guy! I will never get anything from there again.

I also have found the same brand names that you "rent" for purchase at lower prices. I have a 52 inch PHillips flat screen and buy the time I finish paying for it I will have paid over $1000.00 for it. I can buy it on post at Ft. Stewart for 699.00 and probably will after my three month rental is over. The quality of your merchandise leaves much to be desired. I am also renting a washing machine which will end up costing me, if I keep it, over 700.00. I can go next door(in Brunswick, Ga.)to your store and get both a washer and dryer for 700. I also have noticed that you have a high turnover rate in your store in Brunswick. You also need to screen your employees better. Some of them are actually mentally ill.!

I a renting a sofa and Love seat also a television I have been paying over $260 dollars a month for these items I became ill in oct 2010 and miss a payment I called Chris the manager and talk to him and gave him my new phone number also my livingroom set will be payed off this month and my television will be payed off in December the Aarons in Dallas texas the number is 972-656-1577 I have been a customer with Aarons for years for years I brought my washer and dryer and my computer(which is payed for) they are so rude and have a naughty attitude I ask for a little time then I will pay both accounts up to date.

I go into Aaron's on Saturday to pick ouy a living room set, the representantive set up the delivery date for the following Monday between 10am-2pm. They call my job, landlord and one reference out of the five or so I gave. I call around 1:30pm to get an estimate on when might they be out and the rep tells me oh you did not pass the check we performed. I'm at this point shocked, I ask why he tells me to call back when the store manager comes back in from lunch. So I did. The store manager tells me oh well we spoke to your landlord he told us you had a 3 day notice to quit before and an evition that didn't go to court....Now at this point I'm in disbelief and mad as hell. I've never been late on my rent for one and the guy he may have spoke to is a new drunk manteinance groundsman, if anything. I don't know if he had me mixed up with another tenant especially since he just started working the premesis less than 2 months. So anyway I asked the store manager is there anyway if he spoke to either him again or the real owner could he re-review my application, he said yes. So after I went and spoke to my building's groundsman and asked him if he told Aaron's that of course he said no way and that he did not even say that or anything close he called Aarons in front of me and the racist store manager still did not approve my application. It's people like that that try to make it hard for others and stereotype certain individuals. Well all I can say is I sure won't recommend Aaron's to anybody I know, they missed out on a good potential customer with good payment history and a solid job in the medical field. But hey I won't stop until I feel justified. With the small city I live in all it takes is this review and a bad note in the daily rant paper and I can about guarantee the numbers will drop. It would not surprise me with these bad unprofessional business tatics if they go out of business.

I purchased a 65' TV and a stand from the Aaron's in Del City, Ok they then moved to Midwest City, Ok either way I will never rent, never refer, never step foot in another Aaron's again. This was the worst place I have ever been to. The customer service is horrible, I was told my payments were due on the 15th of the month but on the 1st they were calling me at least 3 times a day. One guy name Edwin left me a voicemail that said he would call the police on me and have me arrested for stealing there TV if I didn't call them back. If it wasnt for my credit I would not have paid this TV off. But lesson learned I won't do it again if my life depended on it.

I have been a good customer with Aarons and pay on time every month and also I have 4 items I am renting from u my problem is that I have a refrigrator that is too small and am exchanging for a bigger size and my problem is I have paid for this refrigerator on Saturday and this is now Tuesday and still no refrigerator and no call to tell me that they arent going to make it to deliver it on Monday and Tuesday sometime between 12-6 and was told Monday nite when called before they closed they would be here before 9 and again tonite Tuesday nite and it is 8:49 and still no call from them so if no refrigrator tonite then they can take all the stuff im renting and stick it where the sun dont shine this is no way to conduct business to a good customer ...

I AM NOT A REFERENCE ON THAT PERSONS ACCOUNT, BECAUSE I JUST HAVE NO PATIENCE FOR S**T LIKE THAT. I RETUNRED HOME TODAY FROM WORK TO FIND A NOTICE ON MY DOOR STATING THAT AARONS CAME HERE FOR A FRIEND OF MINE REGARDING HER ACCOUNT **I AM NOT A REFERENCE ON THIS PERSONS ACCOUNT** HOW THEY FOUND MY ADDRESS AND INFO I HAVE NO IDEA, BUT IT WAS VERY DISRESPECTFUL FOR THEM TO COME TO MY HOUSE REGARDING SOMEONE ELSE'S ACCOUNT, I HAVE NO OBLIGATION WITH THEM I HAVE SIGNED NO CONTRACT WITH THEM AND THEY STILL SOMEHOW DUG UP MY INFO AND CAME TO MY HOUSE. I am renting an All in one computer from Aaron's Rents here in Brooksville,Florida, I have been having issues with my health,and have been hospitalized twice in the past month. I an late on this months payment,and told two different Aaron's associates to take the computer,they did NOT.Now it's the end of the month,and I get a letter from Camille informing me to return the merchandise since I haven't held up my end of the contract,so I had my daughter call and tell them AGAIN to come pick the computer up,I was at a Doctors appointment,when I got home,she and my son,said that Camille told them,they would NOT come pick the computer up,until I made the payment. WHAT IS THAT???????????????????? I TELL YOU TO COME GET YOUR MERCHANDISE AFTER I GET A THREATENING LETTER,TO BE TURNED INTO THE COOPERATE OFFICE,IF I DON'T RETURN THE SAME COMPUTER THAT I HAD ALREADY TOLD TWO OF YOUR ASSOCIATES TO TAKE,AND THEY SAID THEY COULD'NT,NOW THE MANAGER CAMILLE TELLS US SHE WILL NOT PICK IT UP UNTIL I MAKE A PAYMENT??????????????????????? We have a new telephone number as of the end of September. It was obviously assigned previously to someone who had rented furniture from Aaron's. They call almost daily looking for previous owner of telephone number. Each time I explain that this is a new number for us - we have not ever rented or bought from Aaron's. I don't know where to go with this problem, but they are nasty people.

i read all the letters sent in by dissatisfied custumers and have to think how in the world this company is still in business well i have never been so discusted by a company than i am with the 1 located in shelbyville tn my son rented a big screen tv from this company made his pymts after a several months we were at his home watching it and it made a loud noise sounded like a gun going off he called arrons they picked it up brought a loaner which was old tv kept it for about a month my son called to see what was up and they said that the tv fell off thats how it got damaged which wasnt true i explained they said ok well 2 more wks passed still making pymts still no tv and the loaner kept going out so couldnt watch it well my son was going through alot and try to take his life luckly his attempt felled but has some issues with his health i called arrons to let them know what happen the exact words i get from these people are " how is he making his pymts" i brought my son home to take care of him and was making pymts on a tv he didnt even have 4 months have passed still no tv i called them to tell them to pick up the loaner tv my son will never be able to pay the tv cause he wasnt able to work i have been layed off and couldnt do it this company has the most rudest cold hearted blood sucking individuals i have ever meet in my life and i will never ever ever recomend arrons to anyone unless you like being treated like dirt
