It is a sad, sad shame that Steve Cases' name was actually ever attached to this company. I called for tech support and they cancelled my account and said that I called in to cancel the service.?? Is that called classic customer service or what. Nobody reads these complaints except the common public. Cancelling my service was NEVER mentioned by me, but they do this to cover their butts. Unless many of you want to raise a class action lawsuit for misrepresentation & fraud, then don't bother wasting your time unless you're just venting. The newest ceo - Joanna Shields will very neatly hide behind the corporate structure and you'll end up talking to someone in Taiwan or India.Don't waste your time with Legal at aol, because you're better off contacting the Department of Justice which is the only way to get any complaint logged on any Internet provider. These companies get away with murder and you won't have a leg to stand on.

CONTACT THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, A DIVISION OF THE GOVERMENT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT AOL. HOPEFULLY THEY'RE THE ONLY COMPANY YOU'LL GET JUSTICE FROM ABOUT AOL.

Contact the Department of Justice for a complaint against AOL. Only means to get anything done.

The new email page is a mess. There is no place to write a reply. It is ugly and messy in format.

AOL steals from the dead!!! My father-in-law passed away in February Knowing he's health was so poor that he would never use a computer again my mother-in-law asked me to cancel his AOL account in November. They never did. I went to visit my Mom-in-law 2 weeks ago to find AOL still billing the credit card for $35 a month since december. I called AOL to protest and they told me they would give me a months credit and that all they could do..... I asked for a supervisor and was told one would call back in 24 hours....3 weeks later and I get a call from someone who cant do anything and lies about what she can do. THEY STEAL FROM THE DEAD AND SCREW OVER THE WIDOW!!!!!!! Look up the word EVEL in the dictionary and you get AOL

Shame there is no "O" listing. Spend 1/2 of yesterday trying to change the expiration date on my credit card for billing. Spoke to several people (sounded like I was calling Mumbai since I could barely understand any of them.) Succeeded ONLY in getting my account cancelled instead. Had to suffer through their ridiculous answering "tree" several times, repeating the same information, and getting madder and madder. Finally had to give them a new credit card and number to reinstate service. Seems their "einsteins" couldn't understand that I only wanted to change the expiration date of my existing card. Totally don't understand how this company stays in business!!! Changed my card expiration date with 5 other companies in 20 minutes with NO problems. Someone/anyone should take the heads of AOL and give them a good boot in the rear end (Oops, can't do that, that's where their heads are).

AOL HAS 2B THE WORSE INTERNET PROVIDER ON THE FACE OF THIS EARTH...THE MOST DIRESPECTFUL PEOPLE THAT I HAVE EVER MET...I CALLED AOL @ 1-800-927-6364 11 TIMES AND EVEY SINGLE TIME WAS DISCONNECTED...AND OF COURSE THE OPERATORS WERE I CALLED WERE ALL IN INDIA, COULD HARDLY SPEAK ENGLISH, AS WELL AS SPOKE SO FAST THAT I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND THEM...EVERYTIME I ASKED THEM TO SLOW DOWN THEY WOULD HANG UP...AOL IS PURE SCUM

I am writing in get my account seldomseen53@aol.com cancelled; I have asked to have this done a year ago. Monies are still coming out of my account; why should I continue to pay for this website and I can get it for free. If I don't hear from the corporate office in a couple days; I will have my credit union cancel the disbursement of funds to your company. Rita Rose, 700 West Washington Street, Highland Springs, Va. 23075 I feel at this point I should have my money refunded because I thought this account had been stopped and found out a few days ago. I had gotten a new card no. but did not authorize for aol to continue to take funds out. HOW did you get the authorization

Dear AOL, I would really like my spam folder back. I get emails from people and certain sites that are blocked. My school email also comes through spam because it recognizes it as a buisiness. Could you fix this? vinegreenM@AOL.com

for at&t to be the best network they sure do suck in customer service i gave them 1 star because -1 wasnt available i had a residential account back in 02 and they act like they couldnt go back that far long story short charges were reversed so now my money is held by the state and i cant get it unless that damned wonderful company named att sends a statement that says my name and my previous address dont be a victim boycott att hell i would even go with metro?

One star is overstated. Tech service is worthless except for a minor issue. They will not give out e-mail address of CEO, even ATT will allow contact

To whom it may concern: I have been with AOL since its inception and all i can say it has degraded to a pardon the expression a "piece of cr**". Nothing works except your commercials sometimes you have to watch them 2 or 3 times before you can get to the story you want to read. I presume no one can contact AOL to express a little criticism since the higher ups only care about profits and more profits. It is truly a shame that a once a dedicated company who cared about its customers has befallen by greed and not caring to even hear how the little people feel about their product. All i can say your product sucks broken links, constant freeze ups, constant bombardment of commercials, etc .If you truly cared about providing a good service you would have a place on AOL where anyone could send an e-mail to the higher ups so they could have even a tiny inkling of what the average user would like! Shame on you AOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a poor email service - in this world of hi tech its shameful to have such a poor performing application and charge for it. Shame on you all at AOL. Get this email fixed or declare you can not, so people can go to other options. I already have... Mike

Lindsay Campbell's AOL Daybreak story about bullying is appalling. Telling nerds to lighten up because bullies are only trying to become more popular or Lindsay's claim to have "turned out all right" completely misses the point. Ms. Campbell and her AOL editors don't understand the issue and clearly demonstrate why they are part of this problem. We are not talking about "one-time" incidents like the one she encountered. Many kids suffer relentless, daily attacks that destroy their self-esteem and isolate them. An inordinate number of them opt to end their lives, instead of continuing to suffer the torment. Too bad the construction worker wasn't your spokesperson--he at least grew to understand how wrong bullying is. You should pull this segment and AOL and Ms. Campbell should apologize.

How the hell do they get away with this - well I was going to say 'service' There are no Managers, Supervisors and NO complaints department, BS. I HATE THEM They are taking the .... Why doesn't someone from AOL, who has any credibility come on here and answer our questions?????????????????? to chicken or just robbers I think

I have not been able to access my e-mail account for a very long time, why is this?

AOL LOST MY MAIL AND MY FOLDERS. MY EMAILS CAME BACK AFTER ONE WEEK HOWEVER I KEEP MY ENTIRE BUSINESS IN MY 40 FOLDERS. IAM TOLD BY AOL THAT THE FOLDERS ARE NOT RECOVERABLE AND THAT I MUST GO THRU APPROS 4000 EMAILS AND RESAVE IN NEW FOLDERS THIS IS INSANE I NEED HELP IN FINDING HELP AT AOL ANY SUGGESTIONS

Why isn't there an option for "0 Stars"? I have been using AOL since 1996. A few years ago I changed to a "free" account. Monday morning, I check my email and all of them... GONE! Inbox, Outbox, Old Mail, Deleted. Everything.. GONE! I called to have them retrieved. They said I'd have to re-activate my account in order to get tech support. Their tech support was of no help when I was paying for it, why would I bother. And, this wasn't any issue I had. My account was fine Sunday night 10pm, fine again Monday morning 5am. When I checked again at 8am, everything was gone. Now, it only happened with one of my accounts. However, what's to make me think that this won't happen across the board. This is was AOL's system fault, not mine, and I should not have to re-activate anything. They should be retrieving all emails, all of importance, with no questions asked. They don't need access to my computer to do that. Go into the damn servers & retrieve them. No wonder why everyone I know is switching to their cable companies or DSL.

It is amazing to see a company like AOL still in existence given the quality of their service. And I have been paying a monthly fee for it! I called on Novenber 22nd to point out a relatively minor problem on my AOL mail. Since the technicians were having a difficult time resolving it, they were given permission by me to access my computer. That is when the problems mushroomed. They lost access to my Address book. They could not fix it. The technicians passed on the problem to each other. One even hung up on me when he could not fix the problem on the first try. They promised to call at a certain time, but did not follow thru' at the mutually agreed time. It has been a nightmare. I have spent hours of my time with them. I sent messages on the feedback and get a standard email reply of how to take care of problems on my own. If they cannot understand what they are doing and have contaminated the files ( now they say the files are contaminated! )they should be reported to the appropriate authorities. I did not have these problems prior to giving them access to my computer. I have left a message today with Eoin Ryan, Investor Relations to return my call. Let us hope the company realizes where they are heading and reach out to those who are having these major issues. Otherwise they will not be able to prevent the downward spiral that AOL is experiencing. At this point in time I need a call from a person with authority who can make things happen. And someone with authority to take charge and follow through. K. M. Browning

I signed up with aol when they first started. They were charging my account $21.95.I don't use aol very much anymore. I called to cancel and some woman who was talking from the Philipines asked why I was cancelling. I told her I don't want to pay for a service I don't use. She said this has been free for 4 years. She sent me to dispute department and was told I have two accounts 1 free and the other was not. I only have one account. We got disconnected. When I called again I got Romania and was told they don't see any accounts and I should send all my bank statements to them for review. They said they would investige and should take six months My bank put a block on my account so they can't go in and debit me. What a crock of shit plus deception from aol
