I wouldn't rate Aaron's even a one star, this company is bogus and should not exist. We were buying furniture from Aaron's when our house burned down, now they are trying to sue us for the money owed. Claiming we kept the insurance money for the stuff we got from them and didn't give them a dime. When we gave them our insurance info and they said they will take care of their stuff. We didn't get money for the stuff from Aaron's. This is crap and I hope this company goes outta business

I rented from Aarons in Live Oak Fl.. We had purchased a lap top and washer and dryer. The washer would not work the very first day ,Our clothes got locked in it. They brought another washer, that goes out a week later. Aarons says as soon as they get the original washer fixed that would be the one they bring me and pick up the loaner. 3 months later heard nothing. Then My laptop goes out. I told them I need it back as soon as possible for I am in online school. 2 weeks later I call and they tell me they don't know anything about it yet. 2 weeks later I still no nothing.Granted they gave me loaners but them loaners kept crashing as well and did not have $400.00 worth of software on the other laptops. I never received the washer we were paying for of that laptop. After paying on them for 5 months. I returned the loaner washer and loaner laptop on separate months. They are now saying I did not turn the laptop in and I am still responsible for paying for it. I would not recommend anyone to Aarons

We finally reached the Corp. office after our local store told us they couldn't give out any info for them to a consumer. We have had several accounts ( all paid for except our new W/D set) we were promised 6 mo. free Tide laundry soap and they keep saying that it's a coporation thing not theirs. We used to feel well treated and now they treat us like S*#@t. We were harrassed for a late payment and when I told them it wasn't due for 2 more weeks , he said he would check into it and call me right back, guess what? no call or apology just a cold shoulder when we went in on time to make the payment. Times are hard and it's convenient for people to use these type of stores but with the treatment getting worse I'd rather wait and take my chances somewhere else. By the way I'm talking about the MT. Vernon, Wa. store.

WORDS CANNOT EXPLAIN THE DISAPPOINTMENT THAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED WITH THIS COMPANY.DESPITE THE UNPROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT THIS STORE DISPLAYS IS JUST THE TIP OF IT.ITS SOO SAD BECAUSE THIS IS CLEARLY NOT ABOUT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE,THIS COMPANY DOESNT CARE IF THEIR EMPLOYEES ARE IGNORANT AND HAVE NO COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS.PLEASE LET ME FILL YOU IN ON AN EXPERIENCE THAT I HAVE WITH AARONS!WHEN I NOTIFIED AARONS ABOUT MY 60 INCH PROJECTION SCREEN TV THAT THE SCREEN HAS BECOME EXTREMLY DARK, THEY WERE NOT SURPRISED AT ALL, IN FACT THEY INFORMED ME THAT TYPE OF TV USES A CERTAIN BULB THAT AFTER A PERIOD OF TIME BLOWS OUT.IT GETS BETTER! BECAUSE I WAS LATE WITH A PAYMENT(BY THE WAY THIS PAYMENT IS MY LAST PAYMENT LEFT ON THE ACCOUNT), THEY CONTINUED TO INFORM ME THAT THEY CANNOT SERVICE ME AT ALL UNTIL I MAKE MY FINAL PAYMENT.SO, NOT ARE THE INFORMING ME THAT THEY KNEW THIS BULB FREQUENTLY GOES OUT, AND THAT THEY BASICALLY DONT GIVE A DAMN UNTIL I MAKE MY LAST PAYMENT. AND ONCE I MAKE MY FINAL PAYMENT THEN THEY WILL PUT IN A ORDER FOR THIS BULB. TALK ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE. THIS IS TRULEY A LESSON LEARNED HOW THIS TYPE OF BUSINESS OPERATES.SO WITH THAT SAID , IF YOUR LOOKING FOR IGNORANT, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AARONS IS THE THE PLACE FOR YOU.

Very rude and unprofessional management....no clue what customer service is.

I read the posting from smalley on may 24th. I got same response from them. They told me all their merchandise was new and someone must of bought bugs in home or from neighbors. My babies are getting bit! This is a nightmare. I have to cough up the money to get rid of bugs. Why would I continue to pay for my bedroom set and it has bed bugs. All I no is I didn't have them before. Then all of a sudden. I haven't met anyone new. My parents or anyone in my family that has came over don't have them. So no thats not where they came from.

i rented from aarons about a month and a half ago i paid a week on what i had which was a bedroom suite living room suite and washer and dryer when they brought me the furniture that i picked out the couh when u sit on it u go straight to the floor and when i called to change it out they told me that they couldnt help me that i needed to talked to the manger and when i asked for them they was alway busy it was a month later when i did get ahold of the manger and that was only because i asked for the coorpate offices number then everytime they was suppose to come pick up the furniture they never did show up so i filed a complaint on them and still have there furniture sitting in my kitchen in my way so after i have waisted my time over and over again putting things off so they dont show up i will NEVER RENT FROM THEM AGAIN

I am sooo disappointed in Aarons (Syracuse, NY) I got a set of bunk beds for my daughters they were super excited about the beds but when the beds came they had gashes in the wood. When my daughter sat on the beds (to try them out) they got scratches from the wood. Aarons came out and replaced 2 of the rails. But the new rails were the same with gashes. I called Aarons and told them I wanted the beds picked up that I wasn't paying 2,000 dollars for JUNK. They refushed to pick them up, They told me I could buy them for $100.00 I told them NO just come pick them up. They sent 2 of there men to my house. The guys stood in the doorway to my daughters bedroom for a few seconds they claim they saw bedbugs (which is a lie, My house doesn't have bedbugs) I have since taking the beds down and put them in my basement. I have also gone else were and have gotten my daughters a beautiful bed set. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GET ANYTHING FROM AARONS. I STILL WANT THE BEDS PICKED UP.

I have washer and dryer combo with Aarons in Syracuse NY on Butternut Street, It's not paid for yet. I called Aarons because the lid on my washer is broke they said they dont come out to check them out anymore. They claim someone in my house broke it well there is NO KIDS in my house there is only 3 adult men that live in my house and we wouldn't brake it. They said to call County Wide to come fix it and Me and my 2 brothers would have to pay County Wide out of our pockets. We don't have the money to pay County Wide I thought Aarons was responiseable to fix things when it is not paid for yet.

Huntsville, Texas---- Aarons store just opened a few months ago. Horrible, untrained, unprofessional trashy employees sitting around eating on the furniture and playing video games. Waited an entire day for furniture to be delivered and finally that night only half of it showed up and was the used furniture from the showroom. Everybody blamed each other instead of just fixing the problem. Landon the store manager, was lazy and ignorant. They only cater to people who can not pay or afford a down payment and are at thier mercy as to what they can get. Looks good from the outside but on the inside is just abunch of uneducated white trash and hood rats waiting to steal your money... Go elsewhere if you can.

Poor management and very unprofessional in Conyers, Georgia hwy 138.

this place is a joke we have had an account there for nearly 2 years. tv is almost paid for laptop is completley paid for. but this month paid have a payment, on a by monthy payment schedule. had an emergency come up left town. was going to have us arrested if we didnt bring in atleast 5.00..dont get it i guess they want it back so they can sell it to another unknowing person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so my mother who has just had surgery had to take the money!?!

I have been a customer of Aaron's since 2003 when the first store opened up on dorchester. I have leased many items from them with no problem. this July 2012 I will be done with paying off my bedroom set and tv with only paying on my refrigerator and washer/dryer set. i got the washer/dryer set on the free month promotion and this is where the nightmare begin. i signed this new lease with a new manger that has come to that store. Who's name is Tom and has very poor customer sefvice skills. He was distracted with what the other employees where doing and how the answereing the phone instead of paying attention to me with signing a new lease. He got my delivery date set up and had the wrong items delivered to my house. when I called and dealt with the manger that has been dealing with me since 2003 and he got everything squared away for me with a new delivery date. the day that my product was suppose to be delivered which my husband and I took the day off for. I recieve a phone call from Tom asking why am I on the delivery papers and yelling at me and refusing to listen to the mistake that he made. To him alsmost forcing me to get the washer/dryer set that I agreed over the phone to get due to not wanting to wait two weeks. He also then told me that the items that I did want AArons didn;t have them which I was told two days proir that the store had them. because i didn't recieve the items until two weeks out Tom promised me that my payment wouldn't be until the 15th of the next month. Now I have only been late with agreements a few times in the 8 years that I have product form this company and because I was 8 days late he told me that if I didn;t have an extar 100 dollars that he was going to take the washer/dryer set from me. He was so rude and yelling at me like I was his child and then told me now he's not going to take the payment and set up for the delivery guys to come take the product from me. My mother called there to try to pay the amount on her card and Tom got on the phone and yelled at my 55 year old mother. Where in this company is this handled. I can truly say that Tom is not fit for this store within the urban community and the employees there look so miserable when he working.

I sent this email to the only email I could fine on Aaron's website. Mr. Hayes, My name is Amanda Johnson. Last Thursday, my brother and I visited the Aaron's Store in Kinston, NC. We were looking to purchase/rent a dryer. The price was affordable as such, that we decided to begin a rental agreement and purchase our dryer (under what seemed to be reasonable terms). On Thursday, 05/24/2012, upon signing the rental contract and making our first payment, we were told that our dryer would be delivered to us between 3pm-5pm that day. As of 11:53, Tuesday, 05/29/2012, we have received no dryer. Our experience with Aaron's has went as follows: Thurday morning: signed contract, made payment, was told dryer would be delivered between 3pm-5pm that day. Thursday evening: I call store to ask if they still plan to deliver dryer and have correct address. Manager assures me that they have the correct address and explains that delivery man has 3 living room suites to deliver, also. Delivery man brings dryer @ 8pm but does not bring correct pronged chord for dryer. Explains that he can bring it back the next day. Friday morning: I drive into town to pick up dryer chord. After exchanging it out with the other dryer chord, I start to dry clothes that I had washed the previous day, thinking that our dryer was going to be delivered between 3pm-5pm. An hour later I discover that the dryer is not heating up. I call the store and the representative explains to me that they have no way to "check" if the dryers or working, but that he will send a working dryer out first thing in the morning. Saturday morning: No one comes with a dryer. At noon I call the store and am told that the delivery driver has (once again) three living room suites to deliver but that he will be there by 3pm. I explain to the representative that my family has a BBQ to attend in the afternoon, but that we would wait until 3pm (as we need the dryer)(I continued to wash clothes thinking that I would be receiving a dryer Saturday morning, as told by the Aaron's Rep- so all of my clothes are in baskets waiting to be dried). 3pm comes and goes and no one comes with a dryer. No one calls. Finally, at 5pm, I ask my brother to call and ask if they intend to come. By this time we have already missed the planned BBQ. The rep tells my brother that the man is already on his way. Somewhere between 6pm and 6:30pm the delivery man comes with the new driver. He unloads it and begins to exchange the chords from the dryer that they had originally brought here (that didn't work). The delivery man knocks on my door and begins to explain to me that the dryer he has brought also doesn't work. He said that the screws that bolt the chord are stripped, but that he would deliver a dryer first thing Tuesday morning. At this time I decide to explain my frustration. The delivery man seemed to understand this and my current laundry dilemma. He decides to call the manager and explain our experience thus far. The driver's phone is on speaker phone and so my brother and I listen as the manager says "sometimes in a business people need to be more understanding about things". He also told the driver to "put us on the phone" because he "doesn't have to take that". I'm extremely confused about this entire ordeal, but I find it even more confusing that the manager of this store responded to our frustrations in such a way. Would you be frustrated? We are reasonable and civil people. I feel undervalued as a new customer of this company. I tried to call the 800 number on the website in hopes of speaking to someone who might actually care that we gave our money to people who have repeatedly lied to us and spoke to us with disrespect and indifference. I was put on hold and no one ever picked up the line. I believe my experience can be easily righted, but I can't seem to find anyone willing to care. Do you know anyone in the company who could help me get a dryer delivered to my home? Your help would greatly be appreciated as I am a mother/aunt to 5 school-age children. We have a lot of laundry. :) Thank you for your time. Regards, Amanda N. Johnson

Sad Bad Ugly. Thats how I describe Aaron's Furniture in Bend Oregon. When my furniture was delivered, I noticed under the coffee table and inn tables right away there was something sticking underneath them. I had the driver turn over one table and found gummy and sticky food particles all over the bottom, turned over the other two and found the same thing. The driver called the store and reported the findings, as I checked the sofa and love seat, finding kid toys, pencils, popcorn and change stuck in the groves of the furniture. I should have refused to take ownership of the furniture right there but didnt, I just knew Aaron's would make it right. Well they didnt. And after having the furniture in my home about a week, there was a nasty stench that I didnt notice before and went in search of the odor and found it came from the sofa and love seat. After visiting the store and making complaints, being told Im a liar and I didnt find those things in the furniture even though the driver was there with me, they finally sent someone out with wet markers to 'touch' up the furniture instead of sending someone to actually clean the furniture. I finally called the store and said come and get the furniture, they said I I quote , " you will be charged 4 months payment for the furniture, its stated in the contract" No one told me this would happen. Reporting to BBB and sending a letter to corporate office.
